Good Monday Morning Ladies,
I hope that you have all had a nice relaxing weekend, ours was definitely a weekend of two halves as far as weather goes, Saturday was bright and breezy, perfect for moving boxes etc as it wasn't too warm, yesterday was awful it rained pretty much all day. They got a lot of the smaller stuff moved though. Paul has a bigger van booked for next weekend, it has a tail lift to make things easier.
Today's card is one of my favourite uses of old backgrounds.....
This is the background, when I looked at it I sea either a rough sea or a stormy sky. I went with sea, I used a retired StampinUp stamp set for the ship, I think the sentiment was a magazine free stamp. I stamped the topper in Uncharted Mariner Ink and Oxide. The background was smooshed ink. Dont you love how it looks like waves are crashing over the topper.
I added an ⚓️ charm on some colour coordinated Bakers Twine to finish the card.
I was quite pleased with how this one turned out.
I hope that you all have a great start to the week,
Love and hugs to all of you,
Sandra xxxxxx
The background is perfect for the topper We had surprise visitors yesterday afternoon It was lovely to see daughter and the boys
ReplyDeleteWe’re on grandparent duty this week with Oscar As we have membership to the zoo and he loves soft play that’s where we’re headed
Take care everyone xx
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteI love your card, the background is perfect for the image.
We had rain most of the day yesterday, and today has started off grey and dull!
Sounds like the move is going well, won’t be long before you’re in and making your new house a beautiful home.
Have a good day everyone
Sending hugs to you all xxx
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteFabulous background for this card Sandra. Love it.
Gone out for a walk this morning, not doing too well. Coffee at a garden centre. Need to run the hoover around this afternoon, have visisters tomorrow and going out for lunch. Hoping to start a card as well.
Have a nice day, many hugs to you all. xxx
Hello All. Rain on and off, very humid.
ReplyDeleteLove your card Sandra, as has been said it’s perfect for the stamp.
Hope you are taking it easy, and getting plenty of rest.
Am putting on my thinking cap for the next card, think I’ll use the ready made backgrounds, as most of mine end up in the bin. Need to have a look through Pinterest, to get some ideas.
Enjoy the rest of your day, Lilian
Hello Sandra and everyone,
ReplyDeleteGreat background for this card, it really looks as though the ship is sailing on the ocean. It’s brilliant when a background really works in this way.
We had a lovely weekend in Essex celebrating daughters 60th birthday. The party was brilliant all the family and extended family and friends were there, everyone had a great time. Today I have just taken life easy and not done very much at all….. recharging the batteries as they say.
Sandra hope the move is going well and you are all not to exhausted.
Take care, love and hugs, Brenda xxx
Hi Sandra and all looking in today. I love this card and your background is perfect with it. And yes it does definitely look like the stormy sea is splashing over the topper 😄 It is brilliant, I love it.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear Paul got lots moved at the weekend and fingers crossed next weekend stays dry! Thinking of you my lovely Xx
