Michele's Freebie Die card & Challenge

Good Morning Ladies,

WOW, what a whirlwind this week has been, or it might be more accurate to say 'Whirlpool !!

I had a lovely day yesterday, I had to 'Have a word with myself' and get over a Chronic bout of Anxiety, but I booked myself onto a Groovi Workshop in Witney, got Lucy to drop me off outside the Church Hall where it was held, I hovered outside the door for a few minutes trying to persuade myself to walk through the door, my alternative was to struggle with a huge bag on my crutches which was too much of a struggle.  So I held my head hi and walked it, Only to discover I was at the wrong church hall (Only me)! The kind lady showed me where I needed to go, luckily it was over the road, so I slowly made my way there.  By this time I was so cold I walked straight in and was directed to the right hall, I was greeted by the lovely ladies, who couldn't do enough to help me and make me feel welcome.  Our Pat was there to which made it easier for me, there were about 6 other ladies that were all lovely, such a pleasure to meet.
We all worked on the same project, which is a stunning card, I will share mine when I have finished it.  Ronk the instructor was so very helpful and encouraging. I will definitely be going back again!!

Michele's 'Freebie' Challenge

Michele bought a new magazine on Wednesday and it had a gorgeous Free die on the fromt, it's so detailed, very intricate and detailed with flowers Foliage and deers.
Michele has simply die cut the image and added to a lovely shade of green background, finishing it with that lovely sentiment.

Your Challenge for next week from Michele is that you make a project using something that you have received as a FREE gift.  It can be a gift from a magazine or a Buy one get one free deal or even something you have received as a gift.
I hope that you all can find a freebie to use, I can't wait to see your projects my lovelies xxx

I hope that you all have a lovely weekend,

Love and hugs to all,

Sandra

  2. Morning Ladies

Sandra-what a lovely day you must have e had yesterday (once you found the right church & calmed down). Even better that Pat was there so you knew someone. Looking forward to seeing what you both create.

My card was so simple-the Die is an Xcut one and cuts really easily. The sentiment is a very very old Cuttlebug one from an alphabet set of Dies.

Lovely relaxing start to my day off-the class is 11-2pm so I might pop into Southport once I’ve finished then I have all day tomorrow free.

  3. Hi Sandra & Ladies
I’m glad you enjoyed the class yesterday Sandra. It was only my second class with Ronk. But she’s doing 1 every month. I had met Ronk before when I used to go over to Carole’s. Funny that we all chose the same card to do. It all took longer than normal as the plates Ronk had ordered didn’t arrive from Clarity. I hope you didn’t have to wait to long for Lucy.
Saw the dentist first this morning as I have a loose tooth and toothache. Should have gone sooner as I now have an infection and was prescribed antibiotics. So can’t now have it out until the 9th Dec.
Great card yesterday Sandra as I’d forgot to look.
Lovely Die Michele and card you made from it.
Take care out there everyone as the weather isn’t to clever. Might go and finish off yesterday’s card.

    2. Hi Maria
Yes I always enjoy my classes. I’m going to start going to Redditch as Hazel & Maria are no longer doing classes at crafters companion. They hardly stock any Groovi now. They say it’s vecause no one buys it. But if they don’t have the new stuff how can you buy it. It’s probably vecause Sara Davies has moved over to C & C.
