Your Challenge cards

Good Morning Ladies,

I hope that you are all relaxed and enjoying the weekend, it was lovely and sunny here yesterday, there has been no reain for a couple of days so some of the flooding has subsided in the fields, the Thames is still overflowing its banks though, I am always surprised how strong the current is along our little section of the Thames, I saw a man encourage his dog to jump in in the summer, at the time it was only about 3 feet deep at the most, his dog was all but swept away, he ended up jumping in to rescue it, so I dread to think how strong it is right now, it's flowing so fast. It's nice to watch though.

Anyway let's get on with viewing these amazing cards, you have all embraced this challenge and made some stunning cards.........

Lilian

Lilian, such a beautiful 'traditional' coloured Christmas card, the colour might be traditional but the Easel fun fold isn't traditional at all, I love the look of your card Lilian, please tell me what that Embossing folder is that you have used, it's stunning and has given really crisp detail to your background. Your stamped poinsettia is gorgeous, have you fussy cut it?
The lovely Ivy stamped along the bottom and on the stopper is  delicate and those red gems really make it pop.

Thank you so much for taking part my lovely, I really do look forward to seeing your card each week XXX
Maria

Maria has also made a Gorgeous Gatefold Christmas card for our Fun Fold Challenge.
I really love the 'deckle' edge of your gatefold Maria, that Ivy die is lovely too, you really cannot beat the Red/Green & white Christmas card, it just works!
Those little flowers are beautiful and have such lovely detail embossed into them.
Thank you so much Maria, I know that you have had a busy week and weekend, so I really appreciate you taking part, I also look forward to sharing the other fantastic cards that you emailed. XXX

Janet

Janet has made 3 gorgeous cards for our Fun Fold Challenge,  I love the Double Easel (1st Card), using the bows as the stopper was a genius idea Janet. The Double Gatefold is a lovely card too, I love the Clean and Simple front, lovely seeing you using those older dies too.
I think everyone will love your little jacket card, you can do so many things with that card style.

For my first CC I used Tonic Easel die. I made two easel cards and joined them together to make a double easel. I then covered them with a page from a 12x12 pad from The Paper Tree called 'Yuletide Memories' added the sentiment to  finish.

My second card is based around a 8x8 card blank.covered with paper from my stash. I then used a 6x6 blank which I folded and scored a border around. I die cut a piece of white card (sue Wilson)using the die New York - Union Square (this is one of her first dies). To finish I used a flower and peel off butterflies from my stash.

My last card is based around an A4 piece of silver coloured card. I follded each end to meet in the middle/I then folded back each piece to give the effect of a coat. To complete the idea I used a flower on one lapel/birthday greeting on the opposite lapel. I used four coloured buttons down the front. The inside of the card has a sheet of grey shiny paper embossed with roses. I used this paper to create the pocket on the coat.

Thanks Janet, for 3 fantastic cards, enjoy the rest of your holiday xxx

Michele

Not one but 6 amazing Stepper cards from Michele for this weeks Fun Fold Challenge.
I love all of the different colours you have used Michele, they fold flat for posting too, which is always a bonus at Christmas.  These will be perfect for your Sale Table, this would be a great die to have on hand for batch making cards.
Thank you so much Michele for 6 fab Stepper cards XXX

Karen

What an amazing display of Fun Fold cards from Karen for this weeks challenge...
The First card Karen has shared is Hidden Message Card (that I did a Video Tutorial for a while ago)
You have mastered that technique amazingly, I love your design too.
Karen's second card is an elaborate gatefold card with a very clever closure, who doesn't love a Minion?! An amazing and very clever design Karen.
Karen's 3rd card is also a Gatefold this time it features a fab Chelsea Pensioner Topper, I love the crisp colours of this card too Karen.

Karen I know you have had a shocker of a week, so I am over the moon that we have some cards under your name this week,  Thank you ! I hope that you are enjoying your weekend. XXX

  1. Morning Ladies

What an amazing selection of challenge cards today-all so different.

I had a lovely time yesterday afternoon in my craft room. I put some washing outside but it was a bit late & it didn’t quite dry. We have another fine day forecast so I can put more washing outside today & I think we’re going to do a final tidy up in the garden.

A beautiful sunny (cold) day today I will finish the ironing and then “play” and this afternoon we’re going to a Salsa event It’s a fundraiser for a very young brilliant dancer
    Take care all xxx

  3. Hi Sandra & Ladies.
Wow what a stunning array of cards on show today. Love them all.
Well it’s quite dull here today. But no rain. The weather is supposed to improve this coming week. But whatever the weather men say for our area it’s never quite correct, I’m glad to hear that the Thames is subsiding in your area Sandra. Hopefully I can get over. The river Windrush which runs through Witney didn’t burst it banks this year by us. Flooded the fields but that was all. Although the Hailey Rd the main rd up to us was awash with water off of the fields it didn’t get into any ones houses this time. Better flood defences now in place.
Special hugs to anyone in pain.

  7. Hello Sandra and ladies,
Ladies what a fantastic display of challenge cards, you are all so talented and inspiring.
Sandra I finally got around to watching your Video using the Heartfelt Creation Blossom Mould. The video is brilliant, so no beating yourself up and paying attention to negative comments. I was thinking of giving Anne one of these as part of her Christmas present as she has now started to make her own flowers
, then you said it wouldn’t work with the Gemini (Boo Hoo she has a Gemini) ...... But you saved the day explaining how you had achieved the same results without a die cutting machine...... Thank you so much for for working this our, you really are a star. xx
Goodnight and Sleep well ladies, Love Brenda xxx
