Pat's Sparkle Groovi Card

Good Morning Ladies,

I was just not up to making a card yesterday, maybe I should have tried, as making one from such an odd angle may have given me an unusual, unique, 'abstract' design!!!   I was really frustrated as Sue and I rummaged around and found loads of different things to add to the laminator sheets to heat and I was really excited about seeing how they all turned out.  One thing to warn you about if you try and die cut your laminated backgrounds, they really 'crunch' when you run them through the die cutting machine!

Today's card is one of Pat's gorgeous Groovi Christmas cards, Pat has added Glitter onto the ribbon that has been tied into a beautiful bow at the top of the middle Bauble.  Just zoom in and look at the fine detail that Pat has added to the inside of the baubles, there are snowflakes in the right hand side bauble, pretty heart dangles and holly leaves in the centre bauble and the left hand side one has a pretty design too.
As well as the baubles and beautiful ribbon there are pretty beaded dangles curling around the design too.
Pat this is an absolutely gorgeous Christmas card with a hint of sparkle, thank you so much for sending it for me to share with our friends xxx

I'm hoping to be able to able to film a couple of Tutorials today.

I hope that you all have a lovely day,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra

  1. Morning Everyone
What a beautiful card PAT. You really do hold the crown for our Groovi Queen.

We had a reasonable day weather wise yesterday with some sun but it was a little too wet for me to get out into the garden. Jim went and cut one or two roses and shoots which were growing around a Hibiscus bush but that was all.
The Highlight of the day was we had a little man from the Electricity Board come to say he was going to replace our meter. So OK Jim showed him where our meter is (outside in the back lane on a pole) he then came back inside with the little man who looked at our mains box shook his head and said he couldn't replace the meter. They want to put a SMART meter inside the house but he just said he couldn't do it and they would write to us with further information. We will not hold our breath. Heaven only knows when our meter was originally fitted and it probably hasn't been changed at all. We wait and watch this space.

I have to photo my CC and get them sent off this morning and I want to go up the garden and look at the beetroot which is still in the ground to see if it is OK. If so then it's into the pan for pickling.

Have a good day everyone. Take care and stay safe.HUGS are on their way to you all.xxxx

    1. We’re having sims issues in that we need two men to fit the SMART meter Lord knows why
That was over a year ago We get the odd call about “would we like one” we say “yes we’re still waiting for you to come and fit one” It’s got a bit farcical now - Good luck!

  2. Morning Ladies

Sandra-dirty go heat you’re still suffering. Hope you feel better soon.

    Pat-what a stunning card, it’s gorgeous.

I phoned Scottish Power yesterday to query our electric bill because our usage has allegedly gone up by four times. The person in the call centre couldn’t understand my query and thought I was saying I was having financial problems paying the bil!! I gave up but I’m going to report my meter as faulty today & see what happens!!

  4. Morning ladies,

A work of Art Pat, that is the prettiest card I have seen for a long time.

The warmth of Heaven has now arrived in our home. Our new gas fire was fitted yesterday, no more cold living room. Although the sun is on it for most of the day the autumn nights are getting chillier to my bones.
Still busy getting everything done for my Secret Santa stall at Cannington Christmas. And making small bags for Halloween treats. Milly-May is coming to stay with me again for it. She does not like being out in the dark so good compromise for her to be with me. She absolutely enjoyed last year's and said 'Thank you for coming' to everybody who arrived at the door.

Hope you are all well and your day becomes kinder to you
    Love 7 hugs Cheryl xxx

  7. Hi everyone
So sorry to see your back have gone out Sandra, I hope you soon feel better and can get around easier.
Pat, a wonderful card today. Always like seeing your Groovi work and this is lovely.
Have had a bit of a catch up today with a lot of things as we had a mini break to Prague ,it is a nice place but we stayed just outside town and walked in so did more then a marathon in tree days. It was rather hilly in some areas so now paying for all the walking around but it was well worth a visit.
The cards the last few days have been very nice and Sunday once were all lovely. Hope to make a cc tomorrow and as the rain is coming it be good to just be indoors.
Special gentle hugs for anyone in pain and I hope the day tomorrow will be better for everyone. Love & hugs , Maria xx
