Good Morning Ladies,
You have all made some amazing cards for our 'Things With Wings' Challenge, so without further delay, here we go.........
Lynda
Lynda has been doing what she does best for this weeks Challenge, making amazing backgrounds!
Lynda's Description:
"That special touch mask Dasie used DS oxide Mustard sead, carved pumpkin. then stamped SU flower stamp Bee's & dragonflies
Second one Blended card with blue yellow red butterflies JW.
SW someone special"
Thanks Lynda for two amazing cards, try and take it easy today my lovely and stay sitting down, feet up! XXX
Maria
Maria has covered all occasions with her Challenge cards, using Angels, Planes & Butterflies for her 'Wings'
Card 1: Maria has used one of Sue Wilson's Angels as the main focus of thd card, die cutting her in Gold which works perfectly with the cream background, that has been embossed with snowflakes, the embellishment Maria has used is Sue Wilson Poinsettia which is placed beside the sentiment on a die cut banner.
Card 2: A perfect 'Man' card, Maria had used a RAF Harrier Jet Decoupaged topper as the main focus for this card, using mats of blue card for the background, a great card for Men.
Card 3: Maria had used an absolutely stunning topper featuring pretty vases of flowers with butterflies flying around them. A beautiful card Maria.
Thank you so much for taking part and making 3 fantastic cards, I hope you enjoy your few days away xxx
Michele
Michele has gone for a Butterfly for her Challenge card, cleverly using it as a base for the sentiment.
The card was made using one of the lovely 'Apple Blossom ' dies, that we all love, I like them as they make such a quick card but you can also really dress them up to make them into a really special occasion card.
Michele has used the matching dies to create that pretty lace edged border and added the pretty butterflies.
Thank you so much for such a pretty card Michele XXX
Pat
Pat's 'Things with Wings' card features a lovely Robin. It is of course a lovely 'Groovi' card.
I love the Robin Pat, you have coloured him perfectly, I love that you have included his 'footprints ' as it gives a fun element to the card, he looks like he is eyeing up those Holly Berries.
Layering onto the Red background works really well too.
Thanks Pat for sharing such a lovely card XXX
Lilian
Lilian has made a beautiful 'Just a Note' card for this weeks Challenge . As always with Lilian's card every part of the card is perfect, the blue section of the card actually looks like linen, I am guessing it's a stamp, upon which Lilian has placed the beautifully stamped and coloured Bird, the foliage and berries really stand out from the background. Your card looks like a pretty Mixed Media card, I love the look Lilian, thank you so much for taking part, despite feeling under the weather XXX
Janet
Janet, how you managed to fit in time to make two amazing Challenge cards with everything else you have had to do this week, but you did and they are both stunning!
Janet's Description:
"My First card is made using a Tonic Edger die and the butterflies are also Tonic. The sentiment is Crafter's Companion.
"My second card is also made using Tonic Dies 'Wings and Things' decorated with stones and sequins from my stash box. I highlighted the Fairy's shoes and skirt. The sentiment is also Tonic from the same set (I think)."
Thank you Janet, Bon Voyage!!! Enjoy your break in paradise ! XXX
Brenda
Brenda has used Butterflies for her 'Wings' for this week's Challenge, such a beautiful card!
Brenda's Description:
"Yes it’s a Butterfly! I have had the Crafters Companion EF for ages, I think it was one of the early Cut and Emboss folders. I ran my card in the EF through my machine, added some mounting foam to the back and stuck it to my card, then I put in scraps of card just where the butterflies are, cut them out then attached these on top of the butterflies on my card just for a little more interest, added a sentiment and a few flowers - job done! "
I love everything about your card Brenda, thank you so much for taking part XXX
Karen
Karen managed to squeeze in making 3 Challenge cards featuring 'Things With Wings', I love them all, my favourite is definitely the 3rd card with its 'Wobbly Birds' !!
Karen's Description:
Hearts and Roses digikit cut on ScanNCut and I’ve used CS Diamond Sprinkles (I know it doesn’t really show)
Second one a Serif background and embellishment from Serif ‘Tis the Season
The sentiment is a die cut from a magazine freebie I edged the background with CS Iced Snow
Serif ‘Tis the Season I used DO around card blank and spritzed with water I fussy cut the birds again and mounted them onto a zigzag of acetate When you hold the card they wobble as if they are shivering.
Thank you so much Karen for finding time to make 3 incredible cards, I really appreciate it XXX

Morning Ladies
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic selection of challenge cards today, all lovely.
SUE & PAT-I think the problem you’re having is trying to log in via Google. I had the same issue & had to log in using Google Chrome and there’s no problem. In fact, any blogs I view via Bloglovin come up with message saying “not secure “ and I’m not logged in so I can’t comment. Hope this solves your problem.
Karen-Don’t laugh but my two most memorable moments from. Singapore are...the subway system (it’s amazing-clean, excellent value and in some stations it’s 5 levels) and the Airport...there’s a Tropical Garden within the airport which is absolutely stunning and most of it is free. The airport is set over 6 levels and has a awesome amount of shops.
Had a lovely lazy day yesterday-popped into the village then stayed at home all day. Managed to get some washing dry so now there’s an ironing mountain.
My plan is to slowly de-stash my craft room so I can re-organise everything. I didn’t get very far yesterday but it was enjoyable.
Michele
Haha I know exactly what you mean It’s things like that that give a lasting impression
DeleteFor instance The little things in NY that “got” me was walking down a street and you can actually see the Subway trains through the grates on the path It was a bit like the Marilyn Munro’s moment when a train roared through underneath you
Morning all First I just want to say thank you for you lovely comments yesterday on the craft ladies makes Some of them hated the colour combination but still went for it The monster is going to sit on my desk to encourage me to be more bold
ReplyDeleteFabulous cards today ladies You inspire me sooo much I love that EF you used BRENDA I have a few EF’s and forget to use them You’ve prompted me to get them out of the drawer

OH is still in bed (obviously!) and we don’t have much planned today The weather is cold and wet too So I’d like to stay in the warm and slob in front of the television with my crochet!
Enjoy your Sunday and Take care xx
PS I have logged on via GOOGLE CHROME and it has done the trick for me You can create bookmarks so you don’t have to keep typing in the search bar for regular sites you visit
Pat's Comment:
ReplyDeleteHi Sandra & Ladies.
Such lovely stunning cards today. Each one is gorgeous. I’d forgotten I’d sent you this one Sandra. Seeing Karen springy birds reminded me I need to finish my springy bees 🐝 card I started awhile ago. I’d finished it all bar attaching the bees. I think I’d started it at your house Sandra quite awhile ago.
Gentle hugs to all who need one today. Extra hugs for Lynda & Lilian.
Good morning Sandra and ladies
