Sonmething to brighten your day!

Good Morning Ladies,

Did you all stay dry?  The river has flowed into many more fields and has crept further up the gardens of the very expensive houses who's gardens open onto the Thames, their patio furniture is mostly under water and the poor birds will need scuba gear to use the Bird Bath!

I did manage a few hours in my craft room yesterday, mostly making flowers, to use in a Video about the Heartfelt Creations Flower Shaping Mold, it is a fantastic tool, especially if you struggle with the usual flower shaping tools, they are quite work.

I used some of the flowers that I made to make today's card, I had used an offcut of Berry Burst card to see if the tool would work with different weights of card, non of the flowers that I have used for this card are a selection of random punches and dies, as I was also wanting to see if the Mold only worked with the dies that came with it, as you can see if works with any flower die cut or punch, The large flower is the Stampin Up Petal Punch, the smaller ones are a combination of the Stampin Up Petite Petal Punch and Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers Thinlits.
The card it self is made using Stampin Up Berry Burst card and Matching Designer series paper, that I embossed and then layered up.  I used a Joanna Sheen Lace die and the other side of the DSP for the lace die cut, then I added a Leafy Swirl, die cut in Old Olive, the leaves are die cut from the same colour paper, I coated most things with Wink of Stella Glitter, which gives the leaves a realistic looking sheen, I arranged the flowers with the leaves and some little pink stamens.  To finish the card I stamped the Happy Birthday from Teeny Tiny Sentiments, I used the matching punch to cut the sentiment and added it to the card.
I am quite happy with how it turned out, I hope you like it too!

I hope that you all have a lovely day,

Love and hugs

Sandra

Sandra-I love your card, the colours are gorgeous-nice & bright.

We had s lovely dry, sunny day yesterday-not that I actually saw it! Today we have heavy rain again!

I’m off out to meet a friend tonight for a pub meal. It’s late when I meet my friend due to her work commitments but I’m hoping I won’t be too late home.

  4. Hi Sandra & Ladies
Lovely card today Sandra love the colour you’ve used.
Just come in from having lunch with friends near Abingdon. Marion’s grandson was working today in the pub. He’s having a gap year and working part time. He also has a gardening business, does woodworking as well. Selling stuff at craft shows. Not to bad for an 18 year old. Robert ( Marion’s husband ) said he’s got more money than me.
A lovely day here as well today, suns out as well. Much better than the dreary weather we have been having.

Hope all you ladies who have been luncheon lately had a nice meal and a good catch up with friends. As I was looking after my neighbours cat for a week, we are meeting up hopefully next Monday for lunch, depending on her work.
Pat, Marion is lucky to have a grandson who is working hard, well done to him.
See you all again tomorrow, have a good night. I've been sitting here to about 3am the last nights so waiting for it to catch up. Hugs xx
