Good Thursday Morning Ladies,
Paul came home yesterday speaking of an 'Indian Summer' being on its way, he heard it on the news while driving to work, I got all excited, thinking I'd have some lovely weather to sit out on our new deck next week and I was pleased as Sonia is going away next week so it would have made her week a bit more enjoyable too, however when I checked the 10 day forecast it looked very changeable with lots of cloud and high of 17° !! Hopefully it will change for the better! Either way we have plenty to do to keep us busy!
Carpet cleaners are coming in today, so we have another early start! Hopefully get the rest of the cleaning finished too!
Today's card is the stunning Birthday card that Lilian made for me, I absolutely love the dramatic effect of stamping in black, its stunning, it shows more of the detail of the stamp.. i will definitely be having a go at stamping these Tim Holtz stamps in black. Thank you for such a lovely birthday card and for Inspiring me XXX

Oh, an Indian summer would be lovely for next week. However I’ve been keeping an eye on the forecast too, and unfortunately it does look unsettled where we’re going - Wales! Oh well, you never know. To be honest I’m just looking forward to the break and a change of scenery. We do have one day out planned, to visit Barmouth on the coast. Other than that I’ll be spending most of my time in the hot tub ☺️
I hope you get the rest of the cleaning done today, it will be a relief for you. Then you can concentrate on your new home 😅 Just take it slowly 🥰

Hello, sorry I didn’t get in yesterday but I just felt ‘wiped’ out, I think it was a bad reaction from my vaccinations the day before. Never had that happen before.

ReplyDeleteI hope the carpet cleaners did a good job and you are feeling happy about handing the keys back to the agent for Manor Lodge. The agents are the ones who should be inspecting it as they are the ones you have dealt directly with and I’m sure they will be more than happy with the way you have looked after the house.
Sandra a really Beautiful card from Lilian for your birthday. I love these Tim Holtz stamps but never thought to stamp them in black on a coloured background, it works so well. Lilian your card’s are always so inspiring thank you for making me think outside the box.
Lilian I hope you are feeling better today following your reaction to the Covid vaccine. I had a reminder text from our GP today, I rang and we are having ours on the 7th October 🤞

Hope the handover is done alright on Saturday and the cleaning is to his standard. He doesn't seem a very nice manit was said to be around +24c next week but it seems to have changed. Really hope your week away Sonia will be lovely anyway 😊
I have had a day in bed so just watching a film with OH this evening and only had pasta so not much to do.

It would be wonderful if we had an Indian summer next week especially for you Sonia.
I hope all of you having annual jabs don’t suffer any nasty side effects. Chris had his flu and pneumonia(?) jabs the other day and is still feeling a bit off colour.
Where has the year gone? Can’t believe it’s nearly October already!
