Sue's Clean & Simple Challenge card

Good Monday Morning Ladies,

Wasn't that a lovely weekend? Such a treat to have some  beautiful sunshine all day and a thunder storm to break the heat a little,  I did feel a little sad though as there was a wedding in our lovely village church the weather was perfect as they went into church at 3pm, sadly as the church bells rang at the end of their ceremony there was incredible fork lightening followed by very loud ⛈️ thunder,  the big house where they had their reception fortunately had a big marquee type thing so they had shelter, it may have spoilt their photos though.  It sounded like they were having a lovely time though and the sun did reappear early evening.

Today's card is Sue's Clean and simple challenge card, I did see that Sue had sent it on Saturday evening but after having a shower and sitting down to watch a film with Paul I totally forgot about it, so I am sharing it today.

Sue's Description:

The same card as last week but with colour change looking so different. The trees are die cut and adhered onto the base card, not inlaid as it looks on the first one! As usual I struggled with adding the sentiment. I need to buy some nice small Christmas sentiments stamps and or dies.

Thank you so much Sue for another great clean & simple Christmas card, you are right, it looks so different in white and grey, what a brilliant idea to use the ribbon for your sentiment!!  Thanks again my lovely XXX

We are forecast storms this morning, followed by a few days of sunshine 🌞,

I hope that you all have a lovely day,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra                                                                    xxxxxx

  1. Hi everyone
Lovely card Sue 😍 Love the ribbon sentiment.
We seemed to dodge the rain and storms yesterday, but it was very humid! Shame about the wedding in the village, it just seems typical after all the lovely weather we’ve had.
We had a wonderful afternoon visiting Teddy 😍 All the cuddles were worth the wait. Not long before we see him again as we’ll be going again Thursday to bring James home.
I hope you all had a lovely weekend.
Sending hugs to you all xxx

  2. Hi everyone
Lovely card Sue. Hope you are alright.
It looks like the storm is coming to us today and it is very muggy so not feeling too good. Only got four hours sleep last night so will take it slowly today and just sit and do some crystal art.
Have a good day everyone. Many hugs xx

  3. Another very hot day again, we are desperate for rain, been on a hosepipe ban since last August, they keep saying it’s going to be thunder storms, but no sign yet.

How is everyone coping with this hot weather, couldn’t sleep last night, so did my ironing at 2am .

Sue great card, I keep meaning to start my Christmas cards, but have no thoughts as what I’m going to do.

Sandra I hope you’re feeling a bit better now. Did you get any antibiotics?

Going to get some lunch, have a good afternoon all, careful in the heat.Lilian

  4. Hi Sandra and all looking in. You all made fabulous challenge cards for yesterday. A great selection.
The tree in the middle of my card is actually diver but I really struggled to get a decent shot! It was odd to see the same card looking so different. Does anyone have some small sentiments that you turn to time and time again? Not just Christmas ones either? I would be grateful for your advice.
Sonia, wonderful to see that you finally got those very special first cuddles with Teddy πŸ₯°πŸ₯°
We had a fantastic thunder storm late afternoon yesterday. The best one we have had for years. Both the thunder and lightening went on for over an hour. We had another much smaller one about the same time today but the humidity is high again now.
Sending hugs to all. Take carexx

  5. Hello Everyone,
Sue your cards a lovely, how organised are you - I haven’t even thought about Christmas yet. All of the family birthdays have yet to happen, oh I tell a fib two of the grandchildren have had their birthdays, but that still leaves the rest of the family to make cards for. My mojo seems nonexistent right now. Maybe it’s the heat getting to me. Excuses, excuses!! πŸ˜„
Hopefully I will have a better nights sleep than last night.
Take care everyone, love Brenda xxx
