Diecutting Essentials Issue 99 Review
This months issue definitely has a 'Spring' feel to it
The free gift is a pretty 2 layer tulip stamp with matching die and some bonus sentiment dies.
This first feature shares some lovely ideas for the free stamps, there are some pretty cards.
This technique using different forms of adding metallic finishes to your projects. There are different methods used on the different projects.
Sandra was asked to use the free die set to create cards for different occasions, the cards are lovely.
This tutorial shows you how to create Hinges using cardstock to create fun and interesting cards.
This month's Focus is sharing ideas for using some of your smaller stamps to create background designs.
Another way to get more use out of your dies, especially ones with intricate designs. You ink the back of the dies and then run them through your Diecutting machine, you can zoom in on the 'how too' above for all details.

This first stamp set is an old one that I bought from Facebook craft destash site, I love that vintage floral spray.
My wonderful husband went out to look for this magazine that Sue featured last week, to cheer me up while I was poorly.
I treated myself to these bits when I placed an order for Brenda last week. I can't wait to play.
These stamp and die set is another one I found on fb craft selling page, you can stamp the newspaper and die cut it to wrap around the bouquet!! Something different I thought!

Crafty Re-purposing
This craft storage was for inks, I had all of my Distress inks in it before my reorganisation, It seemed a shame to not use it, so I laid it on its back under my desk and used it to store my cards and envelopes and at the top ( left side) is my Pink Frog card that I use for everything, I thought it was a genius 💡 idea ! 🤣😂

ReplyDeleteLove the quote I keep looking at a card I have made and really want to unstick a piece of ribbon BUT unfortunately the mark it would leave is in exactly the wrong place for an embellishment!
Great magazine Die Cut Essentials is one of my favourites I daren’t buy it though as I already have a few tulip items
My sister in law and husband are popping over later to collect this card So I’m off to Lidl to get some lovely freshly baked bread for lunch

Die Cutting Essentials this month is packed with inspiration, my copy arrived last week. I asked John to bring me some magazines from home to read, well this was one of the ones he bought in, so I have been able to digest the contents, which is good but also frustrating because I want to try so many different ideas.
Yesterday was a busy day say so many visits from doctors, specialists nurses and pharmacy staff, even a Doctor who treated me on SDEC she just stopped by to say hello, which was a lovely treat as they are all so busy, John bless him came in the afternoon and later on for evening visiting also Daughters and youngest granddaughter, so it was a busy day all round I even had a good nights sleep which is almost unheard off in hospital.
Great shopping ladies, looking forward to seeing what you create, I’m sure you will produce beautiful creations.
I feel as though I’ve been up half the day already and it’s only just after 9am.

Sandra, thank you for a great review. The tulip dies are lovely, one of my favourite flowers and there are some really pretty cards using them in the magazine. Might have to have a look for it. It is harder and harder to find stockists of paper crafting magazines in our area though. The big Tescos and WHSmiths are the only ones to sell several of them. I hope you all had s lovely day celebrating the twins birthdays. They were very shy 13 year olds when we first meet and are now two beautiful lovely young ladies 🥰🥰 You are rightly so proud of them. It is frightening how fast the years have flown by though isn’t it!

I managed to make one and a half cards this afternoon which is almost unheard of but I got inspiration from the latest Simply cards and papercraft which gas daffodil stamps & an ef so great for the challenge this week. Just have to colour some more daffodils in to add to the second card.
