Good Wednesday Morning Ladies,
We had a bit of a dreary day yesterday, it drizzled on and off all day, now we were going to switch the Aga off at the weekend but we left it, which I am glad about, as it meant I could get all of the washing dry today. Actually used the bottom oven of the Aga to make 'Fruit Leather' she blended some Mangoes with Agave nectar (which is a natural sugar alternative) then spread it over baking parchment and popped in slow cook oven in Aga, after about 5 hours it was ready, it basically almost dehydrates it making it into chewy stripes that will keep for ages in a zip lock bag, better than having the mangoes go to waste.
Maria just to let you know I shared your beautiful Wolf Crystal art on Saturday my lovely XXX
Today's card was mostly inspired by Wedgwood pottery, it's one of my favourites style and colour wise.
I used my new Wild Fern stamp and die set to create this card. I used Misty Moonlight card layered with white card, such a lovely combination. I die cut the fern border dies out of white card too, I like this sentiment and the way it is set out, meaning you can use it as part of the cards design, sometimes trying to decide where to put the sentiment can be frustrating.
The fern die cuts fit around a rectangle, you can also cut them apart so you can use the pieces individually.
Todays card uses categories:
Flowers/leaves/ stamping/ shades of one colour
I hope that you are all having a good week,
My thoughts are with those of you that are having a tough week x
Love & hugs to all of you,
Sandra xxxxxx

Hello, blue skies, but a bit chilly.
ReplyDeleteSorry I missed yesterday, so I thought I’d get in this morning before I forget.
Loved yesterday’s card, and todays ,you certainly seem to have found your mojo again, going to have a look on Pinterest when I come back from hospital for my chest X-ray. Hoping it will show that my chest is clear now, certainly feels better.
Brenda, hope you are recovering and being cared for, not if you are at home or still in hospital, get well wishes.
Janet hope you are recovering from your fall.
Not much else going on, have a good day all Lilian
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous card again Sandra. Love that dark blue colour a lot.
I know it was shown on Saturday but only you said something so felt a bit flat and it have continued through the week. Not feeling right at the moment, sorry.
Have a good day everyone . Hugs xxx
Beautiful card It really does have a Wedgewood look about it
ReplyDeleteWe went to roll-up this afternoon which was quite nice to be out in the fresh air Not been in the mood for crafting much today A young friend of ours dad died yesterday So I have made a Sympathy card and posted that today
Take care everyone xx
Hello Sandra and everyone,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Wedgwood style card, it just shouts class.
Lillian I’m pleased to say I’m home and taking life a day at a time. Managed to spend a little time in the garden today, fortunately we have several benches around the garden so I was able to sit down as I moved around and of course John is like my shadow - not letting me do anything strenuous.
Tomorrow I have an INR appointment then we are going to my hairdresser friend she is going to cut our hair and colour mine. At the moment I’m white in the front and darkish at the back so it will be nice to have the same colour all over. After that I think I’ll be ready to come home and have a nap!!
Take care everyone, love Brenda xxx
Hi Sandra and all looking in. Like Lilian I missed yesterday, thought I had been in early but your card is gorgeous, love the navy and Kraft together which are always a great combo. And today’s card is beautiful. Again you can’t go wrong with navy and white. In fact navy and any colour is a winner for me. Love that fern die. It’s s good size isn’t it whole or snipped into bits. Sorry your mojo is not good my lovely xx
ReplyDeleteBrenda, so glad you are getting out into the garden. Fresh air and seeing all of your beautiful plants must be doing you good. I hope your test goes well and you will be pleased to get your hair done. That’s always a boost isn’t it xx
Maria, sorry you are still struggling. I hope you feel a bit better tomorrow xx
Pop is still not too good at the moment. It could be after effects of antibiotics but going to talk to GP tomorrow. I’ve been busy with him and lots of jobs at home but we are out tomorrow with two of Chris’s brothers and wives/girlfriend for an early dinner then theatres to see Tony Blackbourne in his sounds of the 60s show. Sleep well everyone. Take care. Love Sue xx
