Mixed Up Saturday

(The quote from above)

Good Morning Ladies,

Welcome to the weekend ☺️, my favourite part of the week, mostly because I get to spend quality time with Paul. My idea of heaven ❤️
Other than food shopping and Garden jobs we have no plans, which is even better.
What are you all up to ?   Whatever it is I hope you have an enjoyable weekend 😘
We don't have rain forecast, just a mix of cloud and sun, I hope its the same for you all x

Diamond Z Fold Card

Start with a piece of card that measures:

4 1/2 X 11 inches  Score @  2 1/8  & 5 1/2 inch

Put your card back on your trimmer and mark the centre point of the 4 1/2 inch side so the mark will be at 2 1/8 inch

Now I use my trimmer for this and this is simplest method (to me).

Put the card in the trimmer so that the centre mark that you made is over the cut line, at the same time make sure that the first score line is also over the cut line see photo above.
When it is perfectly lined up make the cut.

Now turn the card around and do the same on the other side.

This is what you end up with.

Now time to burnish your score lines , the first one is the card centre fold.

The second fold is where your diamond focal piece will go. (Fold this one back)

You are now ready to decorate. ....

Cut your decorative papers to 1/8 smaller than your card base sizes, so:

5 3/8 X 4 1/8 inch for large piece

2 pieces @  3 1/4  X  4 1/8 inch  (for front and inside)

Now take 2 pieces of white card :

2 3/4 inch Square

Stamp your chosen focal piece for the front & inside

Now time to adhere your 'Diamond' Focal piece

I find it easier to add adhesive to the flap to ensure that glue only goes where you need it.

Now to place the inside stamped piece, I have a tip.....

Place the stamped piece exactly over the back of the front piece, you could hold it it place with paper clip or piece of low tack tape.  Add adhesive to the back of the piece and close the card.

This ensures that the inside piece is covered perfectly  covered by the front piece.

There you go,  quite a simple fun fold,  but quite effective, a nice way to show of some pretty papers or even some you have made yourself.

I hope that you all have a great Saturday,

Love & Hugs to all of you,

Sandra

  2. Hello all, cloudy with the odd shower. Quite chilly.

Another great card and tutorial, will try and have a go, but am watching the ladies tennis final in Paris. It’s a very one sided match.
Hope you are all having a nice Saturday, Lilian
