Offset Gatefold card

Good Morning Ladies,

How is it Thursday already?! This week has absolutely whizzed by!  Has it for you all too?  We had a sunny, breezy day yesterday,  perfect for getting washing dry.  It was good gardening weather too, Paul got quite a bit done after he finished work.

I had a fun craft session yesterday,   I sat and stamped my own background with some different fern/foliage stamps, I really enjoyed designing my own patterned paper,  I used Mint Macaron ink, so shades of just one colour.  I decided to make an 'Offset Gatefold' card,  this way I got to show off more of my paper.  I used a piece of white card 5 1/2 x 8 1/2  inches scored @ 1 1/4  & 5 1/2 inches.  This gives you your basic offset gatefold card base.  I layered that with Mint Macaron and my own patterned paper.  I stamped the same sentiment as yesterday and used the die cut ferns that I adhered to the embossed mint Macaron strip of card on the right hand (small) flap as the closure for my gatefold. I added a few sparkles tp finish the card.

I hope you all have a great Thursday,

Love & Hugs to all,

Sandra xxx

  3. Hi Sandra and all looking in. I love today’s card. Your own paper looks great, you wouldn’t know it wasn’t a bought piece. I also like the offset gate fold. Never made one but I like it, it’s gone onto the list to try. I hope you feel up to crafting today to try and take your mind off the phone call you had yesterday a little bit! Xx
Karen, sorry you are not feeling so good. Enjoy bowls later. The online prices are awful aren’t they. I usually use either Tesco or Aldi for flowers as they are sensible prices and seem to last the longest. I do like to make my own bouquet up too which you can’t do if you buy online xx
We are having afternoon and evening with some of Chris’s family so I have to iron a couple of bits we need before we go. That’s my day sorted. Have a good one everyone. Take care. Love Sue xx

  4. Hi everyone, cloudy and a chilly wind.

Great card today, love the leaves stamping. Never seen an offset gate fold before, very effective.
Was hoping to do some crafting today, but the day seems to have slipped away.

Cooking a piece of gammon for dinner in the ninja pressure cooker, always seem to turn out well , it’s rather a large piece didn’t realise when I ordered it. Still will be nice cold for sandwiches for lunch tomorrow.

Thought the tv showing of the commemorations of the D day landing was very touching, thought the Kings speech especially touching.

Have a good rest of the day, Lilian.

  5. Evening everyone
Love this card and love the style, just a nice touch with a different fold sometimes. Also love the fern stamped paper.
Program about the D day landing gave me goosebumps at times. We went to the Omaha beach many years ago, so many white crosses.
I hope everything went well today for you Brenda, take care xx
Karen, hopefully you will be better soon. Sending hugs and wishes for anyone not feeling too good that tomorrow is another day and that the mojo is back from wherever it has been 🤔🙂. Have a good night my friends. Hugs, Maria xx
