A different Fold

Good Friday Morning Ladies,

I hope today finds you as well as can be e expected,  gentle hugs to those of you feeling under the weather.

Karen I hope you are feeling a little brighter today my lovely XXX

Janet how are you getting on, are you getting out on your new scooter?  I do hope so, getting out of the house is so important,  I was totally housebound for 3 years and it made me very depressed and I developed huge anxiety about leaving the house too, sending you love and hugs. XXX

Brenda I'm glad to read that you are back home  therevis nothing nicer than the feel of your own bed.  I expect you aren't getting as much entertainment sat at home,  people watching is a great way to pass the day XXX

Today's card is a different fold, I'm not sure what the fold is called, you make the card base as usual, this time the longest side is along the top.  You place the card in your trimmer unfolded,  you the  line the card base up to the top of the trimmer and cut through the FRONT panel only, line the left hand edge up to 1 1/2 inches and cut up to the centre score line,  then turn the card over and cut at 1 1/2 inches too.  You should end up with three front flaps, the outside two narrower pieces and a larger centre panel.

Now we cone to the fun part...... the decorating!   I used some of my Masterfully Made designer series paper, mounted it onto slightly larger Berry Burst mat (both Berry Burst and Pretty Peacock ink and card.  Once you have the pretty papers mouted and adhered to those two narrow front flaps, you then add glue to the back of those flaps and stick them down to the base, leaving only the middle piece thT opens.  I embossed one white piece of card, mounted it onto Berry Burst mat and adhered it to the front of the card.  I added a little bit of stamping to the inside piece add that to a Berry Burst mat and adhered it inside the card.  To finish the card I die cut a leafy branch in Pretty Peacock card, both of these colours feature in the pretty paper.  I adhered the branch added a little sentiment and finished with a Berry Burst bow.

If you want me to do a step by step tutorial let me know.

I hope that you all have a great Friday,

Love & hugs to all,

Sandra xxx

Karen sorry to hear you’re not too good, and that your sister’s pace maker goes well. Feeling for you over your sad memories.

Going to have a go at a card or maybe a journal page if I can work with the tic tac toe.

Have a good day all, Lilian.

Hope the sun comes out for you Lilian. I’d just pegged my washing out and it clouded right over and looked like we were in for some rain, but fortunately it blew over and the sun came back out.
