Good Monday Morning Ladies,
I hope that you all enjoyed a gloriously sunny weekend, yesterday was a beautiful day, frustratingly we had to spend a good couple of hours food shopping as we hadn't done a big shop since the weekend before the wedding, last week we had a 'Hello Fresh' meal box, Paul just isn't keen on the whole Meal kit delivery thing, he thinks its too expensive, I totally disagree, I know that Matt & Alex have Hello Fresh all the time, Matt says it saves having to go shopping, nobody has the daily nightmare job of deciding 'what's for dinner?' I did a 5 meal plan for 4 if us, we had a good variety of things from pulled pork tacos to marinaded sea bass with Bulgar wheat that had chargrilled courgette and baby tomatoes stirred through it with a deliscious parsley, lemon & olive oil dressing, we all loved it and every meal we had, the thing I loved most however wasn't the food, it was Lucy wanting to cook every meal with me, she is very organised, so we have to follow the recipe cards to the letter, she is picking up some great cooking tips and skills along the way, it literally made cooking dinner a fun experience. All of that food cost under £40, which is so much cheaper than our shopping bill, although we did have a money off voucher first box and the next 4 boxes, which made a difference to the cost, I probably won't do them if it turns out more expensive. But between us we have a few email addresses so we can get maximum benefit from the special offers. Back to normal this week though 🙄
Yesterday afternoon I made quick card for today using the TicTacToe challenge grid I made last week.
I went diagonally across the centre:
Flower/ Foliage / Stamping /shades of one Colour
I used a new stamp set called Timeless Charm, it has some paint brush marks and some silhouette flowers and foliage. I used shades of Green, I was inspired by Amanda Fowler among nany others that created a similar style card.
The little sentiment is a stamp set I bought from Amazon for £4, it has about 20 sentiments, something for all occasions. I just live that handwritten style font.
I hope that you all have a great start to your week,
Love and hugs to all,
Sandra xxx
That is a lovely card Is that green background a stamp or did you just swipe an ink pad onto the card?
ReplyDeleteMy daughter uses Hello Cresh occasionally and if they really enjoy the meal replicates it It saves buying a loaf of spices etc that would then sit languishing in the cupboard OH is such a fussy eater Not worth our while
When daughter lived at home and started earning she did the food shop which meant working to a budget and cooking (with me) Stood her in great stead for owning her own home - that was her bed and board payment
Just finishing packing to leave Windsor and go home We’ve enjoyed it but ….
Take care everyone xx
Hi Sandra and all looking in today. What a gorgeous card. I love it. So simple but really effective, and a great sentiment for any occasion. I think I need to have a look at the sentiment set as the font is really lovely, and what a great price. Chris and Gem like Hello fresh boxes and use them when they have got deals on them. As I’m not allowed to cook any longer I don’t mind what they use as they are both great chefs 🤭
ReplyDeleteIt’s just me and Chris jnr here until late afternoon so he is deciding what we are going to do. Have a good day. Take care. Love Sue xx
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteA very pretty card today. I like the foliage and the sentiment. I had a look and it might be five sentiments that I wouldn't use but for that price it is in the basket 😊
You will have a fantastic crop later on, hoping the netting works and the weather right.
My OH took me for lunch today at a carvery not too far away, it's food was good but not the place so think we sticking to the one in Bedford.
Been trying to make a book fold card this afternoon. I'm on the right track 🤒🤭 it will be finished off tomorrow. Really thought it was going to rain here all day but nothing so far. It's a shame when we had such a gorgeous day yesterday, I need a few more of those.
Hope you all are alright or getting better soon from illnesses, falls and uti's, take care. Hugs to you all, Maria xx
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteLove your card today, the stamp set and sentiment are beautiful.
I keep meaning to look into Hello Fresh. I get so fed up of having the same things and the amount we spend on a food shop is ridiculous!
Hope you’ve all had a good day
Sending hugs to you all xxx
Hello Sandra and everyone, love today’s card, the sentiment compliments the dies and adding the little splash of toning colour behind the stamps is the perfect finishing touch. Thank you for your inspiration.
ReplyDeleteManaged to get out in the garden and greenhouse for a while today It was good to be out in the fresh air although it wasn’t long before my back started to ache and I had to call it a day.
Hope your day was good, take care and sleep well. Hugs Brenda xxx
