Good Morning Ladies,
Where has this week disappeared to? Paul has been putting in extra hours as has nobody to take over his job while he is away, he basically manages what in layman's terms in MOT's for the whole fleet of planes, they are very time critical, if their certificate expires then the aircraft is grounded, as you can imagine there has been a lot of extra flights this past week and will be for a while, the demands for the planes have to be met, so there is a lot of pressure on him to get everything done as quick as possible, he will schedule the 'test' then wait for the report, organise all necessary work to be done to make sure that the aircraft gets its 'Air Worthiness' certificate. He was planning on taking his work laptop with him as there is one plane scheduled in next week, they offered to pay him a call out fee to get the work done, but the laptop he was given does not meet the security requirements to take it out of the country so that not an option, so he is breaking his neck trying to get as prepared as he can. Thankfully a few of the Managers had said to him, just go on holiday and enjoy the break, you can't do this job 52 weeks a year, which is true and this is the first time he has taken leave since January so he is overdue a break. I want him to be able to relax.
Hopefully we should get the car packed today, so that we can leave when Paul get's in tomorrow afternoon. (fingers crossed).
Today's card is 'Spotlight' cards that we all made as part of a weekly challenge back in 2019 .I teamed this one with this gorgeous pink from SU which matches perfectly, I kept it simple with embellishments as I think the image is pretty enough without any further fuss. I used a punch for both the sentiment and the 'spotlight'.

Janet, so pleased to hear that Jim has his appointment through, we had to do the isolating thing for Paul's surgeries too, he went and had a Corona test and we isolated from then to operation day. He will be amazed at the difference. Paul does have to wear glasses for reading now though, I think that is a common thing with cataract surgery, he also finds that things get clearer if he moves them further away, your instinct is to move it closer. Such a pretty card I love that really delicate flowery topper
ReplyDeleteThe coaching was very good in my opinion Others thought it a waste of time I certainly didn’t and will hopefully put it into practice
We’re off to Waddesdon Manor today so I hope the weather stays dry I’m really looking forward to it - spend time with my sister in law and reminisce about the area where I was born
I’m still on the case MARIA!
Take care everyone You are never far from my thoughts You wonderful bunch of ladies
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card, I recognised the LOTV image straight away.
I can feel my mojo coming back so fingers crossed I can make a start on the cards I need to make.
Hope you get the car all packed and able to leave for your much needed holiday this afternoon. Wishing you and Paul a wonderful time and we’ll look forward to hearing all about it
Karen, glad you enjoyed the coaching. Have a lovely day at Waddesdon xx
Have a lovely day everyone whatever you’re doing. Sending hugs to you all xxx
Hi ladies
ReplyDeleteI really like the LLiiey of the valley pads. They make for a quick card.
Yes Doreen is fine Sandra.
Enjoy your bowls practice Karen. It’s not a difficult game to learn. But you do need to be aware of the bias, & width. I didn’t realise this where I bought my bowls and mine were a very wide bias. It made bowling indoors very interesting as I quite often use to use half of the next rink as well for a long Jack. But don’t stress & enjoy. I’m surprised Paul us the only one in the company who can do his job as they’d be really stuck if Paul had an accident of hurt himself that he wasn’t able to do it he work.
Enjoy your holiday Sandra.
Take care & stay safe everyone..
Hi very pretty little card today, have loved all of the recent cards.
ReplyDeleteGoing to have a browse of Pinterest to get some ideas for this weeks card, I am determined to get back to crafting, to take my mind off waiting for my biopsy results, which could be up to four weeks.
Hope you are all having a good day, it’s really grey here today, hugs to all Lilian
Hi everyone

Lilian, take care. Hope you not in too much pain after op. Gentle hug.
Great you are on the case Karen 😉 Hope you had a fabulous day at Waddesdon Manor.
We are away until Monday and the day couldn't have been better as after we got down and parked the car at the hotel we had a nice walk first and then sat outside in the sunshine at a restaurant with a pretty courtyard. The men are now watching football while I'm checking emails etc.
Hope your day been fine, have a good evening. Hugs to all Xxx
