Good Wednesday Morning Ladies,
Here we are at the middle of the week already! The weather here turned out really well yesterday, we had a lovely Sunny afternoon, I didn't really see much of it though as I am trying to get some cards made so that I can schedule some blogs ahead that I can just add a daily update to each day, that way there is less pressure on days when I am not feeling great. (thats the theory anyway). I was quite pleased with myself as I made 3 cards yesterday, as soon as Paul left for work I got myself into the craft room and got on with making cards, next thing I knew it was time for the girls to come home, the time just flew by.
Today's card I made on Monday while playing with some of my newer Stampin Up stamp and die sets, this die set is called 'Encircled' they are a pretty selection ornate circle dies, Stampin Up have made both an every day stamp set and a Festive stamp set too with some lovely sentiments, I hope they do more of this as you get much more value out of the die set. The paper line is called Peaceful Place, it's a lovely collection of shades of grey patterned papers that are foiled. I used the die set to create the aperture in the card and then used the same die to create a frame around it, I decided to add the silver foil to the frame, so I die cut a foil piece and pieced the fall out pieces back in, it was a labour above! I loved how it turned out, The inside matches perfectly, to finish the card I added some tiny sparkles around the card front. I hope that it inspires some of you too.
I want to send special hugs to those of you going through a tough time right now,
Love and hugs to everyone,
Sandra xxxxxx
Morning Ladies
ReplyDeleteSandra-lovely card, gray colours. Sounds like you had a busy craft session yesterday.
Yesterday was sunny here too, the evening was still nice so I pottered about in the garden then I came inside to read.

Beautiful card SANDRA I love the soft grey colour A very modern twist on a classic design
ReplyDeleteThe weather was lovely here OH spent the day going backwards and forwards to the dump to get rid of the old carpet and I took a very leisurely walk to the post office and treated myself to a coffee at the local bakers - it’s become my new treat
I managed to make a couple of aperture cards in the evening
Our new bed arrives today Whoop whoop!
Take care everyone Especially those going through a hard time xx
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card Sandra. Love the die cut and the pretty papers 😊
I made two cards yesterday morning, just need to add some finishing touches, but I had quite a good session too. It’s lovely when you can sit and craft with no distractions and really feel you’ve achieved something 😊
Have a good day. Sending love and hugs to you all xx

Hello Sandra and ladies,
ReplyDeleteLovely card Sandra, love the sentiment and the great backing paper - very classy.
It’s great when you can sit down and concentrate on a project without interruptions.
We still have the electrician here (no apprentice today, it’s his college day - albeit of line) so it’s difficult for me to settle down to do anything and when I do find OH is following me around. Sorry not complaining but I’m trying to make him a birthday card, it’s his birthday on Friday.
Nice sunny day here so might pop to M&S after lunch, just a few things I need to get, also need to get birthday present for SIL it’s also his birthday on Friday, our other SIL has his birthday on our wedding anniversary, so we can’t forget there birthdays.
Hope your day is going well, take care, Love Brenda xxx
