Some More Man cards

Good Wednesday Morning Ladies,

We hsd another lovely day here yesterday,  it looked like the Heavens were about to open a couple of times but we must have been on the edge as it didn’t rain! Ooh progress report..out of about 50 tomatoes 🍅 we have one that is starting to ripen, Paul said yesterday that they will probably all ripen while we are away and girls don't eat tomatoes!  They said that the Cauliflower on Sunday was the best they have ever had, maybe going from ground to plate in under an hour does make a difference. It's definitely 'A Good Life' around here!

Today I have shared a couple of Man cards from last year,  the Train card was made using an Indigo Blu Magazine Box kit.

The Fancy Fold nautical card was made using a mix of a Phil Martin Magazine kit and some stamps from a magazine that had some Crafters Companion Nautical stamps on too.

Cheryl it was lovely to read that you have had a couple of weeks away,  hopefully your poor foot is healing nicely.   It sounds like your Nephew's Funeral was  fun as these things can be, they certainly don't need to be all doom and gloom, it must have been an amazing sight seeing the sidecar  hearse and all of the motor bikes following, I'm so pleased that the restrictions were lifted in time for you to be able to be there, no rest up that foot my lovely.  xxx

Sonia How fast did those 10 days go, I was shocked when you said that you were going back to work, I hope it wasn't too stressful,  good to hear you have some annual leave coming up, have you got any plans? xxx

Janet, I hope that Jim is on the mend, how is his sight doing,  Paul didn't see the real benefit until both his eyes were done.  I hope the sun is shining for you today, sending hugs xxx

Maria,  its good to hear you got out and about even it was a ride out in the car, sometimes it's nice to get out of the house. Sorry to hear you felt rough at the weekend.  Hopefully we can organise something for October,  it has been far too long since we have seen each other xxx

Brenda you must have been exhausted doing both journeys on the weekend,  the M25 is such a frustrating motorway to sit on!  I also think that getting used to being in groups of people takes some getting used to too, I was so exhausted after Paul's parents Anniversary party and there were only around 18 of us, there are so many conversations to keep up with , I imagine the Grandchildren were all excited to have you atound too. You have also been living with upheaval which is tiring, take a few easy days my lovely xxx

Lilian its good to read that you are back in your craft room even if it was just to clear your desk, Crafting can be a great form of therapy,  just keeping our minds occupied can help,  I wish we all lived close enough to pop round to craft together ❤.  Especially on your baking days 😍.  Have you tried a heat pad for your back? Sending hugs xxx

Karen,  it must have been amazing to get back to dancing,  have you been Salsa'ing around the house to keep your hips limber ?!  I bet you will feel it when you get back into it, it must have been so much fun catching up with everyone XXX

Michele,  I hope work isn't too hectic and you are able to enjoy some 'me time' without stress Xxx

Pat, I hope the weather brightens so that you can resume your walks, I have seen forecasts of another heatwave,  not sure how true that is though xxx

Sue,  hopefully see you later xxx

Sending Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra                                                                                xxxxxx

  1. Morning Everyone
Lovely cards for inspiration for this week's Challenge.

Jim is slowly coming around after his week's stay in hospital with pneumonia. He still gets tired towards the end of the day but progress is being made. His six week appointment for his Xray check on his chest has been made.
It's four weeks since he had his first cateract removed and
so we're off to the Opticians this morning for this check and if all is well he will be given a date for the other one to be done. He cannot wait.

The CAFE is OPEN usual hours so pop in when you can.
HUGS are winging their way to you all.PLEASE TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFE.xxxx

  2. Great inspirational cards SANDRA I really need to look at fancy folds more instead of the bog standard classic fold
It’s lovely to see snippets of people’s wellbeing as I sometimes don’t have the energy to pop back and have a catchup
I wished I had Salsa-ed around the kitchen because my hips really didn’t like it! I had a few dances and it was lovely to watch others dance Everyone had huge smiles on their faces
We’re hoping to take OSCAR to the cinema later for the first time to watch Paw Patrol- still his favourite He might enjoy it or it’ll be too loud and we have to leave But we have to try these things
    Take care everyone xx

  3. Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. Both cards today are lovely. It is nice to see a couple of different folds, Wish I thought do do something other than the normal side fold. We were talking about tent folds being good especially if you are taking good quality photos. It’s good to hear your your very big tomatoes plants are beginning to ripen so that you can enjoy some before you go away. See you later my lovely xx
Karen, I hope Oscar enjoys the film. The cinema is full of lots of very different experiences isn’t it. We wondered if Chris jnr would cope at his first visit. He was completely silent for a large part of the film then looked round at me with the biggest smile on his face. Like Oscar he still doesn’t like loud noises though. I will be thinking of you all xx
Janet I hope Jim’s eye check goes well today and it’s nit long before he gets the second eye done xx
Brenda, I hope you give yourselves some serious relaxation now the electric work is finished and you have replaced everything xx
It’s looking lovely here today and I’m off to craft with you Sandra. What could be a better way to spend the day? Crafting with all of us together would be the icing on the top of the cake. Hopefully we can meet up soon. Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for all in need. Take care xx

Two great card for the men. Like doing different folds but I'm absolutely so useless at working them out so rarely do them 😐

Karen- hopefully Oscar will love going to the cinema and you too. Have a nice time.
Sue- have a fabulous time over at Sandra's today.Give mamma and Pop a hug from me when you see them next.

  5. Hi everyone
Great cards today, love the different folds.
I hope your tomatoes ripen and you can enjoy some before heading off on your holidays.
Sandra and Sue, enjoy your day- lots of crafting and chatting, sounds wonderful 😊
Janet, I hope Jim’s check up went well and it’s not too long before you get a date for his next op.
Karen, have a lovely time at the cinema, hope Oscar enjoys it.
Maria, glad you managed a walk around the lake. Fingers crossed this lovely weather continues.
I’ve not really got anything planned for next week. Booked it to break up the year - but wasn’t banking on having to self isolate! It’s James birthday at the end of the week, so we’ll have family over for that.
Have a good day everyone. Sending hugs to you all xxx

  6. Hello All, wet and cold here today, the red arrows were supposed to be flying near here today, but it’s poor visibility all day.

Sandra love both of those cards, nice to see different folds.

Janet hope Jim will soon be on the mend.

More blood tests today, and tomorrow have to have my hysterectomy, and they are going to do a biopsy as well.

    Hugs to all, Lilian

  7. Hello Sandra and ladies,

Lovely cards Sandra you are always so encouraging and inspiring. Thank you xx

LILLIAN thinking of you hope all goes well tomorrow. How long did they say you would be in hospital. Is it a total hysterectomy or partial? Either way you will have to take things easy for several weeks. Sending caring hugs and prayers. xx

JANET, I’m so sorry I didn’t realise Jim has been so poorly, i hope he will continue to improve now he is back home in your care. xx

Sue, Give Margaret s gentle hug from me. It must be so painful for you to see the changes this unforgiving illness has made to her life. The hardest I found with my Mum she was totally aware of everything that was happening. But we could hold a conversation, so in a way it was a blessing.

Take care everyone. Sleep well, Love Brenda xxx
