 Good Monday Morning Ladies,

I hope that today finds you all well and relaxed after the weekend,  ours was spent mostly in the car, my duties were mostly DJ because having the right music to drive to is vital, it's surprising how an uplifting,  rousing tune can revive you when you are flagging at the end of a long journey! The girls and I share a Spotify account so I had to do a fair bit of 'skipping ' I mean I love a show tune but they recently discovered a show (musical) called 'The Heights' now I'm not sure if it's because I haven’t seen the show but I just don't enjoy the music, apart from that we have similar tastes, the girls have grown up listening to our choice if music so they have learnt to enjoy it, they both have a very broad taste in music, they love Cher (oddly), I believe it was after watching the musical 'Burlesque ', Soph loves a bit of Country music too, their play lists span a good 40 years of music though.  So we had quite a variety to listen too. Thankfully the car audio is amazing! My other duty was to pass food,  sweets etc to Paul and nag him to drink his water!!

Now onto today's card, I have to say that I really enjoyed trying new techniques with embossing folders.  For this card I coloured a piece of Super Smooth Pink Frog card with Versafine Clair dye inks Verdant & Paradise (I think), I then used a 3D embossing folder and ran it through machine, after removing it from folder I lightly sanded the surface,  this left a perfect white outline to the Hexagons

I wish I had taken  'before' photo because the difference is incredible it makes the Hexagons even more 3D, I was blown away to be honest !!
Now I wanted to leave as much of this background on show as possible, so I added a simple sentiment,  the pattern shouted Bee's to me, so I found an old SU Bee die and cut white card with it, I then decided to go for ' Bee Happy ' as my sentiment.

Tomorrow I will show the card I made using the opposite side of this E folder, which looks quite different.
I hope you like the technique I shared, go and have a play, you'll love it !

I hope that you all have a lovely day,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra

  1. I saw this card in the making and the added sentiment is just perfect It’s a very clever and so so easy technique to do
It sounds like your journey is going really well It makes such a difference having a comfortable ride and great music
Bowling was OK apart from a terrific downpour at one point My skipper deflated me a bit during the first half but I was fine during the second half and won a couple of the ends It’s amazing how a little innocent remark can put you off But today’s another day
    Take care all xx

Great card and the embossing folder is fabulous. I love it 😊
Glad the journey is going well. Makes it all more a part of the holiday when you have lovely scenery, places to stop and good music to listen to along the way.
Karen, sorry to hear that. I hope whatever your skipper said hasn’t put you off going. You’re new to bowling and everyone has to start somewhere. Well done on winning a couple in the second half xx
Another grey start here, this weather really is miserable! I hope the sun is shining for the last part of your journey Sandra.
Have a good day everyone. Sending hugs to you all xxx

  5. Hello Sandra and ladies,

Love today’s card Sandra, you have added the perfect sentiment to enhance your lovely card.

Hope your day has gone well and you have arrived at your destination safe and sound. Paul must be ready to chill out for the next few weeks and looking forward to spending time just with you. xx

Not a lot happening here, morning housework the afternoon was spent pottering in the garden with the occasional sit down, time flies by when I’m outside I always find another thing that needs my attention.

Hope you have all had a good day. Sleep well.xxx
