Good Morning Ladies,
It hardly seems possible that we are leaving the day after tomorrow, the week has just flown. Lucy took me out yesterday afternoon to try and find some more Shorts and t shirts as mine are all a bit too big, it was a big old waste of time, everywhere has their Autumn/Winter clothes in now, we tried about 5 different places including M&S and Next, M&S had a sale on but it was like a jumble sale and although I was desperate to find something I wasn't that desperate that I was prepared to go elbows deep with a crowd of savage bargain hunters! So I am going to try and find a narrow belt that might hold up some of my shorts! I can live with a baggy t shirt!
Today's card was made using the flowers that I shaped in the Heartfelt Creations Flower shaping Mold. I had used an offcut of Berry Burst card to see if the tool would work with different weights of card, non of the flowers that I have used for this card are a selection of random punches and dies, as I was also wanting to see if the Mold only worked with the dies that came with it, as you can see if works with any flower die cut or punch, The large flower is the Stampin Up Petal Punch, the smaller ones are a combination of the Stampin Up Petite Petal Punch and Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers Thinlits.
The card it self is made using Stampin Up Berry Burst card and Matching Designer series paper, that I embossed and then layered up. I used a Joanna Sheen Lace die and the other side of the DSP for the lace die cut, then I added a Leafy Swirl, die cut in Old Olive, the leaves are die cut from the same colour paper, I coated most things with Wink of Stella Glitter, which gives the leaves a realistic looking sheen, I arranged the flowers with the leaves and some little pink stamens. To finish the card I stamped the Happy Birthday from Teeny Tiny Sentiments, I used the matching punch to cut the sentiment and added it to the card.
I am quite happy with how it turned out, I hope you like it too!

Morning Everyone
ReplyDeleteWhat a striking card SANDRA. Those colours really pop.
My eye test went well other than I came out of the shop a good deal lighter in my pocket. I am having the new glasses delivered direct to home and they should arrive in around two weeks.
We had a phone call yesterday morning for Jim giving him his date for his next Cateract removal. 31st Aug. is the date so we are in Isolation from Saturday for 10days. I have to say he had a big smile on his face.
I have to get some cards finished and into the post;do my Tesco order today and so on. Jobs which we had planned for next week.
The CAFE is OPEN as usual.HUGS are winging their way to you all.PLEASE TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFE.xxxx

ReplyDeleteFor a belt I have used soft cord (like pyjama cord) and wide grosgrain ribbon or could one of the girls lend you one I’ve even used one of OH’s in the past Spanish markets used to do fabulous cheap leather belts Enjoy your belt hunting! You must feel very proud of yourself to lose weight

Hello Sandra and ladies,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card Sandra I love the colours you have used and how you’ve given the flowers the beautiful gloss, it’s lovely not too much just right..
Janet great news Jim has got an appointment to have his other eye done, I’m sure this is going to be a relief for both of you.
Sandra Hope the packing is going well, Shame about being able to get any new shorts, and baggy T-shirts are great for holidays so who is going to notice ha ha. I hate looking around M&S sale, come to that any clothes sales. They Remind me of when as a child my mother was in the mothers union and they had jumble sales, it was like a free for all.
Lynda lovely to see you xx
Have a lovely evening everyone. XXX

Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. A beautiful card for us to enjoy. I love the Dsp, it is so pretty. It’s also good to know that the HC flower shaping mould works on most die cuts not just the ones that it is made for. What a great reason to have to buy new shirts and T-shirt’s but such a nuisance that you couldn’t find any. I hope you’re not too busy trying to get everything ready my lovely xx
ReplyDeleteI’ve slept the afternoon away after having two fillings this morning so need to do a couple of jobs done this evening as we have the girls tomorrow fir the day 🥰🥰🥰
Sending love snd hugs to you all with extras for all in need. Take care xx
