Your Cards for Janet's Rose Challenge

Good Sunday Morning Ladies,

I hope that you are all having a relaxed weekend.

I cannot believe how many beautiful cards that you have all made.  I am so grateful that you chose this weeks challenge Janet, I can tell you that Everyone has thoroughly enjoyed making cards for it.

Lets take a look........

Sandra

Today's card is one using the Beautiful Brushstrokes dies that Brenda, Lynda & Lilian recently bought from Stampin up!  I saw this card on Pinterest it was designed by a chap called Martin's Mayhem.  I totally loved the card and wanted to recreate it.
I made a card base using Night of Navy card, then used a slightly smaller matt of Night of Navy to create the topper of the card,  I used the smallest rose stamp to randomly stamp Night of Navy ink over the base piece (Martyn just inked around his) I prefer to see a pattern, I then used a Posca pen to add some white splatters, the next step was to die cut all layers of the flowers and adhered them together,  I arranged them around the card base, leaving some overhanging,  which i then trimmed flush to the topper edge.  The colours I used are Flirty Flamingo, Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzaz for the leaves.  I finished with a Happy Birthday sentiment,  no extra embellishments necessary in my  opinion, I added the topper section onto the card using foam pads for dimension.

Michele

Michele's Description:

My Rose themed challenge cards . Large square card is simply 4 toppers (magazine freebies) on deep pink card then on a 6x6 blank. Second card is 2 white diecuts on grey card & a pre-printed sentiment. Third card is a creative expression die on a pixie powder background. Last 2 photos are a Twist + Pop card, Ella’s Design download. I loved this challenge as it made me look at some of my stash that I’d never used before!!!

Oh Michele thank you so much for 4 absolutely stunning Challenge cards, your first set of cards are so beautiful 😍,  your Pixie powder backgrounds are just amazing Michele and I can't believe you even made a Twist &Pop using beautiful Ella's Design papers. I am so grateful that you enjoyed Janet's Challenge and made so many cards to support it XXX

Karen

Karen's Description :
"How’s this One sheet of the Stamperia Romantic collection
I cut out the rose and stuck it onto the reverse of the piece of cardstock using foam pads I fussy cut the tags too stuck using foam pads I inked around the edges of the rose and cardstock with Tattered Rose DO
Plus a few pink pearls.

Card 2:
I have used a piece of Serif paper A Phill Martin sentiment embossed in gold An Altenew rose die

Card 3:
Here’s my last cc
I found a piece off PP card and had actually written the colours on the back Midnight Blue Peacock Green and Aqua Lagoon
SW Wild Rose Edger die and one of her sentiments I created a frame and backed it with acetate I foam mounted it on card base So sentiment looks like it’s floating slightly.

Three beautiful cards Karen, I love the Stamperia papers that you have used for your first two cards. Your third card is amazing, I love the Pixie Powder colours, using the acetate was a clever idea, the sentiment really does look like its floating.   Thank you so much for supporting Janet's Rose Challenge  XXX

That trio of delicate roses are so pretty    Thank you so much Cheryl for supporting Janet's  challenge XXX

Brenda

Brenda's Description:

Card 1 - I used the Rose stamps from SU Brushed Blooms set to make the background. The Butterflies were left over from the challenge we had a few weeks ago, I rejected them at the time, but being a crafter couldn’t throw them away!

Card 2 - was inspired by a rose bush we had for our diamond anniversary  (The rose is named diamond wedding)  produced its first flower, I used a John next door embossing folder to create the frame and added a pale pink behind that to enhance the colour of the rose.

Two beautiful challenge cards from Brenda for Janet's Rose Challenge.   I love the beautiful colourful butterflies on Brenda's first card.  The second card is beautiful in its simplicity,  that beautiful rose was the inspiration for the card, such a brilliant idea.  Thank you so much Brenda for two amazing cards XXX

Thank you Janet for a brilliant challenge.

I hope that you all enjoy the rest of the weekend,

Love & Hugs,

  2. Morning Ladies

What a fantastic selection of challenge cards today. Janet-thank you for suggesting this challenge. Initially I was thinking I’d struggle with it si I decided to go looking through boxes of stash I don’t often use. Anyway-I loves it as it really challenged me!

I have quite a bit to do today-finish wrapping everything for my Dad’s birthday. We’re off out for lunch to celebrate his birthday-he’ll be 80 next week. I have all the housework to do, plus a mountain of ironing and I need to collect some material samples as our dining chairs need reupholstering.
