Good Sunday Morning Ladies,
I hope that you are all enjoying the weekend, currently I am writing this blog post while having a 'Siesta', I haven't been getting much sleep with my heart reacting so badly to the pain level of my hip. I got a letter from the Breast Clinic this morning, panicked at first because it had only been 4 days and she told me it would be three weeks, so I sat on the bed, took a deep breath and opened it, all the while telling myself something must be wrong to hear so soon, but luckily it was all clear, thank heavens. That's lt for another 3 years, I kind of wish they were yearly just to be on the safe side. It says something about 'unless you are 71' does that mean you don't have them anymore at that age?!
So let's look at your amazing Challenge cards, we have some Gorgeous cards this week....
Sonia
Sonia's Description:
Card 1:
I’ve used Antique Linen, Tattered Rose and Spun Sugar distress inks. New ‘Bloomin Cute’ flower die and sentiment from the Stamp Market.
Card 2:
I’ve used Tumbled Glass and Spun Sugar on a Tim Holtz stencil along with the Butterfly. The sentiment is from Pink Fresh Studio.
Card 3:
After watching a YouTube video I finally made an alcohol ink piece I was happy with. I’ve used Wild Plum and Rose Gold mixative inks by Ranger. The sentiment is from the Stamp Market. Thought I’d send the second photo (although blurry) to show the shimmer from the rose gold - the photos really don’t do it justice.
Oh Sonia your cards are stunning as alwaya, I see you have used some of your new craft goodies for your Challenge cards and they work brilliantly.
Your blended background on the first card is exquisite, the colours are so delicate and your blend is seamless, I love that single flower die cut too. Your second card is perfect, I love the mask you have used.
Your first play with Alcohol inks is just incredible I love that colour combination, the second picture shows the shimmer from the rose gold mixative a little better. Thank you so much for three gorgeous cards XXX

Morning Ladies
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic selection of challenge cards today. Not sure if Sandra has missed adding some photos as I’m sure Cheryl will have sent some for her challenge idea.
Janet-we finally got some rain yesterday and last night just not the thunderstorms they predicted.
Michele
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteA fantastic selection of beautiful cards today 😊 I love all the different colour combos - Karen, your Tracey Evans card uses one of my favourite combos 😊
Fantastic news of your results Sandra, a relief for you. If I remember rightly, they don’t generally call you for a test after the age of 70/71. My mum had her appointment for one, saying she had better go (was thinking of not going) as it would be the last one and they actually found cancer cells in situ 😔 She was so glad she went for that appointment. They were able to treat it before anything developed. Goes to show how important these tests are. I’ve never had one myself (strange really, considering my mum) but the pain and discomfort I hear they cause, definitely sounds worth it.
Wet and windy here today, I’m hoping we’re going to get some more summer soon.
Have a lovely day everyone. Sending hugs to you all xxx
Hi ladies
ReplyDeleteSome lovely cards one display today. Great reviews yesterday as well Michele. No rain yesterday although the weather forecast for Witney was rain all day. Mind you it’s the same for today as well. Good job it didn’t as Amber & Sophie went to Blenheim to a dog show. As did Amy & Matty. I expect they met up at some point. Karen was on goat sitting duties all day. I’m going to pop out for a walk just in case it does decide to rain.
Take care & stay safe everyone.
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteLovely cards on display ladies, well done.
Tried making something with my alcohol inks but no luck. Love your card Sonia, it's lush.
Very important to have the mammogram, good yours came back clear Sandra. My mum had breast cancer after she turned 70. I think it should be done earlier and a bit later everywhere.
Waiting for the storm, have a splitting headache so it would be good to clear the air but so far only some small showers. Whatever you do today ,have a nice day and hugs are sent for you all xxx
Good evening Sandra and ladies

Hope you get some good sleep later 😴
My hands are still giving me lot of pain so I must say good night
Love Lynda xxx
Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. A fabulous lot of cards. All of the backgrounds are wonderful as are the finished cards.
ReplyDeleteIt’s good to hear your mammogram is clear but I do know just how you felt getting your mammogram results so early as I had mine in five days, all clear for me too. It is great that they are so prompt at checking the mammogram and getting the replies out but maybe they could say that the results can be anything from a few days to three weeks to stop the panic we naturally feel at such an early reply xx
Michele. I forgot to say thank you for the great review yesterday. They are always so helpful xx
Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for all in need. Take care xx
Hello, rain again today, much cooler.
ReplyDeleteReally great cards everyone, love all the different backgrounds.
Sandra great that you had your results so quick, I haven’t had one for a few years, too old and also the loop recorder is in the top of my left breast.
Hope you are all ok, I’m determined to get this weeks card done earlier this week, no excuses as I have loads of rose stamps, plus lots of pretty papers.
See you all tomorrow, Lilian
