My Red & White Christmas challenge card

Good Morning Ladies,

Here we are at Monday once again, those weekends really do fly.  This weekend absolutely flew by, we didn't do much either day really, a bit of shopping on Saturday and yesterday we went looking at cars. Ours has served us very well, sadly they don't make them anymore, so we are looking at alternatives,  there really isn't anything as big as ours,  my wheelchair takes up so much of the boot, in our current car the seats are easily removed giving us huge boot space.  We have a couple on the 'potential' list, our old girl goes in for her MOT today!  The mechanic that runs our local garage is great so Paul is going to ask his opinion this morning.

Today's card is one I made last night while they all watched the football ⚽️,  Ooh the tension in the air!!!!

I used a White glitter card and Cherry Cobbler Red card to create the card, I used SU Large Letter Dies and Snowfall Thinlets to create the main focus of the card, I basically used the Snowflake as the 'O' of Joy.  I cut each letter and Snowflake twice to make the elements stand out more.  The background was created by randomly stamping Snowflakes in Versamark ink and then adding clear embossing powder, it shines beautifully in the light.  Now I wasn't going to add the ribbon but the Y was much wider than the 'J' so it looked unbalanced, so I added the ribbon with a tiny snowflake to even everything up. The final embellishment is some tiny diamanté stones.  I hope you like it.

I hope that you all have an enjoyable Monday,

Love and Hugs to all of you,

Sandra                                                                                xxxxxx

  1. Your card is so pretty I love the white on red background It makes a refreshing change from having a white background
I am struggling with this one mainly because I don’t really have a stash of red card!

  2. Hi everyone
A beautiful Christmas card, I love it 😍
Very tense watching the game last night. A shame they lost, but they did so well. I’m sickened though by waking up to the news that the three men who missed the penalties have had a torrent of abuse thrown at them! Disgusting behaviour by a minority who call themselves ‘fans’
Off work today, so hoping to make a start on this weeks card.
Have a good day everyone. Sending hugs to you all xxx

  3. Hi everyone.
    Love the card Sandra.
Karen, don't worry if you haven't got any red card just use what you got and it's x-mas. Myself going to use some old wrapping paper for example.
Sadly England lost. The manager should never have put the young one out for the penalties. Not right of the 'fans' to be so horrid.
Walked up to the chemist to pick up meds. this morning. Got the wrong ones so have to go back again later this week. Our first walk for some time so it feels and it was pretty muggy but got to do something for just getting bigger again, blaaa. Didn't help being to SIL's yesterday and she had put on a huge lunch. :>)
Hope you all have a good day as possible and manage to do some crafting in some way. Many hugs Maria xx

  4. Hello All, cloudy but it looks as though the sun is coming out.

Sandra love your card, have to find my Christmas stuff , I put away tidy( big mistake)
I don’t have much red so might have to stretch the rules just a bit.

Call from GP this morning , I have a urinary infection, although the dip test did not show it, the new Dr seems to be very “on the ball” which is not the norm at my surgery. Hospital to have a chest X-ray this afternoon, thought I would have to wait ages, only saw Dr last Thursday.

Thought England played well, shame about the result, terrible those young men getting that terrible abuse.

Sandra do hope you get your meds sorted , and the pharmacist is more helpful.

Have a lovely afternoon all, Lilian

Then she got a new boy friend and it went quiet for bit. She had twin girls theyafe 7 now But Alfie suffered a lot with with any waythats the way it is

  5. Hello Sandra and ladies,

Lovely Christmas card Sandra the Versamark and clear embossing powder really lifts the design, thank you.

The weather is funny here we started off with a damp morning then had a few bright hours but this afternoon we have had thunder with a few short showers. As I couldn’t go back to my gardening I sat down to read and fell asleep!, Nothing new there!

I hope your car got through its MOT today, good luck finding a replacement.

Take care everyone, love Brenda xxx
