A Fun Cow Card for a Lovely Friend

Good Morning Ladies,

I hope that you are all managing in this extreme heat, first time I have heard of the UK having Amber warning for High Temperatures, we didn't get any thunder ⚡ or rain ☔ that some of you did and at 8pm last night it was still 29 degrees.  We did have a better night on Monday night though, I think it was down to being so exhausted from no sleep previous nights.  Sophie sat out for about an hour earlier with sun cream and got burnt legs, bless her. So she is slathered in cooling aftersun.

We have a busy day today, Lucy has a hospital appointment this afternoon and then we are going to collect our new car, all being well, Sophie is doing all the driving today bless her as Lucy is still not driving because of her thumb!  She is using a sling on the advice from the Fracture Clinic as she still has swelling, she is icing it too.  Lets hope this fixes it.

Today's card is an oldie, I made this card for our Pat a few years ago, the image reminded me of Me, Pat & Sue, Pat is definitely the one with earrings. The stamp is a wooden block stamp that I have had for years, the paper in the background is Anne Marie Dotty card, the foliage is a Impression Obsession die, the border is a punch with a piece of lace on top that has green gingham ribbon woven through, I added the little roses to make it extra special. I can't remember what I coloured the image with. The card still makes me smile today.

I hope that you all keep cool and have an enjoyable day,

Lilian I hope that you are feeling better today XXX

Sending Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra                                                                                                                                                          xxxxxx

  1. Love the card and it made me smile Are you the one in the yellow hat!
The rain we had definitely cooled things down overnight I woke up about 4am (not unusual) feeling quite cold It looks like it’s going to be a scorcher today
I hope Sophie and Paul collect the car OK and that Lucy gets in OK at the hospital
I didn’t do as much crafting as I’d hoped My craft room is upstairs and boy it was so hot in there So I sat in the garden in the shade and crocheted
Back in the office again today as the big “switch on” didn’t occur It was pretty empty and it was hard recognising people with their new hairstyles new glasses and face masks
    Take care everyone xx

  2. Hi everyone
A great card today, love the image 😊
We didn’t get any rain yesterday, and it remained hot well into the evening.
Not sure what I’ll be doing today, maybe some more crafting or watching a bit of Netflix!
Have a lovely day everyone. Sending hugs to you all xxx

  3. Morning Ladies

Lovely card today Sandra-I immediately thought of you 3 when you used to meet up to craft BC (before Covid).

Yesterday was unbelievably hot & humid although we did get a breeze later in the day. This morning we have a sea mist which I’m hoping clears vey soon as ones to get some washing outside & dry befor the workmen come back yet again! Hopefully he’ll finish today-the lad is on his own now and I think they underestimated just how much work they’re was still to do,. It’ll be nice when the garden is our again rather than full of plastic trim etc.

A lovely card today. Yes the last one on the right is definitely me. I loved it as soon as I received it.
Hope Lucy’s appointment goes ok today Sandra.
Another hot day today so I’m not doing much again. Seems to be the norm in this hot weather. I hope your day back at work went ok Karen. Noticed that Lynda will be having a knee op, hopefully soon.

  6. Hello Sandra ladies,
Great card Sandra it really did make me smile I’m sure you girls all had a good laugh over this one. Thank you again for the inspiration

Hope Paul gets the new car alright, great you have Sophie there to be chauffeur, Definitely payback time, 😘 I’m sure she is more than happy to do it after all the years he chauffeured them around. Sorry to hear poor Lucy is still suffering, hope she gets on alright at the fracture clinic, life must be so frustrating for her right now. Sending gentle hugs for you all xx

LILLIAN I really hope you’re feeling better, it must be awful for you laid up in this sweltering heat. Take care, Hope you’ll be able to pop in soon - we miss you xx

Sorry I didn’t get in yesterday, My day just spiralled out of control, I ended up just totally losing track of everything. Ha ha. Although I did go out for lunch with four friends which was very nice.
Loved yesterday‘s card Sandra, you are brilliant with your inspiration. Thank you so much xx

Time to think about dinner but truthfully do you not fancy anything I might just suggest having a salad with some baby potatoes. Just don’t fancy food in this hot weather.

Take care everyone and stay safe. XXX
