Prized Peony

Good Morning Ladies,

Another week that seems to be whizzing by, can you believe that we actually would be leaving for our holiday 3 weeks tomorrow,  we still aren't sure what's happening though.

I have a lovely weekend to look forward to though as I have  very special guests coming to stay.......  It's Danielle & Simon's wedding anniversary on Saturday and he offered to take her anywhere for a little weekend retreat, she said that she didn't really feel comfortable staying in a hotel so asked if she could come here from Friday to Sunday, we obviously said yes, I am so looking forward to seeing her again.

Talking of special guests Sue came over yesterday,  we haven't seen each other for so long, we had a lot of catching to do, I think we will both be a little hoarse today after talking so much. It was lovely to sit and craft with someone, makes it so much more enjoyable.

Today's card is my version of one that features in the latest Creative Stamping Magazine,  I used a SU stamp set called Prized Peony and stamped one of the smaller flower heads using Rich Razzleberry ink, I die cut with a circle die, then die cut a piece Rich Razzleberry card. I then took the stamped piece and cut it into 4 pieces, I added foam pads to the back and pieced the image back together onto the coloured card, leaving gaps between each piece.  I adhered the piece onto a little 4 x 4 inch white card base. I added the sentiment which I die cut in gold, to finish the card.

That completes my week of Circle cards, I have to say that I really enjoyed this challenge.

I hope that you all have a good day,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra                                                                                xxxxxx

Sandra-stunning card today. I understand your dilemma as FRANCE is on the Amber list but they can’t seem to decide is your have to self
Quarantine which would make your holiday difficult I guess.

Lovely that you saw (& crafted) with Sue yesterday. It’s nice that Danielle is well enough to travel all that distance to see you. I’m not sure I’d be comfortable with people staying in my house though as there’s still so much risk but everyone is different.

  2. Morning Everyone
What a fantastic card SANDRA. I love the idea of cutting the image into pieces.

Well didn't we have rain rain rain rain yesterday. It was very heavy and brought high winds too.
The wild rose which runs along the side fence and up into the cherry tree in the back garden has really taken a 'bashing' which also means that the garden path is now covered in wet rose petals.

I have fair list of jobs to do today and at the moment I'm not sure which will be tackled first.

The CAFE is of course always OPEN for all.
HUGS are on their way to you all.PLEASE TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFE.xxxx

  3. Hi everyone
Gorgeous card today, I love it and the Rich Razzleberry is a beautiful colour 😊
Happy to hear Sue came round, I bet you had a wonderful time craft and catching up. Lovely to hear that Danielle is coming for the weekend too.
A lot of rain, and some thunder and lightning here too yesterday. Has also been quite breezy. Dry and bright here at the moment, but chilly enough for me to wear a jacket on my walk with Barney.
I hope you all have a good day whatever you’re doing. Sending hugs to you all xxx

  5. Morning ladies
Oh I love this card Sandra. Like a art work I could see me having on the bedroom wall.
Nice that Sue came over to see you and that Danielle and her husband coming for a visit.
Went to Frost yesterday morning and got a few flowers for some pots that had the plants eaten. Last night we had the most amazing rainbow I ever seen before after a lot of rain.
This morning we got a bit of a chilly wind. Up early, Son's girlfriend is going home so they have already gone to Luton. She ended staying with us for 2 months and so we will miss her, she is lovely and so hoping their dreams come true.
Catching the bus to town soon, have an appointment 10am and then I go for a haircut for its getting a bit crazy again.
Have a nice day everyone. Big hug, Maria xx

  6. Hi Ladies
Lovely card today Sandra. I’m glad you enjoyed Sue’s company yesterday but I wouldn’t be comfortable going into someone else’s house that I’m not in a bubble with . I was surprised to hear that Danielle was coming down to stay as I assumed that she’d be too ill to travel so far. I’m assuming that someone else is looking after the children for them.
My holiday as I think I said has been postponed until Sept next year which although I’m disappointed it was the sensibly thing to do, as Covid is still rife all over the world. Pretty high here as well.
We also had some pretty fierce showers and a slight rumble of thunder & lightening in the evening.
Take care & stay safe everyone.

  7. Meant to say we had a nice lunch yesterday all socially distanced still in the garden. The men didn’t come either so it was just the 3 of us.

  8. Hello All, showery and cold here today.

Really classy card today, could be used for so many occasions.
Must see if I can get one done for this week, I’m afraid my mojo seems to be hiding.
I search through Pinterest, and never do anything.

Not good news at Drs yesterday, have go to see the gynaecologist again, hoping they can find the reason for my lower back pain. Also have to have a blood test to check for ovarian cancer, did not know about this test.

Hope you all have a good evening, Lilian

  9. Hello Sandra and ladies,
What a great CAS circle card Sandra, cutting the centre circle section is a brilliant idea, I’ve never thought to do it with a circle, but have cut into a square and backed each section with a plain colour they end up looking like rectangles Thank you yet again for your amazing inspiration.

I’m sure both you and Sue had a great time yesterday, bet you put the world to right and had lots of giggles as well, just the tonic you both need.

We had the electrician here today. there was no Internet as the power has been off most of the day, he’s tested every plug and socket in the house, we need a few jobs doing. Tomorrow he will actually start putting the cables in for the new cooker. But I get the feeling it’s going to be with us for awhile. Still he is local and can come and go as he pleases.

Have a good evening everyone, take care, Love Brenda xxx

  11. Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today.
I am delighted that I can finally after such a long time say that I saw this gorgeous card “in the flesh” yesterday. The stamp is beautiful and I live the colours you have used. A technique that I hope to remember to try. It was so so good to be able to see you my lovely. Sorry that Danielle and Simon can’t make it now. Tell Danielle I am thinking of her next time you talk please. I hope you and Paul can do something nice at the weekend xx
Lilian, everything is crossed that all test results come back with good results. I certainly won’t say don’t worry as we all do until we know the answers but I am thinking if you xx
Karen, you have been in my thoughts dear friend. Such a extra hard time of year for you. How nice to have new carpets. I love the smell, so fresh and new xx
Maria, it’s sad that C’s girlfriend has gone home but lovely that you got in so well together. Fingers crossed they continue to be together xx
Lynda, wow that was a bit of a marathon for you both today wasn’t it! I hope you got the answer about the scab on your nose xx
We have all of the grands her tomorrow so a manic but fun day for us all. Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for all in need. Take care xx
