Playing with circles

Good Monday Morning Ladies,

I hope that you are all well rested and ready for the week ahead, how was your weekend?  We really didn't see very much of the forecast rain and there wasn't so much as a rumble of thunder!   I hope that you all remained dry and didn't have too much rain.  We are growing our tomatoes outside our back door,  it's a real sun trap and the plants are all huge, the best we have ever had, we just need them to ripen up now, we are feeding them but they are all still green, we have quite a few varieties from cherry to plum tomatoes to some large spanish variety, a yellow variety too, I will add sone photos if they ever ripen!

I would love to see some photos of your gardens too.

Today's card was a result of a bit of playing about with a pile of circles, I saw some similar ideas on Pinterest so decided to have a play,  I simply die cut 3 white and 3 black circles, the white ones had a stitched edge and arranged them in an 'off set' pattern, I adhered them together once I had them in place,  I then added a white border upon which I added my sentiment.   See I told you it was easy. Its a bit bold and basic but will make a great Man card.

I have a few more ideas that I want to have a go at today, so watch this space.

I hope you all have a lovely day,

Love and hugs to all,

Sandra                                                                                  xxxxxx

  1. Morning Ladies

Sandra-I love this style car & it’s one on my list to make. So stunning when you think it’s just circles cut in half.

It was a shock getting up to the alarm this morning, can’t believe I’ve had a week off work already. We’re being Audited this week whitis always a stressful event but the added issues this year are the new boss hasn’t started yet and we only had a “virtual “ Audit last year. They’re visiting us on Tuesday then it’s a virtual one all day Thursday.
Thank goodness it’s a bit cooler.

  2. Great card Such a simple technique but it’s so effective
We have had a ton of rain! The garden really looks lush now I will try and take a photo of my first ever attempt at growing flowers and of course I’m on annual leave!
We are looking after Oscar today I am so looking forward to it We’re going to my sister in law’s for lunch I know she’ll be just as excited
    Take care all x

  3. Hi everyone
A lovely card today, and as you say, great for a man. I love the simplicity of it 😊
Just watched Tom Daley and Matty Lee win gold in the diving 🥇So happy for them, bought tears to my eyes when I saw their reaction when they realised they’d won. The Chinese were a very close second.
Not got anything other than a pot of lavender in our garden, as I’ve still not ventured out to a garden centre yet. At this rate I’ll be looking for winter flowering plants!
Have a good day everyone. Sending hugs to you all xxx

  5. Hello Sandra and ladies,
Sandra I had a big smile on my face when I opened the block this morning, I have had for at least a couple of months circles cut out (and I cut in half) after seeing a card similar to this on Pinterest, mine is navy and white, when Lynda gave us the circle challenge last week - I thought oh goody goody I will put my circles to good use ha ha. It’s yet another one of my projects half done (PHDs).

Hope you are all feeling well and ready to tackle a new week, hopefully the rain will stay away and the temperature will be much more comfortable.

Take care and stay safe, Hugs Brenda xxx

  6. Hello All, no rain yet, hopefully will have a shower tonight.

Sandra, great card today, could see it done with pastel colours as well

Finished my ironing today what a struggle, so hot. So hoping I will feel up to doing a card tomorrow.

Nothing much else happening here, lacking too much energy. Hugs to all. Lilian

  7. Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. I love today’s card and how the curves flow. It’s a great clean and simple one that is ideal for anyone and for most occasions too. Pinterest is so hood at helping us get ideas isn’t it. I remember what a sun trap your patio is, perfect for tomatoes. I hope they start to ripen up soon as a freshly picked still sun warmed tomato is hard to beat isn’t it 😋xx
Karen, I’m sure you have had a lovely time with Oscar, bet you’re fit to drop now though, but so worth it 🥰. It would be good to see some photos of your “new” garden and plants please xx
Sonia, I have a fushia in the back garden at the moment and a flowering hanging basket at the front of the house, one marked up at full price of £12 and the other £15. There was a half price sale on all plants but we were only charged £3 for each one so got a great bargain. I assume it’s because they haven’t sold as much as usual this year. How did you get on with the dog expert? I hope they helped you with Barney xx
Maria, I hope you are enjoying being able to go back to IKEA. It’s probably a good idea that we don’t live too close to one or I would end up looking like their pork meatballs 🤣🤣xx
Michele, I hope work wasn’t too bad today and that the audit goes as well as possible xx
It is lovely here today. Sunny but not too hot. The rest of the week is a lot cooler and wet most days, if the forecast is correct of course.
Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for all in need. Take care xx

    1. Wow Sue, what a bargain your plants were. I love fuschias 😊
Barney is doing quite well with his walks - the trainer gave us lots of tips. He still pulls sometimes, but I now feel I’m in more control and he doesn’t end up taking me for a walk 😂 xx
