Mixed Craft Saturday featuring Michele's Magazine Review

Good Morning Ladies,

I hope that you are all enjoying the weekend, today feels like the 'Calm before the storm'!  In our house anyway, I will be cooking a Turkey etc today to take over to Mums tomorrow for lunch, I have to buy and wrap a couple more presents for family today too, along with still trying to organise the gifts for our family.  I am trying to not 'overdo' things too because I want my body to get over this UTI as quickly as possible, the big thing to remember will be to drink plenty on the journey to and from Colchester!
We are all looking forward to Christmas Dinner number 1 and spending the day with family xx

The first photo (above) is of the lovely box that I received from my Swap Partner Stacey over on facebook, I love the clever design of the box and the pretty decoration.
You will see from the pictures below that Stacey filled it with Chocolate, toiletries and Craft goodies, what more could you want!!

Michele's Magazine Review

Hi Ladies,

Making Cards & Papercraft magazine has some lovely papers this month.

This is the first collection of cards made using the free papers.

This is the second collection-don't they look stunning ?

Interesting article on using tissue & glue.

Nice feature on using Vellum.

Just look at the free stamps with next months magazine-so cute.

That’s all for this week -Happy Crafting.

Love Michele

Another fantastic review Michele, again some very useful features, particularly the one on using Tissue and using Vellum, they can both be a challenge to use but the results are generally amazing.
What a great free gift too, especially with the Digi Stamps.
Thank you so much Michele for another great review.
I would like to give you an extra special thanks for all the reviews you have given us throughout the year, I think this has been a fantastic additional feature to the Blog and I am so grateful that you take the time to write it every week, so thanks once again my lovely. XXXXXX

Thats all for today,  I hope that you all enjoy the rest of your weekend,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra

Hope your day is productive but not too tiring.

I have quite a busy day today-shopping in the village & a Parcel to collect then the hairdressers at 9,30. Quick trip into Southport (to return the boots I didn’t manage to return last Saturday then see if the Chocolate shop has what I want to buy. We’re off out for s meal tonight so I think I’ll be relaxing this afternoon.

Sandra- have a lovely mini x-mas with your mum and sister. Make sure Paul drive carefully. we got home 2 hours later then we should because of floods on the roads coming out from Colchester, the police had stopped the traffic into one lane and we could just crawl through. Not nice at all.
We too had a mini x-mas with Step-son and it was lovely to see them. Take care if you going shopping, the queues for the tills were long but hopefully we now have everything except the special bread which we picking up on Monday from Redlett.

  6. Hi Sandra & Ladies
Lovely box & goodies Sandra. Thank you for the mag reviews Michele. You’ve really done a Stirling job throughout the year.
Enjoy your trip to Colchester tomorrow Sandra. I hope you get there without to much trouble.
I hope you’ve settled back in at home Lynda. Must be lovely to be back in the quiet of home.
Pete’s brothers wife Gill emailed me this morning to say that Andrew ( one of their sons ) has been told to pack things for a quick getaway from their house as the bush fires are getting quite close. Gill said you can taste the ash when you breath in and swallow, and the smog is awful from the smoke.
Well it was quite bright this morning but is now raining again.
    Stay safe wherever you are.

  8. Hello Sandra and ladies,
Sorry I haven’t been in for a couple of days. My Sister has returned to Loughborough, it was lovely having her here, I am now trying to catch up, really thought I was well organised - BUT I’m not still working on my “Special “ cards sorry ladies including yours, at this rate they will be New Year’s cards. Thank you for your wonderfully inspiring cards.

MICHELE thank you for your brilliant magazine review, lots of interesting ideas this month. xx

Hope you managed to get your turkey cooked ready to take to Mums tomorrow and the roads are not to busy. Have a lovely very special family day xx

Love your swap from Stacey, really great girly mix.

I did start to make a CC but only got as far as cutting out the shape. SORRY

Today I went into town and finished my Christmas shopping, yippee, I had previously done a lot of online shopping, it certainly takes the hassle out of it
Christmas. Today the shops were heaving, I can only say a big thank you to all of the staff in M&S, Debenhams and House of Fraser they were mega busy but in each store the service was above and beyond.

Sleep well ladies, hugs Brenda xxx
