Good Morning Ladies,
I thought I would do a 'Throw Back' Card for today, this particular card was made this week 3 years ago, so December 2016, how crazy is that, it came up on my Facebook Memories yesterday morning and what surprised me was how similar the layout of the Poinsettia and Holly was to the Mirror card I made on Tuesday!
You can't beat a Christmas Card in Traditional Colours though, can you?
I will add the Original Card Description Below:
"Now onto today's card, it is another take on this weeks Challenge card, I used Creative Expressions Poinsettia Border, from Border, Corner, Tag set, cut the base part in red and then used the base and decorative insert for the white top piece, I added some foam tape and placed on a 61/4 squared piece of Linen card that I had embossed with 'That Special Touch Holly Border Mask' , yes I used a mask instead of an embossing folder, as I wanted a frame but didn't have one the same size. I then used the Poppystamps Stitched Poinsettia die cuts that I did while at Pats on Tuesday, the little ones aren't Poppystamps but Pat didn't have packet to know what Brand they were, they are a sweet size though.
I used Creative Expressions Holly Sprig die for the Foliage and added some red gems for the berries.
I decided to go for a pale gold colour gems for the centres of the poinsettias and the border.
I hope you like the card "
Sue was unable to come over yesterday as she had another of her Migraines, bless her, I hope you are feeling better today my lovely xxx
It just so happened that Sophie and Lucy had the day off together too, so we decided to go and do some Christmas shopping, we didn't get very much, a few stocking fillers and some more of the old fashioned foil ceiling decorations...not for me, Sophie loves the tackiness and was using our old original ones from many, many, years ago that she found in the bottom of a box, they have been stapled and stuck together so many times, I was so surprised to see them in the shops today, they were really cheap too, so she has some new ones to put up this year, she was really excited bless her, Lucy prefers to have just a tree.
A crafting day is on the cards today, what are you all up to??
Whatever it is, I hope that you have a lovely one,
Good News from Lynda.....the physiotherapists are really happy with her, they said that she can continue her recovery at home, so fingers crossed she will only be in another couple of days xxx
Love and hugs to all,
Sandra

DeleteMorning Ladies
ReplyDeleteSandra-gorgeous Card. Such a pity Sue had a migraine & couldn’t come over.
I ended up finishing work early as I felt worse-straight home to bed . Slept all afternoon, evening and most of last night. Feel much better but still tired. I’m planning on a day of clearing my emails (work) so that shouldn’t be too taxing.
Michele

Hello Sandra and ladies,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card for throwback Thursday Sandra, yes we all love our traditional Christmas cards. This one is really lovely and the layout is perfect.
Like Lucy I’m just happy with the Christmas tree and a few parcels underneath, that to me is festive. OH likes garlands draped over pictures, across the chimney breast, you name it he would hang them there, I have to say to him I think that’s enough now. He keeps asking when should he get the decorations out of the loft, my usual reply is let’s leave it nearer to Christmas.
LYNDA Great news you are doing so well, you’re obviously doing as a physiotherapist tell you – well done! Just be careful when you get home and remember everything that has been said about taking things easy. Big hugs on there way to you. xx
SUE sorry you didn’t get over to see Sandra yesterday, I hope your migraine eases up and you’ll soon be back on form to tackle all the mounting jobs we all have this time of year. Take care. xx
MICHELE Hope you have a quiet day and you get all your emails sorted out, are you sorting them out at home or have you gone into work? If you are in work lock your office door!! xx
Sending love and hugs to everyone Brenda xxx
