My First Clean and Simple Challenge card

Good Monday Morning Ladies,

I hope that you all had a lovely weekend, I'm pretty sure that if any of you attempted shopping won't have had a 'relaxing' weekend, we had a similar experience as Janet when we popped out yesterday, there were so many people, you can see instantly as you approach the shopping centres and see the long queue for parking that it's going to be a nightmare.  I like to have a look around TK Max for little stocking fillers, they have some nice boxed socks and I managed to get Paul some lovely gardening tools one year, they have lots of sets of 'smellies' (lotions and potions) that look lovely in all the gift packaging, all though thats not great for the planet of course!! I could never look through the clothes in there though as it looks like a jumble sale, I like things organised into sizes and styles etc.  We always manage to pick up some lovely packs of Coffee in there, it's become a tradition, they had everything from 'Pecan Turtle' (I know, don't ask as I have no idea)!  To 'Sugar Cookie' coffee then the girls favourites are the nutty ones, particularly hazelnut, I'm not a huge coffee fan but I can manage one that has a 'sugar cookie or nutty' taste.

Today's card is my first 'Clean & Simple' Challenge card for this week, it really couldn't have been simpler, I just put a piece of white card through the machine with one of the 'Apple Blossom' embossing folders, which has 'Merry Christmas' all over the bottom and mini holly sprigs across the top half, with stars flowing through the centre band.  I was going to die cut some Holly to add or add some red to the berries but I thought 'No' I am going to keep it as simple as possible, white on white with clear sparkles!! I did manage to pick up a little of the sparkle in the photo but it hasn't picked them all up which is a shame, you get the idea though.  As the embossing has 'Merry Christmas' written all over bottom I decided not to add another sentiment.
I quite like the effect, quite a quick and easy Clean and Simple card to start the week.

Lynda is hoping to see the Consultant again this morning so that she can get some answers, fingers up the wound has started to heal and she will no longer need the extra surgery.  Sending hugs my lovely, we are all thinking of you and sending you healing hugs. XXX

I have GP today with Sophie for the results of her bloods and Xrays to find out the cause of her wrist pain, then Pat is coming over this afternoon instead of tomorrow as she has the Dentist, so I think the day will go fast.

I hope you all have a lovely day,

Love and hugs to all,

  1. Morning Ladies

Sandra-gorgeous Card, so classy & elegant. I hope you managed to get done of your Christmas shopping done yesterday.

We didn’t leave the house as we were exceptionally tired and the winds (from the latest storm) had hit the NorthWest. We managed to get all the Christmas decorations up and the empty boxes back in the loft. I did the housework then had a play in my craft room.
It’s still very windy outside -I hate going out in the wind.

Let’s see what this new week brings me at work-hopefully not too many problems!

  2. Morning Everyone
Beautiful card to start the week.
As yet I haven't even started to

We had a quiet day yesterday and I'll be on my own this morning as Jim is on duty. It will be his last day until after Christmas (first time of using that word this year) so I'm hoping to get one or two jobs done in

The CAFE is open ready and waiting so pop in when you can.
HUGS on their way to you all.
LYNDA-fingers crossed you get good news today.Huge HUGS.
Take care and stay safe xxxx

  3. Hello all
Lovely card SANDRA I love “simple” cards I don’t know about you but I think because we hand make cards non crafters expect you to make really intricate cards whereas we appreciate that even CAS cards take time and effort to make
Yesterday’s cards were lovely and some great ideas using the tic tac toe
I hate to say it but we went shopping yesterday for a couple of gifts and WGC was quite quiet It was easy
We then went to a tea dance in the afternoon There was a live band I got a little emotional as MIL would have loved it listening to the “old” sounds and it reminded me as a child loving watching my mum and dad waltzing/jiving around the floor
We went on to a Salsa class which was really enjoyable
I hope you get some good news today LYNDA
    Take care all xxx

  4. Morning ladies,

Lovely quiet day (after the hectic Cannington Christmas on Saturday), Milly-May arrived so full of life and joy and then I had the telephone call that changed my day.
My nephew's partner had been taken into hospital earlier that morning and her heart collapsed under the strain of her many illnesses. So sad for Eddie and their two girls. Instead of Christmas they will be arranging a funeral. Life is just so unkind at times especially this season though.

    Love 7 hugs
    Cheryl xxx

    1. Oh Cheryl how so so sad My thoughts are with you and your family

Brenda, hope your bloods were fine and no other meds needed.

Busy bee finish off the x-mas cards to send for abroad and UK so not going anywhere today. Tomorrow we have to get some food shopping in but not from town, do trying to stay away now. Also going back to Dobbies with a couple of tops i bought on Friday. Didn't like trying on in the shop so brought them home to try, sure have time for a hot drink while there.

  6. Hello Sandra and ladies,

I hope Sophie got an explanation from the GP as to why she has pain in her wrists, fingers crossed 🤞 Love your CAS card, so fresh and clean.

CHERYL what sad news, your nephew and his daughters must be in total shock, my thoughts and prayers are with you all. xx

LYNDA I hope you have been seen by your constant and the news is good. xx

Not a lot going on here, spent most of the day doing housework, now I’m feeling very tired. I did get into the craft room for a short while but I was just putting things away, I have cleared a space to work so maybe I can finish off my Christmas cards now.

Sending love and hugs to everyone, Brenda xxx
