The Box I made to go with yesterday's card

Good Morning Ladies,

Today I am sharing with lid of the box that I made for the pretty Berry Burst card that I shared with you yesterday.
I do love a Hexagonal Box and card, they just seem to look something a bit more special to me.
I used dies from a set I bought a while ago, designed by Christina Griffiths (Card Making Magic) I think her blog is called 'Flowers, Ribbon & Pearls'
I used those dies for the box base and lid and for the card base too.  I used another of my DT dies from 'Inloveartshop' to create the decorative elements on the lid of the box,  I used Berry Burst card again for the mats and layers between that lovely Floral Label Die, I finished the box with flowers made in the same colours and added gemstones to the little details in the die cut layers.
I really like how the box and card came out.

Sadly I didn't make my day out with the girls, Paul decided that we needed to go and get a few more bits of Christmas shopping done (he was right as we managed to pick up the last rug in the shop that Becca had asked for), on the way home I started to feel really unwell, I went really hot and felt sick, got home and I just had to strip off and lay on the bed, next thing I was shivering, my heart was playing up and I had a really odd pressure feeling in my chest, Paul just told me to get into bed and stay there, it went on for most of the night, Sophie and Lucy were leaving super early so I told them not to wait for me, it was a good job as I didn't start to improve until lunchtime.
We have put off our lunch date for another day, Sophie had her last University and she was ahead of all her deadlines so she gets the next month to herself!  She is working 6 days this week along with Lucy though, one thing my girls have is a great work ethic.

Maria how was your Stamping Group??

Karen I am so glad you had a lovely time with Oscar x

I hope you all have a lovely day,

Love and hugs to all

Sandra

Sandra-the Box is every bit as beautiful as the card...it’s stunning.

Sorry to hear you haven’t been well-how frustrating for you. Fingers crossed you start to improve. The girls certainly do have a great work ethic-all credit to you + Paul.

Heating engineer had gone by 9am yesterday. TV delivered around midday so I had lots of time to play in my craft room.

  3. Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. Such a pretty box to match the lovely card. I agree that hexagonal cards always look extra good. Anyone receiving this would feel very special. Sorry to hear you couldn’t go with the girls yesterday but at leat you have a lunch out together to look forward to, when the girls aren’t working that is as like you say they all work hard don’t they. But they have two wonderful role models so no surprise there. I hope you are feeling much better today my lovely xx

  4. Morning ladies,

Loved your card and box showcased on your stash reveal. Really gorgeous, have you a video yet for the box and the advent 'book'?

Another colder morning with the wintery sun trying to peep out from behind the wispy clouds. After yesterday's frosty coldness I turned the gas fire on during the evening for the first time in a week. My heating is set for 45F on timer which is quite warm as the day unfolds. Not opening and closing the front and back does certainly helps to keep the heat in.

Almost done in arranging the lucky dip gift storage boxes into Christmas, children, baby, male and female categories, it makes it so much easier to start filling the bags as no going from one mixed up box to another to find something.
Time to finish making the numbered flash stars for each bag, I usually do 60 but think there is more donated items this yearn so another few won't take much time.

    Love 7 hugs

  8. Hello Sandra and ladies,
What a lovely box you have made for yesterday’s card Sandra, it will make whoever receives it feel very special ( but then all of your cards are extra special) xx
Credit to you and Paul, you girls are only following the example you both have set them. They are a credit to you both as are Matt and Becca, not one of them work shy.
Had a good day today, two loads of washing done, quick go around with the Gtech and after lunch went to my craft room, just tidying up a bit, lots of ideas in my head but for now - but that is as far as I got! Mojo not working very well.
Have a good evening everyone, Brenda xxx
