Your Challenge Cards

Good Sunday Morning Ladies,

Wow, it looks like you all enjoyed this 'Spotlight' Challenge as much as I did, it was one of those techniques that got me thinking, I could have made more, well in fact I did and will share those with you later this month.

Anyway I know you just want to see the cards so lets go...…..

Karen

Three amazing Spotlight cards from Karen this week, bearing in mind that they were all made for the same technique they are all completely different.

Card 1:  I used a page from a colouring book Cut s circle and coloured that with a very old set of pencils - I really should get out my chameleon pens I will add a sentiment at some point

Card2:  A first Birthday card inspired by one seen on Pinterest

Card 3: Here’s  cc 3 for this week It’s similar to one I have made before using MCS images A few of their CD-ROMs have what they call NSR - no stamp required and have both a coloured image and a black and white one
I have changed the background colour from beige to blue.

Thanks so much Karen, I love your cards, the colours on the last one are gorgeous, I hope you enjoyed the challenge XXX

 Janet

Janet has made 4 Incredible cards for this weeks 'Spotlight' Technique Challenge, you have come up with some lovely designs my lovely, I don't like to admit to favourites but your last card is just gorgeous.

Cards 1 & 2: Janet has used beautiful embossing folders for both of these cards, the Star themed cards focal frame matches the embossing folder that Janet has used in the background, not sure what make they are. The second card features a lovely leaf spring embossing folder, the focus of the card is that circular greeting and those pretty Blue Bells that Janet has added to bring the design to life.

Card 3:  Janet has created a Fantasy Scene with those silhouette Fairies, the spotlight element is the lovely red toadstool.

Card 4:  Janet's final card is a Mixed Media style card, a gatefold card made with hammered cardstock that Janet has stamped with a script stamp, which creates a lovely effect, a beautiful butterfly creates the spotlight element of the card.

Thank you so much Janet for 4 stunning Spotlight Challenge cards, you certainly enjoyed this challenge XXX

Lilian

Lilian has used a beautiful stamp to create her 'Spotlight' card, I love how you have used both the die cut circle method and very cleverly shading with your colouring to enhance the 'Spotlight' element of your card. Your attention to detail is outstanding Lilian, your clever use of matting and layering really draws your eye in to the main focus of the card.

Lilian I am so very grateful that you felt up to taking part in this weeks challenge XXX

Lynda

Lynda downloaded colouring sheets from the internet to create both of her 'Spotlight' Challenge cards.
Lynda's first card features a beautiful pink rose as the Spotlight element, Lynda has used framing and colour to create the spotlight effect.
Lynda's second card is made from a really pretty floral paper that Lynda has die cut a circle from and coloured beautifully.
Both cards are lovely Lynda, I hope that you enjoyed this challenge, I know how hard it is for you to sit and make your cards, so I really appreciate the time you take to do them. XXX

Margaret

Margaret I am so over the moon to be featuring your cards on our Challenge Display this week, I was delighted when Sue told me that she has some cards for me.

Margaret's first card features the pretty Butterfly Gala paper that I used, Margaret has cleverly gone one step further than I did, she coloured and fussy cut the butterfly to make it stand out even more, brilliant idea Margaret!!
Margaret's second card features a lovely stamp, those birds are so cute, to create the Spotlight Margaret has simply coloured just one of the birds.

Thank you so much Margaret for two amazing challenge cards, such a huge achievement for you right now, I am so grateful that you were able to be included XXX

 Maria

WOW Maria 4 amazing cards for our 'Spotlight' Challenge this week, you even managed two Christmas cards, I was blown away when I opened your email and saw your cards.
1) a pretty flower stamp and used only part of it to colour in with S.Noir
to draw your eyes towards the flower in the middle.

2) Used T.Holtz Disterss Inks for making the circle and then
stamped the trees over.

3) here I stamped the door ,cut out the circle and coloured it
in with Spectrum Noir and then re-position it back.

4) picture is from a old card and I just cut the circle out, gave it
a grey rim, put 2mm thickness foam under and put it back. Finished
off with a little poinsettia in the corner.

Thank you so much Maria for 4 stunning challenge card, another card making technique that you have mastered! I love all of your cards. XXX

Michele

Michele used some lovely patterned papers to create her 'Spotlight' Challenge cards.

The 'Spotlight' elements of the cards were created my Michele using both plain and scalloped circle dies to die cut a circle from the card. Michele then placed the die cut circles onto matts of different colour card that have been cut with either the scalloped or plain circle dies.

Thanks so much Michele for 5 fantastic Challenge cards, they have certainly boosted your sale table stock, I guess you could even add either die cut sentiment or images into the circles at a later stage.
Another successful Challenge! XXX
 Sue

How incredibly amazing is Sue's first 'Groovi' card ??!  Sue has made her Groovi framed piece into an Easel card, the bottom part of the Easel is where Sue has added her Sentiment, which were also added using the Groovi system, (this is not easy as you have to work back to front).

The 'Spotlight' element of this stunning card is that Beautiful Butterfly that Sue has coloured perfectly.
Sue I bet Pops was over the moon with his stunning birthday card, you always come up with something new and original for Pop's birthday and this is no exception.
Thank you for taking part in this Challenge Sue, your card is truly stunning XXX

Ladies, OMG, WOW, I don't know what else to say to share with you how amazed I am at the incredible cards that you have all created for this weeks challenge, I will admit that I was in two minds whether to go with the challenge or not, I am so pleased that I decided to go for it, we now have another challenge that we can add to our list.
Thank you all so much for the amazing effort you put into taking part in these challenges each week. XXX
