Your Challenge Cards

Good Sunday Morning Ladies,

What a beautiful day yesterday turned out to be, it was lovely and sunny, blue skies really mild too, managed to get 2 loads almost dry, just needed a little airing.  It's such an accomplished feeling when you have a huge basket of dry washing, I do find that you can get away without ironing  if you fold them straight from washing line, I tend to lay them folded over the bar if the aga and they dry crease free!  Obviously things like Paul's shirts etc still need ironing but that's a fraction of the washing, I know it's laziness but we have to spend our energy wisely these days! 🤣😂

Let's have a look at your Challenge cards that you have made using your various powders, pastes, glitters,  stencils, masks and other under used craft stash!

Your Challenge Cards

Sonia

Sonia's Description:

I used Alcohol inks on vellum, and sprinkled some gilding flakes on the wetter parts. After it had dried I rubbed the excess flakes with my finger. Added my ‘trademark’ butterfly and the sentiment is from LOTV.

Oh now that is a great background Sonia, absolutely genius idea adding Gilding Flakes to the wet Alcohol ink,  it's like looking down at earth from space!  Sometimes everything just comes together like magic, this is definitely one of those!
Thank you so much for taking part in this weeks challenge Sonia XXX

Karen

Karen's Description:

Two cards
One with gold embossing which I don’t think I’ve ever used on other a sentiment
And an EF which I quite often forget you use.

Now you really inspired me with your first card,  I have that Embossing Folder and haven't used it for easily over 5 years!  The flowers you have used work so well with the E folder too.
How amazing does that glass stamp look simply embossed?!
Thank you so much for taking part Karen XXX

Lilian

Lilian's Description:

Hi, here is my page for this week.
My paste has gone a bit lumpy, hence the rough look.
Coloured with treasure gold green.
Stencil and stamps in oxide inks.
New washi tape down the middle.

Oh Lilian that page is so lovely,  such gorgeous colours,  I love that TH stencil! The one on the opposite side is lovely too, especially that little dragonfly!  Where do you buy your washi tape?  I keep looking at different ones but never commit to buying in case it's not decent quality.
Thank you so much for taking part my lovely XXX

  3. Hi everyone
Beautiful cards today, they’re all lovely 😊
Another sunny day here, but a bit chilly! Managed to get a load of washing out and dry yesterday too….not sure how much longer we’ll be able to do that though as the weather turns. I remember when I was younger my mum would hang out the washing in all seasons and particularly remember jeans hung on the Iine in the cold and ending up so stiff you could stand them up on their own, lol 😂
Karen, hope you have a restful day and your hips and knees aren’t too painful xx
Have a good day everyone, whatever you’re doing.
    Hugs to you all xxx

  4. Hi everyone
Nice cards this Sunday ladies. I need to practise more with my embossing and for using pastes for it was a real mess.
I sent two for you Sandra but I was late and I did it from my phone so who knows where it went 😉
Janet, hope you had a nice time meeting up with Jim's Niece . Have a rest today.
Sue, hope you had fun with all the grandchildren around. Must get very quiet after they gone home 😊
Lilian, have a great day with the family x
Brenda, hope all went well for John and he soon can see better. Is he having the other eye done too ? Hugs
Managed to do some dusting and cleaning this morning but had to take breaks from time to time. Sister-in-law and her OH is coming over tomorrow so downstairs loo is now out of bound 😂
Have a nice day everyone and enjoy whatever you are doing. Many hugs to you all xxx
