Good Saturday Morning Ladies,
Ooh hasn't the weather changed, it was so chilly and damp, the rain was horizontal almost while we were shopping, I had to put my 'Big Coat' on!! 🤣😂
I bought ingredients for slow cooker, warming meals this week. We had Beef in Guinness last Monday with dumplings it was proper comfort food and the girls were delighted ( well apart from Lucy who doesn’t like dumplings) 🙄! Who doesn’t like dumplings?! I made them with frozen grated butter instead of suet.
What are your favourite 'Comfort foods ' for Autumn /Winter. If this government makes anymore 'Budget ' announcements we are all going to come up with some frugal meals, absolute shower of idiots !!! I thought Boris was a clown!!😔
I would like to thank our lovely Brenda for my stunning Birthday card (above). That gorgeous background looks like Brenda was playing with Alcohol inks, the gold mixative is absolutely stunning and works so well the green, they are perfect partners! I love how you have let that gorgeous piece of art as the main feature of the card. I absolutely L❤VE it Brenda, thank you so very much XXX
I hope that you all have a lovely weekend,
Love and huge hugs to all of you,
Sandra xxxxxx
A great saying I can hear my OH muttering those words!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Brenda
My comfort foods during winter is beef stew with dumplings I don’t make it often because although I cook it with onions/mushrooms etc I have to fish them out at the end because OH doesn’t like them I quite often add curry powder to my dumplings not his I hope to make more use of my new soup maker this winter!
We’re out at the bowls club this evening Never been to one of their “entertainment” nights It could be interesting!
I must finish my “bits” card this morning
Take care everyone xx
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card from our Brenda.
Not used my alcohol inks much and always forget using the EF's so something to look into. Sorry missed comment yesterday, I had a look in but forgot to go back. Another day feeling pretty rough so not doing much.
Have a good day everyone and many warm hugs to you all xxx
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteThat saying is so true 😉😂
A beautiful card from Brenda, absolutely love the alcohol ink background.
I like a good casserole/stew too in this weather, and I love dumplings 🙂 A lovely roast dinner too - don’t do them often, but will be having roast chicken tomorrow.
Karen, enjoy your evening at the bowls club.
Maria, hope you’re ok, take care.
Have a good day everyone
Sending hugs to you all xxx
Hello Sandra and ladies,
ReplyDeleteWe have also been having Winter meals this week, the cold weather makes you think comfort food.
Thank you for sharing my birthday card, I really had fun creating the background paper. I made a similar one for our younger daughters birthday in September.
Karen hope you enjoyed your bowling. Maria sorry you are feeling so rough, hope you feel better soon. 😚 Sonia enjoy your casserole, OH loves dumplings, I’m not very keen so he gets extra!
Sending hugs to everyone, love Brenda xxx
Hello , it’s been jolly cold here today, had to get my fleece waistcoat out.
ReplyDeleteBrenda lovely card you sent to Sandra.
Managed to get a card done for tomorrow, decided to do mosaic, took ages, and trying to make the little pieces of paper stick down.
Looking forward to doing this weeks challenge, just up my street.
It’s getting dark really early, so hate this time of year.
Goodnight all, Lilian
Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. Love both of the sayings, the first so true and the autumnal one is lovely 😁 Brenda’s card to you is so pretty with that gorgeous background.
ReplyDeleteI hope you all have had a good day ladies. We had a great day with all of the grands and lovely sunny weather so we all enjoyed a few hours at the park. Sending love and hugs to you all xxxx
