A walk in the Autumn Garden

Good Morning Ladies,

We are half way through the week, what a week it's turning out to be!

I am sorry to be a miserable cow again this week, I ending calling the GP surgery in a combination of frustrated rage and desperation!! I toke my last antibiotic at 1am Monday morning, I felt 'ok,' Monday but not great.  I was hoping to feel better yesterday as the antibiotics made their way out of my system.  Imagine my horror a I had "that terrible urgency " to pee at 2am,  then the agonising burn kicked in, 10 X worse than last time, I literally was shivering with pain, so as soon as the surgery opened I was on that phone, I didn't even 'ask' for an appointment, I just said I need to speak to a GP I quickly recounted last weeks frustrations and then explained that I finished antibiotics yesterday and infection was back today.  Miraculously she gave me an appointment straight away without any complaints, it was with their "Senior Clinician" not a GP but hey it's a face to face appointment!!

'Rob' is a Paramedic, covering for GP's (not sure where the 10 Doctors at our surgery are). Anyway back to Rob, he couldn't have been nicer  he was very thorough too, wanted a full history of my UTI history,  which started after a long period of catheterization ,(around 6 weeks) after which I physically couldn't 'go'!  The loss of sensation has improved but isn't perfect which is what they think is part of the problem.  I just wish they would refer me to a Urologist.  The outcome is I started another course of antibiotics yesterday,  Nitrofurantoin this time, fingers crossed a week of these will do it.!!

Right moan over, to balance out the miserable rant I have shared with you a few highlights from our Garden this weekend,  I can hardly believe that the Chrysanthemum and Dalhia's still have loads of buds on them, so fingers crossed they will last a week or so longer.  It's an absolute joy looking out each day to see how things have changed, along with the flowers we have Tenderstem Brocoli,  Chantenay Carrots and Brussel sprouts that will be ready to pick on Christmas day.

These are the veg we picked for tea on Monday night.

Let's hope that today is a good one for all of us, I am determined to get in my craft room!

Sending my love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra                                                                                xxxxxx

  3. Hi everyone
Wow, your flowers and plants are so beautiful. Your garden must be so colourful 😍 Your home grown vegetables look lovely too. We don’t grow any veg of our own, but have been given some from friends over the years, and the taste of home grown is wonderful!
I hope the new antibiotics help, and you start to feel better soon xx

  4. Hi Sandra and all looking in today.
You have so many gorgeous flowers in your garden, there is always something out and I always love seeing all of them over the year (and smelling the beautiful roses, especially the one on the corner of the wall outside the lounge). Your vegetable plots are so good to see too. Having your own lovely fresh veg for Christmas Day is the best and makes the hard work all worth while. I hope you are starting to get some relief from the new meds my lovely. Thinking of you and sending gentle hugs xxxx
Maria, sorry you are still not feeling well. Sending you gentle hugs too xx
I hope the rest of you are as well as possible. Some of the flu jabs are causing more side effects this year so look after yourselves. Sending hugs to you all. Take care xx
