Up Saturday

Good Saturday Morning Ladies,

I hope that today finds you as well as can be expected. We are going to have a lazy morning before leaving to drive to Newark (Nottinghamshire) for the family party.  I have spent the last 24hrs stressing about going, what to wear etc,  I could quite easily make my excuses and stay home,  but that's not the kindest thing to do.  It doesn't start until 4pm, which is on odd time,  the journey will take about 2 1/2 hours each way, so we will plan to leave at around 8pm at the latest.

What are you all up to this weekend?  I hope you have a wonderful time however you are spending it.

Lilian's Latest Creations

This is the amazing Key Rack that Lilian created at her IndigoBlu Zoom class.  I love the colours and all of the detail on each of the houses.  Lilian coloured the houses with IndigoBlu Luscious Pigment powders.

Hi, thought I’d show you the box and albums I finished at last. One portrait and one landscape. They have fold out pages and flip, flap pages. This is what I used my Climt papers for.

Lilian your Albums and box are amazing, the Klimt papers are perfect, I love all the detail you have used and the colours too.
Thank you so much for sharing your makes with us. XXX

Simply Cards & Papercraft Magazine Review

This month the free gifts are feather and sentiment stamps and also a separate feather stamp and die outline set. There are several card and gift ideas for the men in our lives which is always good.

These cards use the free stamps and die and are are perfect for the men. There is a great How To:  to master the faux enamel technique which uses embossing powders and glitters to make lovely backgrounds. I will definitely be trying this technique.

More makes using the freebies. There are 6 different gifts to make including a box with two mini crackers. They can be filled with all manner of goodies from chocolate to miniature alcohol bottles. There is also a notebook cover, a bottle label, a sign, a gift bag and a chocolate bar cover, that is my favourite of course. A How To: create shrink plastic mini leaves which can then be used on the gifts, cards etc

These cards are in some pretty colours making them great for ladies. But with a tweek of colours the men are covered too. Some different techniques to make a change too.

Both the sign and the two cards are made using some of the free SC&P downloads. This is great for those of us that haven’t mastered the art of Calligraphy yet!

More downloads. This time the 12 digi stamps are all about the seaside. Who doesn’t like a paddle and to feel the sand between your toes?
The Tried and Tested item this month is Lisa Horton’s Ulti-Mate Multi Tool. It is specifically designed by Lisa to work with layered stencils, which can then be die-cut and dry embossed with co-ordinating sets. It can also be used for other jobs such as lining up card panels with card bases and lining up stamps with die cuts among other things.

I love these Bee Crafty Doddle Art Mandala stamps. They would look great both on cards and with mixed media pieces.

There are other articles and the usual completions etc. If you want any more details please let me know.

Take care Sue xx

Sue thank you so much for such a fantastic review of this month's C&P magazine review, I really like the free gift,  feathers never used to appeal to me but some of the projects I have seen using them are fantastic,  so I am very tempted.  I really appreciate you taking the time to write this review,  thanks again my lovely XXX

Ladies I hope you have a great Saturday,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra
