My Sketch Challenge card

Good Morning Ladies,

We had quite a close and muggy day yesterday,  it felt like we were waiting for a storm to happen, but it never came!  I laughed at Paul as he was working shirtless, I said well you can't do that in the office, he informed me that they have air conditioning but the majority of the staff are Spanish and if they have the Air conditioning on they all sit with their coats on!  It's an large open plan office with no windows, so you need something to get the air moving around.  I don't think they have had it on since covid started because of the fear of spreading the virus.  It will be a quiet day here today as Paul has gone into the office and the girls have gone over to Dogsit Benji as Adam is taking Becca away for her Birthday, it's all a surprise she has no idea what's happening, I am excited for her, plus she can relax and enjoy herself a bit more knowing that things have moved forward with the house situation.  Fingers crossed she has an amazing time.

Today's card is my take on this weeks Sketch Challenge, I used the Stampin Up!  'Quite Curvy' Bundle (stamp and dies), I don't think I have used them before, or the colour 'Pale Papaya' either, I have no idea why as I actually love this colour, a really soft peach similar to Petal Pink.

I took a piece of Pale Papaya card and created and 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 card base, I then used one of the Curvy dies to cut a border which cut the bottom portion of the card off, I added a mat of Very Vanilla inside and lined the sentiment up to run along the curve of the card, I then stamped it out.  I stamped to border pieces in Old Olive ink and coloured the flowers with Pale Papaya ink and a water brush, I die cut them and added them to run along the curved edge.  I then stamped the birds and coloured with with Stamp 'n' blends Pool Party and then arranged them around the card, the lower one I added to hold the card closed (the edge of the card tucks behind his head). I had to cut a little branch for him to stand on as he would look daft floating, so I tried to angle it to follow the curve of the card.  The finishing touches are the ribbon and bow with tiny die cut flower and the little metallic gems along the border.

I hope that whatever you are up to today it turns out just the way you want it to!

Sending my love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra                                                                                                                                                          xxxxxx

  1. Very pretty SANDRA The addition of the little birdies across the curve is a lovely idea
Yesterday was a frustrating/disappointing day because I went shopping for some underwear and nothing worked I am hoping to craft this afternoon but then I shouldn’t waste this lovely weather and be stuck indoors
I hope BECCA has a lovely time - a real double celebration
    Take care everyone xx

I loved seeing our Lilian's work. The key ring holder look fantastic and the Box , it is amazing ! well done. Hope your back is better.
All your cards on Sunday were all very nice. It will be a little while before I'll join you but I be back. Nice to see a card by our Michele yesterday. Hope your hand now back to normal and work is okay.
Washing and unpacking all done. Feeling a bit low for tomorrow the kids are going (the empty nest syndrome) Son had moved all my crafting stuff up to his room while we were away so no more standing in the kitchen. The kitchen now look big with all that worktop space back again.
Nice warm day here, hope you all had the same. Many hugs to you all xxx
