Your Challenge Cards

Good Sunday Morning Ladies,

We are having a lovely relaxed weekend, I hope you are too.  We needed to slow the pace down after our busy week in London, we loved every moment but life is a totally different pace, living there must be exhausting,  everyone seems to be in a hurry!

Now lets get down to the highlight of the Week,  your amazing Challenge cards ........

Lilian

Lilian's Description:

Card 1:  Hi, here my Christmas card for this week. It’s a metal stencil, from sweet poppy.

Ink is broken China mixed with bundled sage.
Stamp is from Lavinia stamps.

Card 2:  Hi, another Christmas card for this weeks challenge, it’s from a Utube video by Jo Rice. Sorry the wreath is a bit crooked, I should use a circle mask to get it even.

Oh Lilian your cards this week are so inspirational,  those Lavinia trees inside that beautiful Bauble stencil just work beautifully,  you could create so many amazing scenes inside that Bauble.   Your wreath card is also stunning !  I love the green with that gorgeous pop of red.
Thank you so much for two amazing Challenge cards.XXX

Sonia

Sonia's Description:

Card 1:

Hi lovely,  here's my first card.
I've used Milled Lavender and Speckled Egg inks for my background.
I inked and heat embossed the Tim Holtz snowflake and added the LOTV sentiment. The little snowflakes are from a punch.

Card 2:

I inked the back of a piece of vellum with Milled Lavender, and stuck it behind the Sue Wilson background die (sorry I can’t remember what it’s called) I stamped and heat embossed the medium sized Christmas Rose from Chloe’s Creative Crafts, and die cut them. I inked the backs with Speckled Egg and Milled Lavender. The sentiment also inked in Speckled Egg is from My Favourite Things.

OH wow Sonia, two stunning Christmas Challenge cards, I don't know where to start, I'll go with the obvious...the Texture on that beautiful Snowflake 😍!  Did you spray the background or 'smoosh' the inks ? I love the mottled effect , its just an inspirational card, the sentiment works perfectly too!  A real trendy/modern Christmas card.
Card 2 is beautiful and delicate and much more Feminine,  I know these are Christmas roses but this card could be for any occasion. Those flower centres are some of the most effective I have seen and would work independently as snowflakes.
Thank you so much for taking part in this weeks challenge my lovely XXX

Karen

Karen's Description:

I tried to replicate a card Jo Rice did with texture paste and Brushos
I used PP’s instead but went a bit overboard with them I think on top of the Panache stencil
MARIA kindly gave me the die set after I’d commented on a card she made - she is naughty
Used Wilted Violet to stamp and mounted on a black shadow and foam pads.

A real WOW card Karen, I love the variation in depth of intensity of the blues, it just looks stunning, that stencil is lovely and works so well with this technique,  I really want to give this technique a try .  Thank you so much for taking part and for inspiring me XXX

Janet

Janet's Description:

Here are my offerings for this week. As usual I hope you like them.
HUGE HUGS A ND LOADS OF LOVE.xxxxx

My first Challenge card this week was made using:
LABLANCHE- this year's SEASONAL KIT

For my second and third cards this week they also were made using LABLANCHE but this time her ROYAL CHRISTMAS KIT which is also new for this year.
As you can see they are a mixture of Modern and Traditional.

Oh Janet these cards are so beautiful,  that first card with that beautiful floral paper and the Deer is so, so pretty, the cottage in the background is pretty too, I love your dedign.
The other two cards are equally as beautiful,  those LaBlanche papers are stunning,  that border is so beautiful,  the Poinsettia is a perfect balance of vintage and traditional.  Thank you so much for inspiring us with 3 beautiful challenge cards XXX

Michele

Michele's Description:

Card 1: kraft Card with Winter Wreath die set (that I have had in my stash for a couple of years and not used) .you

Card 2:  Saw so many lovely cards made using this this that I just had to buy the magazine! It’s navy & white.

Michele its so lovely to be featuring your cards on our Sunday Gallery , you have created two absolutely stunning Christmas Challenge cards, two classic  colour combinations that give a real WOW effect .
Thank you so much for allowing me to share your cards XXX

Maria

Maria's Description:

The first card is from the pack you saw yesterday from my shopping,
they are all pre-cut so pretty easy to put together.
My second card Is craft card and silver with a bit of green to break
it up a bit.
My third card I used a die to cut through the base card and then
I found a paper that I thought was quite app for the die and a simple
sentiment.  Hope you like them.

Oh Maria three beautiful Christmas Challenge cards, I can really see the glitter of the snow in your first card, I love all of the little elements that you have added to enhance your design, those little arrows draw your eye into the design.
Your second card reminds me why I love Kraft card so much, using the Silver Mirror card is such a great idea the fir branches were a genius addition,  perfectly placed to ground the carol singers! It works great with the Kraft card too.
Your third and final card is so amazing the paper you have used for the background looks incredible, what make is that die please,  I also REALLY love your sentiment,  a perfect Clean & Simple card.
Maria thank you so very much for taking part in our Christmas Challenge,  you have really inspired us XXX

Brenda

Brenda's Description:

The stamp is an old one I can’t remember who made it.
It’s a lovely stamp to use with children, I have coloured it with Copic pens.

Oh Brenda such a sweet Christmas card, beautifully coloured too. You don't see many cards depicting the Nativity these days, such a lovely card to send to children or for children to give.  Now I had a brief look for the stamp on line, Wild Rose Studio do a similar one, the sentiment reminds me of the 'Just Inklined' stamps from a few years back.  Wherever its from its lovely and your colouring has bought it to life.  It reminds me of the pictures we used to get behind the number 24 on our Advent Calendar when we were children, I still remember the excitement,  we had to take turns in opening the doors, we also had to be gentle so it could be used next year!!  Now they make no reference to the true meaning of Christmas and can contain anything from Coffee to Candles, Lego to Lipstick!!
Thank you so much Brenda for such a lovely challenge card XXX

Ladies thank you so much once again for supporting the challenge and inspiring everyone with your incredible designs. X❤X

I hope you all have a lovely enjoyable Sunday,

Love and hugs to all of you

Just popping in quickly before getting ready for work as I wanted to see everyone’s cards, and wow what a lovely selection. They are all fantastic 😊
Maria, your third card is stunning - the background is perfect with the die 😊
Sandra, I inked the background with my blending brushes, I’ve done it on Tim Holtz textured watercolour card xx
I was unsure about the sentiment on my second card, so I left it off in the end….I’ll be sure to post a picture on our messenger group when I’ve decided on one.

  4. Lovely cards today. Strange weekend for me as I’m working today, covering the vaccine clinics and I’m working all next week. Not much time to relax except the evenings.

Thank you Sandra for featuring my Christmas cards,

  5. Hello, from a lovely sunny Cornwall at the moment hope it stays that way as I have two loads outside to dry.

Very lovely cards today and all so different. I bought my stencil direct from sweet poppy, I don’t like using metal as the edges are very sharp.

Hope you are all having a lovely day; Lilian

  6. Hello Sandra and ladies,
What a lovely selection of Christmas cards each one so different but so lovely as well.
Hope you’re having a good day the weather here has been very kind, it’s cold but lovely and sunny.
We had a lovely surprise today both our daughters popped over just to see how we were, it’s not often we just get the girls so it really was a treat. The only thing when younger daughter left she for some reason picked up Johns door key with her keys, she did offer to come back with it but he’s gone over and meeting her at her local train station.
Janet hope you are well on the way to your retreat, sorry I can’t remember when you said you would get there, I’m sure your neighbours will have the log burner going for you so it really will feel like home when you arrive.
Take care everyone, have a good evening. Hugs Brenda xxx
