Good Morning Ladies,
I hope that you are all well this Tuesday morning, we had a mixed bag of weather yesterday, but it was mostly dry. Not as cold either thankfully. I saw on news that it is going to warm up a little towards the end of the week, fingers crossed we might get to go to a National Trust house before they close for Winter.
Paul worked early yesterday so he was home at his desk all afternoon, so I sat at my desk and had a really fun afternoon crafting, playing with some new stamps, I got a couple of cards made for this weeks challenge
Today's card is made with a Free Sale-a-bration Stamp called 'Feels Like Home ', I overlooked this stamp a few times but I am so pleased I changed my mind and ordered a couple!
All that I did to create this card is Stamp the Door image in 'Soft Suede' ink onto Very Vanilla card, I then matted and layered onto Soft Suede card and then onto a Very Vanilla card base. I found a sentiment from another stamp set (after about an hour๐) I was mad that finding the sentiment took longer than choosing the colour and making the card ! I faffed about lining the words up to create a narrow sentiment strip as I thought it worked better with this design, I added a mat of soft Suede to tie in with the design. That was it, so simple, I am going to try this in different colours too!
I hope that you all have a lovely day,
Love and hugs to all of you,
Sandra

Great card SANDRA Very classic and elegant As stamp sets seem to include a few sentiments I have written them all down and listed them against the stamp set they are in I forget what I’ve got A lot easier scanning a list than flicking through sets
ReplyDeleteGuess what- the gas man didn’t turn up as expected After a long exhaustive phone call it appears that it was cancelled without notifying us (I could hear a few raised voices!) and they are coming tomorrow and not 22nd as arranged
I have started a cc and whilst trying to get off to sleep last night I have a couple of ideas in my head
Take care everyone xx
Lilian, wishing you a belated Happy Birthday. How lovely to have spent some time with your family xx
DeleteHi Sandra and all in the Cafe today.
DeleteBoth yesterday’s and today’s non die cards are lovely. You show how less is definitely more. I love both of them. I’m glad you managed to get new waterproof coats
Oops, finger trouble๐
ReplyDeleteWouldn’t it be nice if you didn’t need to wear them. Don’t think that will be the case though as Brenda said as the weather changes so quickly now xx
Karen, what a genius idea to write down what sentiments you have in your stamp sets ๐ as I’m like Sandra and spend ages searching through all of my stamp sets trying to find the right sentiment that is also the right size. I would like yo “borrow” your brilliant idea please. I hope you have just about recovered from looking after the boys at the weekend. They are worth every ounce of tiredness aren’t they ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ xx
Maria, I’m so glad you are feeling much better now xx
Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for all in need. Take care xx
Hello and morning everyone from a sunny MK ๐
ReplyDeleteQuickly popped in to say how beautiful I think this stamp and the card is Sandra.
I wish you all a good day whatever you are up to and many hugs are sent to you all, extras for our missing friends. Maria xx
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteLove today’s card, and the stamp is so versatile.
Fingers crossed for better weather at the end of the week and weekend, I’ll hold off from putting the heating on for now ๐ Hopefully you’ll be able to have your day out to the National Trust property. Mark has another gig on Saturday and they’re planning on camping over - rather them than me ๐
Hope you’re all having a good day. Sending hugs to you all xxx
Hello Sandra and ladies,
ReplyDeleteLove today’s card it looks lovely in the Soft Suede ink, gives it an archival appearance.. I’m sure it would look equally good in many other colours.
Maria hope your trip into London was great and you got your passport sorted.
Karen, Great idea to list your sentiments. I have a ring binder with the many sentiments that come with magazines, but I tend to keep sets I have bought together.
Take care everyone, love Brenda xxx
