Your Challenge Cards

Good Sunday Morning Ladies,

It's easy to forget how easy life was without a dog around the house!! Particularly a 'Harley' Dog!!  To start with we had 2 very disgruntled 🐈  🐈‍⬛  they were not impressed that half of the house became 'out of bounds' for them, because despite the fact that they grew up together they do not get on, Milo will tolerate Harley but does not enjoy his company Bella on the other hand, will not tolerate being in Harleys company, she spent a good hour hitting the glass panel in the kitchen door throughout the day as she could see him in the kitchen !!

I won't keep you waiting any longer , here are your amazing 'Shades of One Colour' Challenge cards...

Lilian

Lilian's Description:

''Here is my card for this week, Oxide greens and a Tim Holtz stencil. Butterfly is an older stamp that I’ve had a while."

I absolutely love your card Lilian, (it might be something to do with the colour) lol, I love that stencilled background and the way you have blended the colours. Your gorgeous sparkly butterflies work so well with that stencil too, like the stencil creates the 'butterfly trails'.  Thanks you so much for taking part my lovely XXX

Maria

Maria's Description:

My CC's this week is one stamped with leafs in green with a Hello green embossed.

My second CC I made in pink with a swirly embossing folder and a very light pink/white Happy Birthday die.

Two amazing cards Maria, the first card I love because its green and I love the background you have created with the leaves.  Your second card is stunning, I have seen this embossing folder used many times but your card is my favourite, for some reason that embossed background makes me think of a warm cosy jumper!  That sentiment with the birds is so pretty too. Thank you so much for two beautiful cards Maria XXX

Sonia

Sonia's Description:

I’ve used Kraft card, both sides to get the different shades. I used the AALL and Create ‘Create it Grunge’ stamp inked in Memento ‘Espresso Truffle’. The sentiments are from The Stamp Market.

Sonia you always seem to work some kind of Magic when it comes to Kraft card, I am always so blown away by your designs, you have a gift there!  This card is no exception, I absolutely love it, using both sides of the Kraft card is a brilliant idea too.  Thank you so much for taking part and for inspiring me! XXX

Karen

Karen's Description:

Here are 2 cc They’re almost a Two-fer
I cut the Sue W Big Bold HAPPY in 2 shades of blue and paper pieced them in reverse The birthday one is backed with a piece of Clarity paper The Christmas one has an embossed piece of card with Sue W folder.

Two fantastic cards and it showcases the versatility of the die set too, the one on the Clarity paper is amazing, I think the colour of the letters compliments the papers perfectly.  I love the starry background of your Christmas card, I don't think I have seen that E folder before. Thank you so much for taking part my lovely XXX

Janet

Janet's Description:

For my first Challenge Card this week I used LABLANCHE new kit titled 'AUTUMN' and my main colours are 'SHADES OF GREEN'

My second Challenge card is also a LABLANCHE kit called 'CIRCUS' and for this one my main colour is 'SHADES OF RED'

For my last offering this week once again is LABLANCHE and this kit is called 'SYMPHONY IN BLUE' so my colour is 'SHADES OF BLUE'

Three fantastic cards from Janet for this weeks challenge,  I love the Autumn LaBlanche kit, such lovely colours, after walking Harley down past all the fields earlier today we were both in awe of the colours of all the different trees, Autumn is a close rival to Spring for prettiest season. I do love the detail on these papers, look at that beautiful bird on the last card.  Thank you so much Janet for 3 amazing challenge cards. XXX

  1. Morning Everyone
Oh Sunday morning is such a joy looking at all the beautiful craftiness and today is just beautiful.

As you can imagine it's madness here. We haven't been to Marigny for two years as this week and both of us have really got out of the routine of booking/sorting/making endless lists etc etc. At the moment we keeping looking at each other and saying 'we need/don't forget/have we got' so you can imagine how many lists I have etc. I am also getting birthday cards done and by the end of the week posted so when your card arrives please keep it until the day.The letter to Sylvie and Daniel went Friday afternoon so I have everything crossed that it arrives in time for the water to be turned on and the log burner has been on.Fingers crossed.

The CAFE is of course OPEN and today's lunch menu is Roast Chicken with Bakewell Tart for afters.
HUGS are on their way to you all.PLEASE TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFE.xxxx

I enjoyed keeping to one colour but also struggled a bit even though I am not very good at “mixing” other colours in
I hope the household is in one piece after keeping all of the pets separate
I was home alone last night so I cracked on with some crochet
It is to go with this year’s Halloween costume (if it works!
I am so pleased you finally have your passport JANET and good luck with the lists and packing

  5. Hello, it’s a lovely day here at the moment, but it’s not going to last.

Really great display of cards today, I really enjoyed this card, first time for ages, hope this weeks goes as well. Thought I might did out my chalks again, not used them for ages since I bought my oxides.

R is playing at church for harvest festival this morning, so have been catching up with the vacuuming, I don’t do it much it hurts my back, but R had cheese and crackers for supper last night, they always make a pile of crumbs.

Hope you have a pleasant afternoon. Lilian

  6. Hi everyone
A beautiful selection of cards today, they’re all lovely.
Lilian, I have that Tim Holtz stencil too and it looks beautiful with the butterflies on your card 😊
I hope Harley, Bella and Milo are behaving today and not giving you too much of a run around.
Work was very quiet again today, so much so that I finished a bit early! My colleague said it was pointless both of us sitting there doing nothing. I spent the last couple of hours doing wordsearch puzzles!
I hope you’re all having a good day. Sending hugs to you all xxx

  8. Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. Lots of fabulous cards to enjoy. As always have all made beautiful cards.
I hope Harley and the cats didn’t wind each other up too much xx
I didn’t manage to get downstairs until late afternoon yesterday so had to be content with listening to everyone carving their pumpkins and playing. As you can imagine with 9 people doing them that there was a lot of laughter and fun going on. Another lovely memory xx
Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for all in need. Take care xx
