Another Monochrome challenge card

Good Morning Ladies,

Well the first day of the week just flew by,  I wonder if the rest of the week will be the same.  It was another beautiful day, I didn't get outside though,  I spent most of the day pottering in my craft room, not achieving very much, you know that feeling where you have an idea for a card,  in your head it looks amazing,  in reality it doesn't match your idea at all ??!!

Today's card is one of those cards, its all shades of grey, nearer 5 than 50 though 😉.  I stamped the image in Basic Grey, (Feels like Home stamp)  and die cut with a circle and backed with a scalloped circle in Basic Grey card,  my thinking was that the Shades of Grey brick effect paper would work as a background with the stamped image being a front door!  But I'm not sure that really worked but I just went with it  anyway, I layered the brick effect paper onto a mat of Basic Grey and then onto a white card base. I stamped the sentiment in the same colour and matted on to grey. The colour looks a lot lighter on camera than in daylight .

I am looking forward to meeting up at Watford today, as always I wish it was all of us that were meeting up, one day it will be !!

I hope that you all have a lovely day,

Love and hugs,

Sandra                                                                                  xxxxxx

  1. Morning Everyone
    Great Card this morning SANDRA.

Well after lunch on Sunday I went and had another photo taken to send off for my new Passport. The lady photographer was very kind and took two or three pictures and all of them (according to the computer) had problems but she said the only thing to do after deciding on one was to send it off and put an explanation in the 'comment box' explaining that I cannot raise my head to full height etc etc. Anyway I sent the photo off along with comments and as yet I haven't heard anything.
There is one thing I definitely know 'is that I shall not be applying for another Passport in ten years time.'

HUGS are on their way to you all.PLEASE TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFE.xxxx

I went The Range yesterday for odds and ends I ended up spending over £40! I needed a couple of airtight containers to freeze soup I bought a new large Pyrex dish because I’d broken the lid of my old one, a new utility knife and a large airtight cake carrier!
I am so excited about today I wish it was all of us Maybe we can FaceTime/Messenger the missing ones later
    Take care all xxx

  5. Hello Sandra and ladies,
Love today's monochrome card, it all works together perfectly.
Well I'm on my way to Watford. Had planned my journey with tfl journey planner, sat waiting at my local station for my train to show on the arrivals screen. Asked at the ticket office. Apparently it only runs on Saturdays now. The website gave me times for today. Managed to get a train to Clapham and a train on to Watford. So I will get there before home time.
Have a good day everyone, hugs Brenda xxd

  6. Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. I love today’s card, that stamp is so versatile and the brick background works a treat with it. I am a very happy bunny having spent today with some of my lovely friends and I got to craft too which I haven’t been able to do for so long so all in all a great day.
Sonia, it was lovely to meet you “in the flesh”. I’m glad you got home safe and sound xx
We were all thinking of those of us that couldn’t join us. One day hopefully we will all get together even if only via Skype etc. for some. Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for all in need. Take care xx

  7. Hello All, so glad you all had such a lovely day and are home safely.

Sandra love your card today, that brick paper is so unusual.

I’ve almost finished my card for this week, a bit of a simple design but it just needs a sentiment.

    Hope all well, Lilian
