Your Sketch Challenge cards

Good Morning Ladies,

I hope that you all managed to enjoy some time in the sunshine yesterday, or in your craft room which is a close second as far as pleasure goes.

We got loads done in the garden, it was so lovely outside we just kept going all day, it's so rewarding at the end of the day to see the progress too. I will let you know if I slept well!

You have all made some stunning cards for this weeks  challenge, so let's get on with the show......

Brenda

Brenda has used her Card-I-O stampst create her beautiful Challenge card this week.

Brenda's Description:

" I used card-io stamps and edged the stamping with Stampin Up Delicate detail lace, I used the finest one in the set. Then I decided to add ribbon to define the edge more.
I used. Berry Burst card for the sentiment and finished it with Glossy Accents."

Brenda I love your card, the curve looks much less harsh than the straight edge. I also love how your little bow sits so neatly on the edge of your curve.
Thank you so much for taking part XXX

Lilian

Lilian took a break from sewing Masks to create this lovely Challenge card.

That border you have used across the centre is so delicate and pretty, your floral corner fits the Challenge perfectly too, I just love your finishing touches, adding the stamped detail under your sentiment.

Thank you so much for taking part XXX

Maria

Maria has created two beautiful cards, the first is such a beautiful aqua colour, Maria has  used a pretty background die to give some lovely detail to the top of the card, those three flowers are so beautiful Maria and add a real delicate touch to your card.  I love it !

Maria's second card features a beautiful floral die cut piece, the die cut is so pretty and the card needs no other embellishment, the sentiment in the opposite corner is just the perfect finishing touch.

Thank you so much Maria, I love both of your cards XXX

Sonia

Sonia has made two stunning cards for this weeks Sketch Challenge, the first card is a really bright fin card that Sonia made for her work friends, such a kind thought Sonia x I love your fun design and the die cut hears finish your cards perfectly.
Sonia's second card is a real WOW, so beautiful, that Prima paper you have used is gorgeous, and the Butterfly adds beauty to your design.

Sonia's Description:

"My first card is for my lovely work colleagues. I am very fortunate to work with a wonderful team of ladies and just wanted to show my appreciation after having the time off recently.
I cut the rainbow strips from Bazzill card stock, and also the little hearts. The ‘you’ die and the sentiment are from Sugar Pea Designs.
For my second card I used Prima papers matted onto the cream card stock. I added a glitter card strip and the Tim Holtz butterfly. The sentiment is from LOTV."

Thank you so much Sonia, your cards are gorgeous XXX

Karen

Karen has made a lovely, bright and fun card for this weeks Sketch Challenge, I love that bright and cheerful paper Karen, I think I have a small pad of that paper from Die Cuts With a View.

Karen's Description:

Here’s a cc
"Patterned paper from Serif kit Happy Birthday embossing folder Sue Wilson sentiment die and strip from Sue Wilson 3D bows"

Thank you so much Karen I love your card XXX

 Michele

Three amazing cards from Michele for this weeks Challenge, the papers you have used are incredible, the glitter looks like it has been added on, the purple one reminds me of a Geode, your friend  will absolutely love that card.

Michele's Description:

3 challenge cards, didn’t think I was going to get anything made then I remembered these papers that were free with Making Cards magazine recently. The 2 blue ones have an Embossed panel on the lower part of the card & I’ve use the Creative Expression Happy Birthday sentiment Die again. Purple one has a panel of white pearl card cut out using a Die from China (I think), added a Sentiment & a bit of bling!

Thank you so much Michele for 3 amazing challenge cards, I really appreciate you taking part. XXX

Janet

Janet has made an incredible 4 cards for this weeks Sketch Challenge, all four of your cards are just so beautiful Janet, the details you have added to your cards enhance either the die cut corners or the pretty backgrounds that you have used.

Janet's Description:

1. The red card for the background and mirror card for the corner and sentiment are from Tonic. The corner die is also a Tonic die and the sentiment die is a 'Crafter's Companion die.

2. The green card for the background and sentiment are again from Tonic. Again the corner die is a Tonic corner die and the sentiment die is Sue Wilson. The flower decoration on the corner are LaBlanche.

3.The backing vellum is from my stash purchased years ago. The sentiment die is Sue Wilson and the corner decoration is LaBlanche.

I did some sewing yesterday morning OH had taken the cover off a neck pillow and the stuffing was “loose” So I made a lining for it In the afternoon I did some more on my Flag book which I am thoroughly enjoying doing and it’s nearly finished Yay! I have made loads of mistakes and learning so much Tracy’s workshops are definitely worth the money
I will be doing more sewing later but OH has gone back to bed! Which means he’s next to my craft room! It’s his sister’s birthday today so we will do a video call later
    Take care all xx

  3. Morning Ladies

Another amazing selection of challenge cards today. It always surprises me to see how we all interpret the challenge & make our own style cards.

Morrison’s shopping was ok but they never have everything in stock so called in Co-op after I’d been to the butchers . Put the shopping away & had a coffee then off out into Southport to pay in a cheque I’d got for my birthday, only to find the banks aren’t opening on Saturdays! Hopefully that will change once the shop restrictions relax. Sandra kindly informed me I can pay them in online so that’s a job for today.

  4. Hi Sandra & ladies
Wow what wonderful creations on display today. Should have looked through my stash to see if I had anything that would do for this challenge.
It was also windy here as well yesterday. We have a blanket of cloud over us today.
I hope you had a lovely birthday yesterday Sonia. Yes please Janet, Roast beef & apple pie for afters sound just the ticket.
Gill in Australia has been sending emails from her computer which aren’t being received. Although I’m not to sure why she doesn’t use her iPad as she sent me an email on Tuesday which I didn’t receive.
Stay safe everyone and hugs for all those that need one.

  5. Morning ladies,

What wonderful challenge cards today, they cheered me up no end.

Jamie has badly broken his leg doing one of his culvert inspections. He slipped and fell down an embankment ending up in the water. Took the Air Ambulance an hour to find him. It turns out the GPS apps on his work phone are not compatible with the emergency services. The operation to reconnect the bones has been successful.
The last couple of days have been rather stressful for our family as you can imagine.

    Love 7 hugs

  7. Hi everyone
A fabulous selection of cards today, all beautiful 😊 I too, love seeing everyone’s creations on a Sunday.
Glad you got lots done in the garden Sandra, and I hope you slept well. I suggested to Mark we go to a garden centre one afternoon, but he didn’t seem too keen on the idea 🙄 May pop in there after work one day. The gardens looking pretty bare apart from a couple of lavender plants, so just want to add a bit of colour.
Had a relaxing day yesterday. James bought a cake and Luke cooked dinner which was lovely, and the evening was finished off with another zoom call with the family. Not as long as the last one, just a short 2 hour one 😂
Hoping to do some crafting today. Mark got me some alcohol inks, so I’m hoping to have a play with those, and also a Gel plate.
Thank you all again for the wonderful birthday wishes yesterday. Have a lovely day.
    Hugs to all xxx
