Good Morning Ladies,
Well that was a glorious weekend and we get to make the most of the lovely weather this week as Paul is on 'Earlies' so will be home early afternoon, which is lovely, particularly after last weeks shift where he gets in eats his dinner and then it almost feels time for bed.
I was planning on doing some crafting this weekend but the garden needed me more, my body is also reminding me of that with every step that I 'try' to make, this week is definitely going to be a week where I depend on others to help me get dressed, I am used to that now, it's both frustrating and humiliating but I try and think of the fun we had together at the weekend to try and make it more acceptable.
I was so thankful that Michele saw my comment on the Blog messenger last night, I was fully planning on making a card after my bath but after I got out of the bath I felt almost too relaxed, thankfully we had mostly prepared dinner. Anyway as I was about to get out of the bath I received a message from Michele saying I saw your message and thought you might need some cards for tomorrow's blog! How amazing is that, I could have kissed you Michele, bet your glad you are 100's of miles away and that we are all social distancing!!
Michele's first card was made using the 'House of Zandra'' Cd rom, I bought on of these years ago when the lady that used to sell 'Flower soft' was selling them. Ummm, it's on the tip of my tongue...
Katy Sue Designs, we are talking many years ago! Any way the CD's are beautiful and they feature Hats, Shoes and Dressforms all in beautiful designs.
I love your card Michele the colours are stunning!
Michele's second card was one that she made at the Card-IO Class she went to last year, sadly I think that the garden centre has closed down now, any way the design is just gorgeous.
You have created the scene so perfectly Michele, you can see the snow banks and the glow from the fair going on from behind those houses, I love the yellow glow from that light too, so much to see, I also really love the way that you can highlight a piece by shading a circle around it.
Thank you so much Michele for TWO stunning cards. XXX
I hope that they give you a little inspiration ladies.
I hope that you all have a good day,
Love and hugs to all of you,
Sandra

Morning Ladies
ReplyDeleteSandra-your comment did make me laugh, let’s make it a virtual kiss of thanks!
As Sandra has explained about my cards, they’re ones i previously made that just fitted this weeks challenge.
Housework yesterday then I actually spent some time in my craft room completing cards using the digital printouts I’d did a few weeks ago. Managed to sit out for a short while then the sun disappeared and it was far too chilly to stay outside.
Goodness-Monday’s seem to come round very quickly!
Michele
Morning Everyone
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards MICHELE.
I too made a birthday card using the same theme but my cd is from Dolly Dimples and is called 'Dazzling Dresses'.
I have to finish a couple of birthday cards today -these are for my eldest Great Granddaughter who is going to be 9 at the end of next week. It will be the first year that she will not be having a family birthday party from birth.
Mr Tesco is also delivering today so a busy day for me.
The CAFE is OPEN ready and waiting for you all to pop in for a cuppa and a chat.
HUGS are on their way to you alll. PLEASE TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFE.xxxx
Hi Janet
DeleteI think dolly dimples took over the house of Zandra. I saw them the last time we went to Ally Pally. My word that was a long time ago.
Two lovely cards MICHELE I ought to make a start on some Christmas cards I wonder what it will be like this year
ReplyDeleteI hope your aching bones are easing SANDRA
The weekend seemed to flash by I didn’t seem to achieve much but OH did by adding a “lining” to the bin shed that is now part of the porch Hopefully it will become a boot cupboard
Back to work today I wonder what changes are being planned In all fairness I do not want to go back to the office I want to stay in my safe place
Take care all xx
Do you have to go into work Karen. I thought you were able to work from home. Or do you need to go in every so often.
DeleteHi Sandra & ladies
ReplyDeleteTwo lovely cards today Michele.
Now I have some boots images @ a birds CRRom from the House of Sandra. As I mentioned to Janet I think they’ve been taken over by Dolly Dimples. I also bought their pens when I was needing new colouring pens. My granddaughter has these now as I wasn’t too impressed. I saw them the last time we were at Ally Pally. My word that was a long time ago.
I hope your joints aren’t feeling so sore this morning Sandra.
Jo my chiropodist should have come this morning. I rang her on Friday to see what’s what. She rang me back to say she only doing clinic appointments at the moment. So I’m waiting for the man who makes her appointments for her to ring me with a date in June. She’s using PPE and she’s been fine.
Stay safe everyone & take care.
Morning ladies,
ReplyDeleteGreat news, Jamie is home!. He has one of those boots things on, can hardly walk but their decision to send him home as soon as he could walk with crutches and climb stairs, albeit very slowly, was taken with his best interests to heart. Recovery at home is far better than staying in a ward and keeps him away from contracting the dreaded potential covid-19. They had to clean out his wound where the bone went through his leg and the operating sites to put the two rods in. Gentle recovery now in baby steps.
love 7 hugs

Hello everyone, sunny here, but chilly when the sun goes behind a cloud.
ReplyDeleteSorry forgot to comment yesterday, the day just slipped away, loved all the cards.
Michele, two great cards from you today, good of you to help Sandra out.
Sandra please don’t feel you have to do a card every day, much as we love seeing them, I know at times it’s difficult.
We have had a new parasol delivered , the sort on a stand that goes behind the chairs, you should have seen the box almost ripped in half and large holes in the package. Have taken pics I case it’s damaged inside.
Not much else happening here today, very short of breath today, hope it improves as the day goes on.
Have a good day all. Lilian
Hi everyone,
ReplyDeletetwo very nice cards Michele.
Honestly Sandra if you do run out or not feeling like making a card sometime you know we are here just if you need to talk, have a cuppa and a virtual hug 😉
I have a mojo who is very temperamental a☺s you know ☺
Cheryl- understand Jamie wanted to get home from hospital asap. Hope he be alright.
Karen- will you be able to see your grandchildren soon-ish ?
Hope work wasn't too bad.
Lilian- do take care. Have you got an inhaler of some kind to help when you feeling out of breath ? Hope you feel better as the day goes.
Had a walk around town this morning. Lot of things happening with new buildings and I think they making a even bigger car park then we already have new. New flats and offices, new homes. Glad we live on the outskirt but we have some fields around where they might build something on one day....
My new Sister face timed with me last night and to my surprise my Brother and his Wife popped their heads up too 😁 They have driven from their home up North down to our Sister in the South and it is the first time they met. I'm very happy that they at last have met up,only had liked to been there too...sun is shining and the sky is blue with a gentle breeze so will sit in the garden and read a book and have myself a coffee with a cookie Son made last night, it will make me feel brighter.
Have a lovely day everyone. Hugs to all, Maria xxx
