A Fun card by Michele
Good Morning Ladies,
Did you all enjoy the lovely sunny day yesterday? We certainly did, we also finally managed to get our compost and grow bags, I will say that B&Q have the most strict restrictions put in place for preventing the Virus that I have seen so far, thank heavens that we had done the 'Click & Collect' as the queue was horrendous, I have never seen anything like it, they were queuing in the full sun too so it must have been super hot, luckily for Paul thee was no queue at all for the click and collect so he was able to fetch everything we needed without waiting for hours in the queue! The Tomato plants looked so much happier with their feet in a Grow Bag, fingers crossed for some lovely tomatoes!
I loved this card that Michele has made using a La Pashe Decoupage kit, the thing that I love about these cards is the level of detail, there is something different to see every time you look. These cards never fail to make you smile. The dog has a smile on its face, I imagine its because he is hoping for something to fall from that BBQ.
It's so terribly sad to see that the news about the Virus isn't getting any better, I would be very worried about the country starting to return to the 'new normal', do any of you understand this testing thing, I keep seeing people that are Nannies or Carers that are going to get tested to so that they can go to work but surely they would have to keep going for them?? They might be clear if they get tested today but whats to say they don't contract the virus a couple of days later? People seem to be talking like they can have one test and thats it, I just don't get it. My cousin is a Nurse on a busy ward, they were tested routinely last week and she and 4 other nurses tested positive despite having NO symptoms, think how many vulnerable people may have been affected. I guess its good to know that you have had it, but does that then make you immune?
It just seems that the future is very uncertain until we have a vaccination that will give us a bit of protection.
Rant over, sorry Ladies, I have tried to not talk about the whole virus thing but it's been really worrying me this past couple of days.
Stay safe my very dear friends,
Love and hugs to all of you
Sandra

Morning Ladies
ReplyDeleteSandra-sounds like the Click + Collect was the perfect idea.
My card was made for a colleagues 50th birthday. The camper van one from last week was also for her but for another colleague to give her. One of you lovely ladies sent me the La Pashe decoupage sheet a very long time ago-it does take me time to use things but I always do use them!
Early start as we have a prem baby that requires IV feeds ordering for the Bank Holiday weekend.
Michele
Great card MICHELE I have used La Pashe before They really are fun/cheeky kits When I bought them you had to fussy cut them and I’m not very good with fussy cutting Do they do die cut ones?
ReplyDeleteI will take another look at their site now I’ve been reminded!
I totally totally agree with you about the testing etc I was watching Peston last night (something I never really do - Even politics in general He had Gordon Brown on who said that this is totally the case People need to be tested regularly It fills me with horror the thought of having to go back to the office I would like to be able to visit the grandchildren but that’s all
It’s all too risky and unpredictable Since the chief medical officer debacle I don’t know who or what to believe anymore Another suggestion has been people take their temperature at home before going to a venue etc Sorry mate but some people if they’ve paid good money they aren’t going to bother with that If having temperatures taken is a way of proving that you haven’t got covid-19 then it HAS to be done on arrival But your sister has disproved that! Soap box back in the corner
I am able to take the Bank holiday off So I am looking forward to that But what we’ll do with ourselves I don’t know
Have a good day ladies Big hugs xxx
Hi Sandra and everyone.
ReplyDeleteLovely fun card today Michele 😊
I totally agree with you Sandra about the testing. Due to mine and James’ work, I thought it was best if we all got tested on Monday after having slight symptoms over
the weekend. I didn’t have a fever though, in fact my temperature was low, but had a sore throat, a few coughing episodes and tiredness and generally felt
unwell. Since yesterday I’ve felt so much better, but we are still awaiting our results. I worry, like you, that what’s to say our tests come back negative, and James and I both return to work, that we won’t still catch it? We hoped our results would come yesterday - they say you should receive them within 48hrs, but can take up to 5 days! I understand they’re under pressure, but in a profession like ours you just want to know if you can get back to work. I feel as if I’m letting my work colleagues down by not being there at the moment while I’m feeling well, but it really isn’t worth the risk of possibly passing something on.
Anyway, I’m going to make use of my time and do some crafting, and it’s relaxing 😌 I hope you all have a good day.
Stay safe, hugs to all xxx
Morning ladies,
ReplyDeleteA very quiet day yesterday for Dad's funeral. My brother has sent me videos that he was allowed to take of the proceedings. A dignified service that befitted him.
I am now making headbands for the NHS so if anyone has size 20-25mm buttons I would gratefully receive them please.
However you spend your weekend I hope you have a lovely time.
Love 7 hugs

Morning Everyone
ReplyDeleteMICHELE-what a fantastic card.I too many moons ago used La Pashe and yes all that fussy cutting was a nightmare but worth it in the end.
We have sunshine again today but in the shade it's still a little chilly.
The CAFE is OPEN waiting for you all.
HUGS are winging their way to you all.PLEASE TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFE.xxxx
Morning ladies.
ReplyDeleteThis is a fun card. remember getting it from Pat once and I sent it to my parents who always been into camping then caravan etc.
Worried as well if we let people mingle too soon and you can get it later on even after having some kind of symptoms but not the covid-19. I'd like to see a test to say that you have had it, not got it. UK is no near over.
Sonia, take care and glad you feeling better.
Cheryl, thinking of you.
Brenda, any news about your sisters parcel ?
Gardening today so need to get on the B&Q site later to see about some compost. Hope you get a nice crop of strawberries and of course of everything else Paul have planted this year.
Have a nice day day everyone and many hugs are being sent to you all xxx
Hello Sandra and ladies,
ReplyDeleteMichele love this fun card, great for anyone who is into camper vans or even camping. I really love it.
Update-SIL‘s mother was Discharged from the hospital yesterday afternoon, haven’t had an update today but I’m sure everything is well in place for her to return home.
My sisters moisturising cream arrived this morning. This one came directly from Clinique they use Parcelforce for delivery. Sadly the order being delivered by Hermes still hasn’t turned up, but I have put a claim in for that. which I hope in time will be sorted out.
Have a good day everyone - Enjoy whatever you are planning to do.
Love Brenda XXX
Hello All, showers first, but getting better, a bit warmer.
ReplyDeleteMichele love your, I remember these and the laborious cutting, although I used to love fussy cutting, couldn’t do it now.
Like you I can’t see that testing is doing a lot of good, as you could be clear one day and a few days later be infected, I think we will have to wait for a vaccine before we are really safe.
Have a good the rest of the day, am going to do some weeding. Lilian
