Your 'No Die' Challenge Cards

Good Sunday Morning Ladies,

Here we are at the most popular day of the week here in the 'Cafe', the display boards just show how much you all enjoyed this weeks 'No Die' challenge.
The thing that amazes me is the fact that maybe 3 or 4 years ago a lot of us would have had a full on panic at the thought of creating a card without any dies as they were the base, main body and embellishment tools of our cards.  We have all come so far since the discovery of that 'faux Misti tool !!
Brenda

Two lovely 'No Die' cards from our Brenda,

Card 1: Brenda has used the gorgeous Hero Arts Leafy Swirls stamp and added Honey Doo Blue Diamond Embossing powder before heat setting,  the stamp is so lovely that it needs no embellishment,  Brenda added a hand cut sentiment to finish this stunning card.

Card 2: Brenda's second card is a lovely stamped scene made up of different Card-I-O stamp sets, the cat and mouse really do bring the whole scene to life.  I love it Brenda x

Thank you so much for taking part Brenda xxx

Janet

Janet created 4 fantastic cards for this weeks 'No Die' challenge, a lovely selection of styles too...

The first card is a simple design using a gorgeous Rose stamp that has a lovely script background, such a lovely stamp, I think it would also look lovely on a Distress ink background too, Janet has added some extra detail with a lovely vintage style stamp around the edges.

Cards 2 & 3 are absolutely gorgeous Groovi cards, the first is a beautiful lace frame with a pretty floral spray, that Janet has coloured the flowers with a lovely shade of purple and echoed this colour in the base card.  I love how you have added peel off's around the edges of the parchment, such a brilliant idea Janet, adhering the parchment can be so tricky.
The 3rd card is a pretty country scene with a quaint little church in the background, I love the detail of that dry stone wall too and you just want to open that gate and walk in.

Card 4 features a lovely topper/post card that features a pretty flower with a vintage background, Janet has stamped the Birthday sentiment too and layered up onto a lovely embossed base card.

As usual you have 'aced' this challenge  Janet, thank you so much for such a lovely variety of 'No Die' cards xxx
Karen

Karen has designed and created 3 amazing 'No Die' challenge cards for us this week, they all use different techniques and products, I love them all.

Card 1:  Karen's first card started out with the gorgeous image from Serif, Karen then coloured the flowers with that vibrant shade of yellow.  I really love the look of this card, having the black and white background really makes the yellow flowers 'pop' and look almost 3D.

Card 2: karen has created a stunning background using a method called 'Baby Wipe Technique '  (it is completely different to the one that I did with inks),  I will add Karen's description below.....

"I’ve just had a simple play with that Eclipse paper IT’S BRILLIANT! I printed of a Serif sentiment and outline Masked off a panel and blended on some Distress Oxide Inks, I masked off the edges and added more Distress Oxide inks"
Karen then stamped the flower stamp and coloured it, to finish the card.

Card 3:  Karen used the Free Stamps that came with an issue of Creative Stamping magazine last year, ( I used the same stamp on the third card that I have shared above), Karen has stamped and fussy cut all of the elements and arranged them onto that loved vintage style stamped background.

Thank you so much Karen for 3 amazing challenge cards, you have shared so many styles and techniques xxx

Maria

Maria has made two absolutely gorgeous cards for this weeks 'No die' challenge, Maria your cards are so lovely, I love the colours of your first card and that Christmas card is stunning.

Card 1:  Maria used only a Guillotine to create the layers for this beautiful card, I love the Spring flowers Maria and you have coloured them beautifully.  The sentiment on the card reads ….
" No matter how long the winter,Spring is sure to follow"

Card 2: Maria has created this amazing Christmas card for a challenge on another blog, it works perfectly for our challenge too, for this card Maria has fussy cut all of the Poinsettia layers by hand, The colours are stunning and so vibrant Maria.

Thank you so much my lovely for 2 stunning challenge cards xxx

 Michele

Michele has reached for her lovely 'Ella's Design' CD Rom for this weeks 'No die' Challenge cards, all three are downloaded images that Michele has trimmed/fussy cut and arranged to create these three lovely designs.
Thank you so much Michele xxx

Pat

Pat has created this beautiful Groovi card featuring beautiful flowers and butterflies, the pretty border was all 'Picot cut' by hand, Pat has coloured the flowers and butterflies and layered the whole piece onto a blended ink background.
Such a lovely design that works perfectly for this weeks challenge, thanks Pat xxx

Lilian

Lilian has used an absolutely gorgeous 'No Die' challenge card using a beautiful Spring Flower stamp, what a stunning combination of colours you have use to colour your card, pretty crocus's and lily of the valley make up the pretty bouquet.
Your matting and layering really intensify the colours that you have used Lilian, thank you so much for taking part my lovely xxx

Thats all for today's post lady, I would like to thank Michele for suggesting this particular challenge, we have all enjoyed it. xxx

I hope that you all have a lovely Sunday ladies,

  1. Morning Everyone
Oh what a stunning selection of 'No Die' cards.
All different themes and styles. A beautiful start to a Sunday.Thank you MICHELE for the Theme.

Well we once again have rain to start the day.Yesterday morning was more like a November day rather than a Spring one. It did clear up for a couple of hours but then back we went to rain and wind.

I'm sorry lunch isn't available today in the 'Cafe' as I couldn't get my normal spot for Groceries on Friday. When I signed in to do my normal grocery delivery. At08;30 on Thursday morning the first slot available was today at 12.00. I couldn't believe it. But that's how it was so my weekly order is being delivered between 12.00 and 13.00hrs today. I have to say that I did pre-book my slot for this coming Friday. Yesterday shopping in M&S was more like Christmas shopping so many trolleys packed to the rim so much so that the lady on the till made the same comment.

HUGS are on their wayto you all. Please take care and stay safe.xxxx

  2. Morning Ladies

WOW-what an amazing selection of challenge cards today. This was certainly a Challenge to me as I almost always use my Dies on cards. I think my next challenge with be using my Cardio stamps! I detoured to the garden centre where Cardio are now based yesterday only to find it closed. But strange on a Saturday-I know they’ve closed the garden centre as a business but I had hoped to find them open to sell Cardio stuff.

Breezy but fine day here at the moment. Housework this morning then possibly a walk to the beach if it stays fine after lunch.

  3. Brilliant cards today I admit I did go into panic mode a little because I usually use a die to cut the layers and/or the sentiment! This was a great challenge So thank you MICHELE
QUICK APOLOGY My 2nd card isn’t the baby wipe technique (I did do one but I haven’t made it into a card) It is purely one layer inked with using the Eclipse paper as a mask
It is absolutely disgusting to see people panic buying I think the government needs to implement proper rationing now and not just ask people to not panic buy as clearly there is a lot of selfish people around
    Please take care everyone xxxx

  4. Hello All, just finished ironing, won’t have so much to do now, as all hubby’s meeting are cancelled. Means more meals to cook, as he is usually out at least three times a week. All change.

They are talking about over 70s being quarantined for 16 weeks, hope it’s an exaggeration, with volunteers delivering shopping. I have not bulked bought so might be a bit tricky.

Such a beautiful lot of cards on display today, I’m amazed that you managed to do more than one card.

Not much happening here to day, hugs to you all, Lilian

  5. Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. Wow, so many wonderful “no die” cards to enjoy. Just love looking at all of the different styles of cards and images used on them. A great challenge that made me realise how I do usually die cut at least one part of a card even if it is just a flower or something. I did actually get two cards finished but as is so often the case I forgot to send them to you, sorry my lovely xx
On my way to see Mum and Pop now. It is a grey wet day here. Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for all in need. Take care xx

  6. Hi Sandra and everyone.
Wow, what a lovely display of beautiful cards. Well done to all, a ‘no die’ card is such a hard challenge to do!
Been crafting today and have to admit I’ve made my first Christmas card for this year ☺️ Perhaps if I try to make one a week, then I’ll have enough in my stash so I won’t have to buy any.
Hope everyone is having a good day whatever you are doing.
    Hugs to all xxx

  7. Hi ladies.
Wonderful display of no die cards, happy, cute and colourful images and some lovely groovi cards too, love them all.
Have not been up to anything today except talking to my Brother for a while.Sad if our trip to Sweden will have to be cancelled, it's a few months away but I'm already thinking it will not be.
Son couldn't get his delivery either yesterday but first today and half of the products were changed. It's talk about the army to help out at shops and hospitals. Take care all and stay safe. Hugs to all, Maria xxx

  8. Hello Sandra and ladies,

Another super Sunday with so many beautiful cards on display, I love all the inspiration we get with each challenge.

Had a quiet day today, not that I feel like going anywhere anyway, trying to avoid crowds and just being sensible. I have plenty to keep me occupied indoors and in the garden (weather permitting) The weather must be getting warmer as our tortoise has started to move out of his little house, having hibernated all winter.

Time to put the vegetables on, rest of our dinner almost ready so better get a wiggle on.

    Love Brenda xxx

  9. Hi Sandra & ladies
Nearly missed today’s post as I thought I’d put one on this morning. What a fabulous display of cards today. Great to see your groovi cards Janet. All cards are fabulous ladies.
A very wet day today. Although it petered off mid afternoon. Had a lovely lunch at Danny & Joan’s today as well.

  10. I honestly can’t see how over 70s to be isolated for 4 months, which is what a friend rang up and told me can work. Lots of people live on their own but have no family. So being isolated for 4 minutes nths would be a huge mental strain on them I think.
