Good Saturday morning Ladies,
I hope that you are all well and enjoying the weekend. I hope that none of you have to go out and fight for your toilet rolls and hand soap! We went out yesterday afternoon as we usually do to get our shopping for the weekend, as we pulled into Aldi car park we saw too women with a trolley literally over flowing with packs of toilet rolls, tissues. hand soap, more than you would ever think of buying. The problem is that people that are going in to buy their normal weekly shopping are unable to get the products that they actually NEED! We were able to get both toilet rolls and hand soap that we have needed all week, we only bought what we needed though, I think that the Shops should put a limit on the amount of each product that people can purchase. Even the Prime Minister has put out a statement stating that there us absolutely no need to stockpile products! I think that this problem has occurred because of the Press scaremongering!
Our first delightful craft today is Janet's incredible Diorama, a beautiful scene inside a white frame, with extra images added to the front of the frame to give dimension to the piece.
The box, backing paper and all laser cuts are from La Blanche, which I think has fast become one of Janet's favourite craft companies. I can totally understand why, their images are beautiful and everything looks so well made.
Thank you so much Janet for sharing your Diorama with us, its stunning xxx

Karen
Karen bought this 'Crafty Roo' Stamp designed by Clare Horner at Stamperama, it's such a modern design and works so well with the Honey Doo Paint Splash stamp, Karen made this card for her Niece, who I am sure will love it. I love that sentiment too Karen, perfect for young/teenage girls.
I look forward to seeing what other designs you come up with for this stamp, I imagine you can make it look quite different by using different colours and mediums. It would be fun to have Hairdryer/Brush/hairspray stamps or images in the background too. xxx

Michele's Magazine Review
Papercraft Essentials has a great free gift this month.
Here’s some ideas of what’s inside the magazine.
First of quite a few photos showing what you make using the free gift.
More ideas.
Even more idea's!
This look like a great technique that makes some lovely cards.
Interesting article on stamping.
I’m sure we’ve all got some lace that we could try using to create some of these ideas.
Lots of great ideas in this magazine.
Happy Crafting
Love Michele
Thank you Michele for another great review, those umbrella cards are lovely, so vibrant and cheerful. I have a Stampin'Up! Stamp set with dies too, I might have a go at some of these. They would be good with the Card-i-o stamps too.
I love the look of the Slider cards too and the Tone on Tone stamping, such a great idea and looks really effective.
I am a great lover of lace so that feature is definitely one I am interested in!
Michele I have bought 3 magazines that I wouldn't normally buy because of your Review, I am going to have to stop reading as I post! hahahaha.
Thank you so much my lovely xxx
Well ladies that's all for today's post, I hope that you enjoy the rest of your weekend,
Love and hugs to all,
Sandra

Morning Ladies
ReplyDeleteJanet-what a stunning card, it’s lovely.
Karen-great Card, perfect for a teenager. Like the the bright colours you have used.
We have reasonably bright start to the morning although it has just tried to rain. I’m popping into Southport this morning for a few bits (no-not toilet rolls or liquid soap!) then I hope to have a play in my craft room. Off out tonight with hubby-we’re meeting our ex neighbours for a meal.
Michele
Morning Everyone
ReplyDeleteThank you SANDRA for showing my Diarama. It's the first time I have tried to do one of these and I really enjoyed doing it.I have to say that LaBlanche do make things easy as their products are so lovely to use.
We're off on our usual Saturday morning shopping but not buying or stockpiling anything other than food from M&S for the week=end.
The CAFE is OPEN and waiting for anyone to pop in for a look and a chat. Fresh cream scones will be waiting for you all this afternoon so help yourselves.
HUGS are on their way to you all.Take care and stay safe.xxxx
Your diarama is gorgeous JANET I have never ever attempted one
ReplyDeleteLove the magazine review MICHELE We hope to go shopping tomorrow (not for hand wash) but to replace a 43 year old serving spoon Hopefully I’ll get to go to WH Smith or Sainsbury’s
We said straight away that shops need to limit the number of purchases They do it for Special Offers sometimes
I hope to craft today but the mojo has gone on holiday That saying certainly applies to me!
Have a great day ladies and look after yourselves xxx
Hello Sandra and ladies,
ReplyDeleteJanet love your Diarama, you said it’s your first attempt - WOW it’s lovely. xx
Karen, Fantastic card for your Niece, I’m sure she will love it. xx
Michele, Thank you for the Magazine review, some very interesting ideas in this issue.
Sandra I really do not get why people are stocking up on toilet rolls and hand wash etc. We have always have spares, I assume most households have. Surly that’s enough. We went into Asda shopping, as we were going through the till the assistant said “what no toilet rolls or hand wash” apparently almost ever customer has them in their shopping trolley!
Enjoy the rest of your day ladies, Love Brenda xxx
Hi ladies.
ReplyDeleteOh Janet, I just love your diorama. It looks little bit like some jigsaw puzzle I made once with similar picture. I love it!
Great card Karen for your niece, she will love it. Lovely colours on her towel.
Thank you Michele for the magazine review. Hope you are fine and the shops aren't too bad.
I haven't been in the supermarkets this week but oH went to Lidl this morning and they still had both toilet rolls and hand soaps, why do people have to panic like this ? Like someone said the other day, there are still bar of soaps on the shelves.
The saying is funny, pinterest is a dangerous place Lol
Not doing much this afternoon. Managed to make the cc this morning and have sent it to you Sandra. Sorry being so late once again. I need more day's in the week sometimes, not always.
Glad you home safe Brenda, do take care and rest today if you cane.
Sending many hugs to you all and hope you have a nice day.
Lynda, Margaret, Val, extra hugs being sent for you. xxx
Hi Sand a & ladies
ReplyDeleteJanet I love your diorama. It’s not something I’ve ever tried.
Great card for your niece Karen. Lovely bright colours you’ve used as well. I went into Sainsbury’s shopping. A gentleman was pushing a trolley into the shop saying to his son who was sat in the seat. I do hope they have some toilet rolls. His brother had been into two shops around Oxford apparently and they had none on the shelves. He thought it was madness as well.
Great magazine reviews as always Michele.
Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today.
ReplyDeleteI love your diorama Janet. Haven’t ever fried to make one x
Karen, I love your lady with the colourful hair and like Sandra said it would be good to see her with different colours x
Michele, thanks for the review. I have bought two magazines thanks to your reviews last week. You should be getting a commission from the publishers lol x
Brenda, I’m glad you’re home safe and sound. It sounded like you had a lovely time with your sister, apart from the funeral of course x
We actually needed loo rolls, liquid hand soap and tissues this week, have had to buy different brands but at least we have some. Sainsbury’s were sold out of liquid soap and loo rolls and I overheard one lady while she was picking up kitchen towel saying “ I will just have to cut this on half for loo rolls”!
I hope you have had a good day. Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for Lynda, Mum and Maria and all in need. Take care xx
Thank you aka the for your love
