My TicTacToe Challenge Card

Good Monday  Morning Ladies,

I hope that you have all had a nice relaxed weekend, ours was quite relaxed, although our Lucy is quite poorly, she has had flu for a couple of days but deteriorated a bit through Saturday, I was quite worried about her, so hard seeing your loved ones poorly.  Later on yesterday I started to feel rough, my whole chest area aches like its bruised, although I don't have a cough, but went from being so hot that I felt sick to being super cold, my heart was out of control (which seems to be the norm when I am feeling unwell).  So we are watching and waiting, hopefully it's nothing and it will pass overnight.
It wasn't a time to be feeling off colour as Paul was cooking up a wonderful Roast Beef dinner, it smelt so good that even Lucy managed to make it downstairs for some.
I bought a chicken and veg to make some homemade chicken soup to give our immune systems a boost.  I really fancied making some French Onion Soup too, have any of you ever made it??

Janet....Extra loo rolls are in the cupboard under the stairs for the café loo, you may want to chain them on! 😉😜

Today's card which I have to say that I love! is one I made while Pat was over last Tuesday, I made it using my new Sara Davies 'Vintage Lace' paper pad.
I rifled through my paper boxes to find some card that would work with the colours in the paper pad, I decided on an aqua blue colour, I took a 5 x 7 card base and added a mat of the aqua card, I cut a piece of the paper off and edged it with 'Milled Lavender' Distress ink, I then die cut the lacy border panel from the same range, I cut the base die with the aqua card and the lacy top piece with white card that I coloured lightly with the milled lavender distress ink.
I found some flowers in my box that worked with the colour scheme so I added them and arranged them into a 'bunch', I added a few extra stems to make it look more like a bouquet and added a aqua bow to finish the look.
A few matching pearls and die cut sentiment is what I used to finish my card, I hope that you like it as much as I do.
I used categories:  Punch/Die cut/Patterned Paper/Floral (straight down the middle) !

All being well I am hoping to fit in a little crafting today, I am hoping that Lucy feels better today too and that nobody else picks up what she has had.

I pray that you all stay well, lord only knows what the news will bring this week, but hopefully we can all.....

Sending love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra

Sandra-what a beautiful card, so pretty. I made 2 Cards did this challenge yesterday and they’re both awful! Think I’ll start again.

Just wondering what updates we’ll have been issued with at work. I need to go to the Post Office after work plus Tesco (just for bread + fruit) so hopefully it wont be too horrific.

  5. Hi Ladies.
Sorry to hear you feeling rough, hope you both are better soon. Sil and her husband are ill so now they are self- isolated themselves for 2 weeks. Can't see anyone being at home for 4 months Pat. We had a lovely walk around the lake this morning, just so nice to see the sun again and the heat on our back.
Beautiful card Sandra, pretty colours together.
Hope to make a start on a cc today but also have some facetime with mum and dad later this afternoon.
Many hugs are being sent to you all and extras for anyone who need some. Take care xxx

  6. Hello, a lovely sunny day here today, so lovely to be out in the garden, cutting back my hydrangea pots, they are full of lovely shoots, poppy buds and iris about to flower, such cheery sight in these gloomy times.

Sandra beautiful card, lovely soft colours. Do hope you and daughter are feeling better.

Just made banana cake, also macaroons in the oven, so I’d better get some dinner, scampi i think, ( sorry for the minutiae) hugs to all. Lilian

  9. Hello Sandra and ladies,
Sorry to hear Lucy is so poorly and you are also feeling unwell, I hope yours has not developed into anything nasty. I understand how the AF is pulling you down. Try to keep calm and not get to anxious xx
I have been FaceTiming granddaughter in Leeds, university has all but closed down, but she has exams coming up so intends to stay up there as it is easier to study than when she is home. Fingers crossed 🤞 she sticks to her plan.

Battery running low so I will say goodnight, love Brenda xxx
