Paul's Anniversary Card
Good Morning Ladies,
I hope that you are well and that you got to enjoy the sunshine that we had yesterday, managed to get some more washing dry thankfully, it was mostly towels to be honest and I did a towel wash midway through the holiday to freshen up the towels etc.
We like to be organised, so that all of the 'Holiday' towels go straight into a storage box with the bed linen that we take and get stored away so that they are all ready for next time we go away, my Top Tip for storing holiday clothes/towels etc is to put some Tumble Dryer sheets in between the towels or clothes, that way they smell amazing when you open them up.!
Mum was up and getting around with a Zimmer frame yesterday which was amazing to hear, I did try to call her (as she has a phone by her bed), the nurse answered for her and told her it was me, she then said to Mum 'Do you want to speak to Sandra' ? Mum's response was ''NO, tell if she wants to chat she needs to visit me'' It's nice to know that she hasn't changed!!!
Today's card is the Anniversary card that I made for Paul, I made a black card base, then used brushed silver mats, I die cut the Stampin Up Jigsaw die in white card, before removing it from the card I added double sided tape to the back to hold it togeher.
I randomly stamped those little hearts on the background, I then stamped the 'love you & to pieces' in versamark and added black embossing powder and heat set, I then die cut them with the matching jigsaw piece dies, I felt the jigsaw pieces needed to be placed onto something so I used the brushed silver card and die cut a heart, I layered all the pieces together and added a '28' as that is the number of years we have been married.
I stamped the 'You are my Missing Piece' stamp and embossed with black E powder, I then die used the matching die (which is also a mini jigsaw but you can't tell from this angle) I used another die set to cut a scalloped heart to put the piece on to to make it pop!
To finish the card I cut another silver and white layer to place my die cut 'Happy Anniversary'
Paul loved it (thankfully), I hope you do to.
I hope that you all have a lovely day,
Love and hugs to all of you,
Sandra

ReplyDeleteSandra-your Card is stunning, no wonder Paul likes it!
Glad to hear your Mum is doing so well.
Busy day yesterday at work & I was shattered by the time I got home. Got s cryptic message from my Mother in Law saying she was at Chorley hospital and they were waiting for transport to take them back to the Nursing Home. Never did find out what was wrong with my Father in Law!

Hello Sandra and ladies,

Nice to read Mum is on the mend, As you said nothing has changed !!! Hay ho that’s life. xx
We had a nice time in Wimbledon yesterday - well when we eventually got there that is. We decided to go via Streatham, CityThames link trains pass through and stop at Wimbledon, we hadn’t pulled out of the station when the driver announced he had been ordered to stay put as there was a drunk trespasser on the line at Sutton and the power had to be turned off to enable this persons to be removed safely. We eventually got to our destination, but the chaos this person caused, so many trains were diverted and obviously then in the wrong place for the service to continue normally, I believe it was 7.30pm before anything like normal service was resumed. All because of one sad (silly) person. Rant over - Soap box away.
Having a sort-out day today and reorganising two chest of drawers in the second bedroom, the bag for the charity shop is getting bigger by the minute. Definitely I’m in the right frame of mind to have got so far.
Take care everyone, Love Brenda xxx
Good evening Sandra and ladies
