Lilian's Christmas Card

Good Morning Ladies,

I hope that you all had a relaxed Boxing Day, ours was very relaxed, the girls were working,  the Wildlife Park was quite busy, they both looked exhausted when they got home, Sophie went off to Lewis's and Lucy felt rough, she has a really sore throat and cough bless her, she did a covid test just to be safe, which was negative thankfully as we have a house full tomorrow with Becca, Adam & Benji and Matt & Alex, I am really looking forward to it.
I didn't feel as bad yesterday,  I think the worsening symptoms were definitely a side effect from the Estrogen pesseries, I still think that I have the UTI but it's manageable at the moment,  fingers crossed it stays that way as I finished the full course Antibiotics last night and start the low dose today. 😔😏

No cooking here yesterday,  we ate cold meat, cheeses and picky bits, which made a nice change. We are just having a cold buffet today.

Today's card is the Christmas card I received from Lilian,  I absolutely love this scene, it looks like an ancient forest, waiting to be discovered.  Here is Lilian's Description:

I used a piece of paper from a Stamperia pad, called forest, I had forgotten all about it, it’s mostly wild life, but I thought this background suited the the tree stamps from stamping up. A few gold stars and some stickles.

Thank you Lilian for a gorgeous Christmas card XXX

I hope that you all have a delightful Tuesday,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra                                                                                  xxxxxx

  1. Morning Everyone
    A beautiful card LILIAN.

Well our quiet day turned out to be far from quiet. Jim has been coughing and feeling unwell all Christmas so he has been taking some of the antibiotics which were given to him when he was discharged from the hospital a few weeks ago but yesterday he really needed to see a doctor. It took all day to get him an appointment but he managed to see one last evening at a walk in centre. So he has another chest infection and more antibiotics for the next seven days hoping they will do the job.

HUGS are on their way to you all. Have a lovely day everyone. Please take care and stay safe.xxxx

  2. Hi everyone
Lilian your card is beautiful, and the Stampin Up trees work fabulously with the paper 😊
I hope you’re feeling better now Sandra, and the low dose antibiotics help. Hope Lucy is ok too xx
It will be lovely for you having the whole family together for the day.
Janet, sorry to hear about Jim, fingers crossed the antibiotics clear his chest infection xx
Well, it’s day 9 today and I’m still testing positive! Can’t believe it’s hanging around so long - it’s certainly making up for me never having it before! I should have been at work, but I need 2 days of negative results before I can go back.
I hope you’re all keeping well. Have a good day
Sending hugs to you all xxx

  3. Lovely card Lilian That background paper really suits those stamps
I hope Jim gets better soon and the negative results start Sonia (my OH tested positive for 13 with no symptoms at all!)
OH found a Salsa event yesterday afternoon so we went dancing and were home by 10pm - positively early in the Salsa world!
Easy day for me OH is off to Chelsea!
    Take care everyone xx

  5. Hi Sandra and all looking in today. I am grabbing a few minutes quiet moments from our mad house. Sadly Roz is at home with raging tonsillitis. Phoebe had it last week and Penny the week before so they do believe in sharing. It is something they all get quiet often.
Sandra, I have everything crossed that you don’t need to ring 111. Sorry you are getting bad side effects. Sending big gentle hugs my lovely and hoping today goes well xx
Sonia, glad you are feeling better but sorry you’re still testing positive. I hope that changes very soon xx
Janet, what a shame Jim had to wait so long to see a doctor, you were clearly not meant to be off to France this holiday!!! I hope he starts to feel better very soon xx
We had a semi quiet day yesterday, mad house today then quiet tomorrow to try and recover 🥰 Have a good day and take care xx
