Our Next Challenge

Good Friday Morning Ladies,

As if by magic it's Friday again!  This time last week I was just finishing up the third course of antibiotics, who knew that by Monday we'd be on the 4th course!  Fingers and toes crossed I think these ones might be making a difference, I now have no sensation when 'going' which hasn't been the case for weeks, no more tingle, burn or at its very worst razor blades!!  I also noticed that I appear to have gained a lot stronger flow, I really do hope that this 4th lot has done the trick!

Karen I hope that your antibiotics have kicked in and you are starting to feel better too, anything chest related is just so exhausting, stay warm and keep your feet up, no 'swear wording' for you this week, the dust can wait !!  XXX

Sonia, I hope that your cold is over super fast and doesn't make you feel too unwell, it must be so hard going into work feeling rough, make sure you rest when you get home, send Mark or the boys into the kitchen!  Gentle hugs XXX

Janet did you get through your Christmas card mountain yesterday?  Making them is one thing writing them can be a chore, do you write a little 'debrief' of your year or just keep it simple?  XXX

Maria how are you getting on with your new Sizzix Machine?  They all take a bit of getting used to, you will be whizzing through your die cutting before you know it.  I hope that you aren't in too much pain today my lovely XXX

I will catch up with the rest of you later.

Our Next Challenge

As requested, we will continue with the 'Old Die' Challenge for another week, I think that we have all been surprised at how many old dies that we have accumulated and most of them forgotten about,  I know a lot of mine were definitely forgotten about!!

I did find it hard thinking of ways to give the old dies a 'New Look' though but I think that was partly down to feeling rough and not being able to concentrate properly.

I have shared another batch of cards showing more 'Old Dies' I actually think that all of those are Sue Wilson dies !

I look forward to seeing your designs and contributing a little more myself this time.

Sending my love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra                                                                                                                                                          xxxxxx

Oh well 'swear word' day again. They seem to come round faster and faster. I also have Mr Tesco delivering this morning.

Yes SANDRA I managed to get all my cards signed and sorted. I keep it very very simple. I now have piles of them on the piano instead of on the dining table next stop multiple cards into one envelope (these are birthday cards for Dec with Christmas cards) and then off to be posted.

HUGS on their way to you all with many extras for Dear Friends not feeling toowell. Please take care and stay safe.xxxx

  2. I cannot believe how many “old dies” I have You must have read my mind too because I was thinking about how long ago was it when I used those Paper Cuts edger dies designed by the lady from Pink Ink
I feel a lot better I even went for a short walk yesterday to get some fresh air
I don’t plan to do a lot after work but will be productive in sewing up a crochet camel and flamingo I have to do them in natural daylight
    Take care everyone xx

  3. Hi everyone
Loving all your cards today 😊 I have the die set in the first one, but have rarely used it, along with many others! ☺️
Glad to hear the antibiotics seem to be working and you’re starting to feel a bit better xx
I’ve just got home from having my covid booster and flu jab. Fortunately I’m off work this weekend, so have time to recover from any ill effects. Still feeling a bit rough with this cold, but I’m keeping myself dosed up and I did have a better nights sleep last night.
Hope you’re all ok and had a good day
Sending hugs to you all xxx

  4. Hi everyone
Glad to have another week to be able to make anything for this cc. I am in a bit of a state and the room definitely look like a bomb has gone off so tomorrow it is me who got to do something about that.
I follow the sandwich you helped me with and sometimes it works and sometimes not. Must be the thickness of the card/papers but I will get there. The plates are heavier then I'm used to so my shoulders are burning might have to stand up and see if that work
better. Did some stamping and then come to the colouring bit and , well it is all in the bin. Tomorrow is another day. On a happier note, I had a delivery from the Swedish shop today so Christmas is saved hihihi
Many warm hugs to you all and well wishes for anyone not 100%

  5. Hello Sandra and ladies, WOOPS I have only just realised that I haven’t left a comment today. This morning I had to go and have my INR checked, it low so now have to go back next week. Returned home made a hot drink for both of us and then fell asleep, woke up in time for lunch sat down afterwards and had another nap. So really haven’t achieved very much today.
Love, love, love all of these cards, all of these ‘old dies’ can still hold their own.
Fantastic news that your medication is at last taking effect, it must feel great to go to the loo and not have that awful feeling. Fingers crossed that it has last responding to the medication.🤞xx
Take care everyone, big hugs, Brenda xxx
