Your TicTacToe Challenge cards

Good Sunday Morning Ladies,

I hope you are all relaxed and enjoying your Sunday, we are having a 'lazy' day today after yesterday's busy day.

It really didn't feel the same in the cat on the way to Farnborough yesterday, we usually have our excited crafty chatter, talking about what we have on our shoppibg lists and what we were all hoping to see, the journey home was the same, we usually have a bit of a 'show and tell ", going through our shopping.  I don't think Paul was as excited to see my craft goodies!!
I do hope that everyone that has been feeling rough is starting to feel better.

The craft show itself was smaller than in previous years and not quite as well laid out, I managed to find some things to buy though 😜!
It was so lovely to spend time with Brenda, we saw Brenda (little lamb) too which was lovely, she came and had lunch with us, it was lovely to catch up.
We sat on a table with a lovely bunch of ladies, who we had a lovely chat with, one of them lived in Banbury and one used to live in Witney (it's a small world)!  They did say that they would pop onto the blog and say 'hi' ….
'Hello Ladies' if you are looking in, it was lovely to meet you all xxx

Let's look at your incredible cards......

Karen

Karen has used a SW Papercuts die for her gorgeous Challenge card, I absolutely love your beautiful design Karen,  first of all the colours you have chosen are so lovely, I love your background piece that you created with Masks/stencils. The flowers and cute foliage really lift your card, giving that touch of luxury and  turning into a gift, adding a frame to a card makes such a difference too.

Karen's Description:

"Here’s a cc I’ve just done circles (or mask)-flowers-birthday
Honey Doo mask inked with Picked raspberry Spun sugar and Shaded violet DO
Paper cuts Happy Birthday
SW camellia flowers and a WISH die foliage I wasn’t going to add the extra flowers but I managed to dent the frame! So instead of a butterfly I used flowers to hide it"

Thank you so much Karen for such a beautiful,  inspirational card xxx

Michele

Michele reached for the older SW dies for this week's TicTacToe Challenge too, I love this card Michele, could be used for Men or Ladies, young or old, I love the colours you have used too.

Michele's Description:

"Challenge card-Neutrals/birthday/Circles. Sue Wilson striplet Die, Spellbinders deckle  edge rectangle Dies for the sentiment, the sentiment Die was a magazine freebie years ago" Thanks so much Michele for a fantastic Challenge card xxx

 Brenda

A lovely Birthday card that works perfectly for this challenge from Brenda, using Scalloped Circle Dies to create the card base itself, then another layer that has that lovely Sweet Poppy stencilled wreath image that Brenda has glittered.  Two pretty shades of narrow ribbon adorned with some die cut flowers finish this gorgeous card.

Categories used:  Circle/Ribbon/Happy Birthday

Thank you so much Brenda for such a fantastic, inspirational card xxx

Janet

Janet, wow, 4 stunning cards, thank you so very much, your cards are amazing, you really work wonders with those Tonic Dies Janet, those cards with the ribbon woven through look so luxurious,  I absolutely love the clock face card too, that die could be used for so many occasions and can be used with so many card styles, from pretty floral to vintage.

Janet's Description:

"Here are my offerings for this week.
My first card is made using Heartfelt Creations dies and I used Flowers/Circles/Window.
My second card is made using Heartfelt Creations die again and this time I used Flowers/Ribbon/Birthday.
My third card is made using Tonic Dies and I used Texture/Ribbon/Circles
My last card is one I made some time ago and again is made using Tonic Dies with Circles/ribbon/Birthday."

Thank you so much Janet for an awesome display of cards xxx

Lilian

Lilian has created beautiful birthday card for this week's TicTacToe Challenge.  That frame is stunning Lilian, I know you used a Mask but did you place the mask directly onto the card and then add the blue ink after? The glittered paste gives both incredible detail and great texture to your card.
Those beautiful birds and flowers embellish it perfectly, the colours work perfectly.

Absolutely lovely card Lilian thank you so much for taking part xxx

Maria

Maria used 'Neutral' tones for her  Challenge card this week, it's nice to see the older SW cards being used again, i am pretty sure that most of us have them but we never get them out anymore, I feel a Challenge coming on!!!

Maria used Categories: Texture/Neutral/ Happy birthday

Thank you so much Maria for taking part in this week's Challenge,  I think your card would be great for a man too, I hope you have started to  feel better my lovely xxx

  2. Morning Ladies

What a fantastic selection of challenge cards-all gorgeous.

Sandra-I love the idea of using our “older items “ as a challenge.
Like Janet, we have a calmer start to the day-breezy & damp but much better than the last couple of weeks. It’s meant to be fine from midday so we might be able to go for a walk before hubby sits watching the Rugby (I’ll retreat to my craft room)!

My brother & sister in law did make it down-they saw some terrible flooding as they came through the Lake District. We had a great evening-they tried to call an Uber cab but they’re non existent here so they gave up & walked in the rain/wind. Luckily it’s not too far to my Dads which is where they’re staying.

  4. Morning ladies,

Gorgeous array of challenge cards today ladies. Needless to say mine got lost in translation. I knew what I wanted to do but the inspiration didn't get there.
I think I needed more time to work on it as using craft items not used before, perhaps I'm trying to run instead of plodding.

Milly-May was so amazed and pleased with all the nice comments you made about her hat yesterday and says 'thank you very much'. I told mum Lucy about the blog so she sat down with Milly-May to show her and read all that you have said. One happy little crafter. Now she can't wait to go back to school to show her class and teacher. She really loves all that she is learning and soaks it up like a sponge.

B cards to do today and finish off my challenge swap for Nina over on Riley Rose. Must get it done this morning for Jamie is coming home this afternoon.
I've had my cooking head on all week, Milly-May helped with the veg w for her dinners Monday and Tuesday, braised brisket and banana cake cooked Thursday and Beef and Onion pie for tea tonight. I cook in stages like that for the freezer and for the days where I can't be bothered, it's so easy to pull something out to defrost then reheat.

Enough rambling, I hope your Sunday is brilliant

    Love 7 hugs

  5. Hi ladies.
Wonderful seeing so many lovely cc's this morning. Like Janet saying I'm glad we don't have to choose a favourite because I love them all.
Yes, I went down the road to look at my older dies. They never see the day so a challenge to make some more of it would be good.
Read on a facebook site about other people who had been to Farnborough this weekend and it was something about electric cables which wasn't reaching everywhere so the stalls had to be put closer together. Also about parking for blue badge holder was further away then norm and it was a hilly bit when going back so I hope you were alright Sandra and Paul too. Hope Littlelamb was fine and she's doing alright.
Glad your Brother managed to come to see you Michele. During the night and the first bit of this morning we have had a lot of rain and the wind is still raving but OH popped to Lidl to get some things in.
Karen, enjoy going to the cinema. We watched Joker last night, not my favourite.I don't like clowns.
See you later tho for a roast pork Janet and pudding, well one can dream Lol
Hugs to you all and hope anyone down soon are feeling better.Maria xx

  6. Hi Sandra & ladies
A lovely array of cards today. I’m still feeling yucky today. Backs not so bad when I’m sitting down though. It’s when I get up to do something that it hurts. Plus the top of my right arm is very hurts. Sorry I wasn’t able to make Farnborough again this time. Looking forward to seeing the goodies you bought. Little lamb & I do keep in touch though. But it was nice for you to catch up with her.
Great cards today ladies. I look forward to seeing what you all made on a Sunday.
Cold & windy her in Oxfordshire. Then it absolutely chucked it down with rain. Now it’s stopped and the suns come out. I do feel sorry for all those people that have been flooded though.

  7. Hello Sandra and ladies,

Some many lovely cards for this weeks CC. So much inspiration to take in. xx

It was lovely seeing Sandra, Paul and Littlelamb at Farnborough yesterday, we all went our separate ways and met up for lunch. Although it frequently happened that Sandra and I were looking at the same stall !!!

Today started off dry and bright we even had a few bursts of sunshine - that’s all changed now it’s raining 🐈 and 🐶 fortunately I have no plans to go out.

JANET if you a any roast pork left I would love some, it’s not one of Johns favourite meats so I don’t often buy it. I was reading an article that said cook pork in milk - removing it from the liquid for the last half hour to crisp the outside, it is supposed to make the meat beautiful and tender........Has anyone tried this method?

Enjoy your day, love Brenda xxx

  8. Hello All, weather as normal, nears blown away.

Super cards for boards this morning, I love Sunday’s to look at all your lovely creations.
Sandra you asked how I did my frame, I used one of LeBlanch (spellings?) 6/6 stencils they are sticky on the back and made of very thin soft material, I masked off the central oval, glitter paste first, blue the only pot not rock hard, then knocked it back when dry. When I finished it the piece of card was too big so I had to fussy cut it out, nothing straight forward these days.

Back to doing some more of my quilt today, might get it finished before I’m 100yrs, if I’m still here that long. Hugs to all Lilian
