Some More 'Grunge Inspiration' for you (Thursday Throwback'

Good Morning Ladies,

I hope that you are all well, we had a beautiful sunny day yesterday, it was a 'window's open' day, time to air out those germs!
I have had such a lovely week this week, Monday Pat came over to craft, Tuesday I spent the day with me gorgeous girls on their Birthday, Wednesday Sue came over and I had another lovely crafty day, we both git a little messy doing some 'inking', Sue made some lovely backgrounds, I was making another card for 'Inlovearts', I will share it with you in a couple of days.

Today I am sharing with you a few more 'Grunge' cards that I have created over the past couple of years, I really love how they turned out to be honest.
The first two were made using the Stampin Up! Gorgeous Grunge stamp set, I used 'Night of Navy' and 'Lemon Lime Twist' on the first card and 'Night of Navy' and 'Crumb Cake' on the second card.

The third card was made using a blend of inks on the front piece (that was white), I then added a Tim Holtz Wildflower die cut and a Background die too, that I used to reveal the background colour of the card, this would be a fun card if you had created a 'Caught in Crystal' background/Blended Background too, or you could add some glitter behind too.
I stamped a sentiment to finish my card and that was it.

I hope that these cards will inspire you a little (if you haven't made your cards yet)

A quiet/crafty day today, Tracy Evans is demonstrating her latest AAll & Create stamps release all day today on Hochanda so I might sit and do some Groovi'ing while I watch her.

Then tomorrow we have our Meet up at Watford, which I am really looking too.

I hope that you all have a lovely day, however you are spending it,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra

  3. Hi Sandra & ladies
Lovely cards today. I remember seeing the first card being made. I think I tried to make a couple as well. It’s also frosty & foggy here today. I’d better find out where the fog lights on my car are before I go out. I looked awhile back as they were on the end of my light switch on my other note. But they’re not on this one. I enjoyed seeing Cabaret yesterday afternoon. But it was quite disjointed I thought. Has a couple of nude bits in it. Wasn’t expecting to see those not knowing the story as such. We came straight out of the Theatre went round the corner as the bus to the Park & Ride came round the corner. Just queuing traffic as we came out at 5.10 so going home time traffic wise.
Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow as I missed the last meet up. Off out to lunch with Heather & Perce today as we’ve not been for a few weeks I’m looking forward to that.

  4. Hello Sandra and ladies,

Three lovely examples of Grunge Sandra, you are really brilliant giving us loads of inspiration and motivation, THANK YOU xx

We woke up to a thick frost this morning, fortunately the sun came out and it has now melted, hope the same has happened where you live. The forecast is for storm Ciara at the weekend. Now our Ciara is nothing like a storm, more the calm home maker. (I know I’m biased - but it’s true)

MARGARET hope you are comfortable xx
LYNDA How are you, are you still in hospital xx
Sending caring hugs, Love and Prayers to you both. XX

Trying to decide what I should take with me tomorrow, I have been enjoying playing with my Copics and Polychromos lately might take some colouring to practice, also my Groovi stuff hasn’t seen the light of day since.........can’t actually remember!!!

Take care everyone, love Brenda xxx

Michele-hope the visit to FIL went ok. Take care.
Brenda-Hope Ciara do bypass us and it wont be too bad. Like Lilian I had thought about tidying up the garden a bit but not if it blowing gales, then I be indoors playing instead Have been trying to make a cc but haven't got anything together yet. The days have gone me by and tummy and pain have troubled me all week so we'll see what I can make.
I'm sending special hugs for our missing friends and hope you soon back with us, Lynda and Val ,Take care.
Keep warm and wrap up if going out. Have a nice day all. Hugs Maria xxx

  6. Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. I love today’s throwbacks grunge cards, especially the gorgeous teal colour on the third one. I really enjoyed making some backgrounds yesterday and would have finished at least two if I hadn’t had problems with my black fine detail embossing powder that was so fine that it vanished!!! The same make but in fine detail clear ep worked very well so a bit of a mystery why the black didn’t. I will have to have a chat with the company to see what they have to say about it. Anyway I just have to add a sentiment then will send you a photo Sandra. I’m looking forward to seeing some of you tomorrow xx
Mum, see you on Saturday. Love you xx
Lynda, sending gentle hugs. Can you get Terry or one of the children to get your Groovi kit out as it is the ideal craft for sitting in comfort in front of the tv with it on a tray on your lap as it isn’t at all messy and will help to pass the time? Love to you and Terry xx
Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for Lynda, Mum and all in need. Take care xx

  7. Hello All, it’s been a lovely day , managed to get a big load of washing done, just as well as the weather at the weekend is set to be foul. We are in front when the storms blow in.

Lovely cards today Sandra, love all three of them. Looking forward to tomorrow’s challenge.ar

Hope you all have a lovely meet-up tomorrow, I’d love to be with you , but just to far. Will be thinking of you all chatting away.

I am still changing my room around the tables I wanted to use are too big, so have ordered a couple and a new trolley, as the castors have broken off my nice wooden one that I use for my cricut maker.

Is Lynda still in hospital? If your looking in hope you are on the mend. Hugs to all ,Lilian.
